After doing a bit of searching online, it looks like there is only one CDMA carrier in the Philippines which is BayanTel. The phone will not work on any GSM carrier regardless of whether the phone is "unlocked".
Your provider needs to have a roaming agreement with a CDMA carrier in the Philippines for you to get service.

You can't really "unlock" a CDMA phone. It doesn't work like a GSM phones does. The only way you will get service on that phone in the Philippines is if you have service with LG U+ in Korea, and if LG U+ has an international roaming agreement with BayanTel in the Philippines, and if your service plan with LG U+ includes international roaming.

there so expensive though? whats the differences?
I just got my e973 from bell today.
It works (LTE TOO!!) on AT&T.
So... I assume the AT&T LGOG works on Bell in the reverse. You will need to setup bell's APNs for sure though.
Good Luck!
I bought a LG LU6200 from Korea. It seems to be the Korean version of Nitro HD. I have come to USA now and bought a 4g number from AT&T yesterday, but the simcard cannot be detected by the phone. I want to buy LG optimus G E970 from USA ebay site (my friend can get it to India)
--> cgi(dot)ebay(dot)com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350976364795#shpCntId
Will unlocked LG optimus G E970 work in India, on GSM career ? Is it dual sim, dual standby ?
Please suggest as I need to decide in 1-2 days. Also does anyone have any ebay.com coupons ?
That phone is not dual sim, it is single sim only. It works with the gsm bands 850, 900, 1800 and 1900. For hsdpa it works with 850,1900 and 2100. If any carrier in your country works with those bands then you can use it. I use it in honduras with the850 band for both gsm and hsdpa, phone is working fine.

Thanks for the reply .. I see that bandwidths supported in India are GSM - 900/1800 and HSPA - 2100, which is supported by this cell. I am ok with one sim. What does unlocked mean here ? Also can you please tell if anyone has an ebay.com or some other site coupon (USA) ?
Thanks for your help.

Unlocked means sim unlocked to use with any carrier(which is what you should get), if the phone is sim locked you would have to pay to have it unlocked(the unlock code costs about $5 on ebay. Can't help you with the coupon thing since im not in the US.
Edit: There are some good deals on ebay right now for this phone, yuo can get a used but in god condition fro $150-$190, and new one go from $200 up (plus shipping) which is an awesome deal. This phone gives great bang for buck.
I'm wondering if anyone here has a D855 variant of the G3 in Canada yet? In theory it looks like it supports the 2600 band for LTE - can anyone confirm?

If you'r still looking for an answer, look here
If you have already bought, plz share your experience on network compatibility.
Ok, I just noticed your signature.. seems you went the T-Mobile route. Good call, supports everything. How much did it cost?
