Hey guys,
So this morning I got prompted to update to 4.4.3 (i think it was that version). anyways i clicked okay to install it, so i left my phone and came back.
when i looked at it, it just was a black screen and was stuck. I reset it and now i can only go to the stock recovery mode or it just boots up to a black screen.
What can i do? if i plug it into the computer it cant install the MTP driver.
Thanks for your help!

You could have waited for a few mins before taking any action. The OTA update process clearly states that you should not disturb the device and/or use it when the updates are being installed. Looks like its software bricked. Try a reset from the stock recovery. I'm sure nothing would happen, as the OS would have been corrupted. At this point, I recommend you to get it fixed via HTC. :good:

Hey guys,
I was running a stock version of android 4.2, rooted etc. Last night there was a message in my notification toggle which said i had to update.
So i clicked the message, installed the update but i think the update was corrupt or something. The update was 840kb or so.
I dont really remember what i clicked because it was late in the evening etc. Now my nexus will just show the splash screen and nothing more.
PC doesnt recognise it when i connect it.
Does anyone have an idea of how i could fix this? Would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Edit: i cant get into clockworkmod recovery too but i can get into odin mode

you shouldn't update if you're not running stock (stock recovery, stock kernel, etc), i guess that what messed your system up.
is fastboot working for you? if so, you could flash the stock image from there. i think that's the only way since recovery doesn't working for you.
good luck.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes i can go into fastboot mode, the lock state still says unlocked.
The only thing is, i can only see the big green arrow with start in it. If i press my up and down volume buttons nothing happens.
Edit: i tried rooting and installing cwm recovery using nexus root toolkit, but it says my drivers are not installed. Any idea's of how i could do that now?
EDIT2: i am able to get into cwm recovery now. But i am not able to restore anything while i did make a backup
Stop using toolkits...
And use the guide stickied here or in my sig.

you should flash the stock image first and you can go wherever you want from there.
i don't use the toolkit, i prefer manual much more convenient for me.
anyway, this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529058 should help you flashing the stock image.
man o man, took me 4 hours but i did it.
Thanks both for the replies!
Hi,
Hello everyone,
I have a question and need your advice.
I have a HOX which starts correctly, and when it happens on the desktop, it freezes. I also hear the sound when I press the volume buttons.
In your opinion, is this a software problem? or is that the motherboard is burned out?
(It is no longer under warranty).
Thank you for your answers.
are you running stock or custom rom?
Stock Rom
have you tried doing a factory reset via the bootloader?
I have do a factory reset through recovery mode. But after this the screen stays unresponsive.
This couldn't be a problem with my motherboard?
i wouldn't say so because recovery is working are you rooted? could try re flashing the OS

This is not the same problem. Yours is a issue of bootloop (or other).
Mine, my phone freezes on the home screen.
Flash the RUU and let me know how it goes

Hello,
Long time lurker, first time poster. Sorry for a newb question but I'm panicking. I wanted to restore my phone so I read the guides, and used Odin with G925T_Stock_Recovery_ZiDroid.com.tar.md5. I factory reset my phone and rebooted, but I keep rebooting in TWRP. I can't seem to get out of it. What can I do to fix my phone? The phone does still go in download mode. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Use stock odin image and reflash recovery, boot and system. @jamcar has posted the OCG tar.
Thank you. Is that the recovery.tar.md5 file?
I think I found the thread. I'm downloading now. Hopefully this works. Thank you.

I tried to root mine and it's stuck on looping load screen. So I'm trying frantically to re-install stock ROM since I stupidly forgot to make a backup....
When I try to download the file into Odin3, it freezes Odin3 and it says it has stopped responding. After 5 tries I did get to try and start it, but it failed... Has this happened to anyone else?? Or how can I get this back?

Good stuff!
I still want to root this phone, even though it crashed using both methods (twrp and odin3).
Maybe I'll have to reboot the PC between flashes.
Hey all, I really have no knowledge when it comes to phones, so any help would be appreciated.
I have been trying to root my LG G3 for a few days now, but it just wont happen. I have tried PurpleDrake and ioroot and end up with the same error every time whilst the phone is restarting. As the screen is black and attempts to boot, in the top right of the screen, the message "Verification boot failed! cause- MISMATCH_SIG_LEN" and then the phone will just go to a black screen while the LED alternates blue and red. This also happens when I try to enter stock recovery. I know I have the latest ADB drivers installed and the right drivers for my phone, so that can't be it. My G3 is a D852 with SV 30b on Marshmallow, my carrier is Bell. Thanks.

If you able to do that than you can flash your phone again.....for more clarify you have to install your phone software again to solve this issue also you cant flash v30b again right now you have to flash any other version to boot up your phone.

Ah, sorry for the confusion, but my phone starts just fine. I should have clarified in the original question that i can just hold the power button and volume down button and my phone will restart like nothing happened. Its only when root programs try to reboot into recovery and when I try to do it manually. Again, sorry about that

Thanks a lot for your help Anik! I can be really dumb sometimes and the fact that I can't think straight at the moment doesn't help. Seems like the main problem would be is that I was downloading Autorec of the play store, which is for lollipop. Should have seen that coming with the logo... Again, thanks!
Hello,
I havent been here since my s7 edge, but im in need of some help. I did a update today on my stock sprint S9 and it was updating and got stuck at 35%. Okay cool, so just go into bootloader and factory reset right? No, I boot into the bootloader than it automatically loops back to " system install update" and starts the progressing update and gets stuck again or somehow, it loops into the "power by android logo" if that makes sense..
I'm not sure how to get my phone to work again, but im asking for your assistance. Havent updated or root my s9, so I currently have no idea of rooting or anything here. Also, its not possible to enter developer mode since the phone does not fully boot, but loop. Is it possible to get the phone to fully boot again w/o any rooting, etc? Its been awhile lol.
Thank you for your time, Tuan.

See if you're able to get into download mode and Odin the latest CSAB firmware: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1huOYnY6_7Rpjlj-8lDAo68lOJ-_usULs/view
This link comes from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s9/how-to/official-s9-pie-t3844616
How long did you wait for it when it was stuck?
Grab the latest firmware from the samfirm tool here on XDA (Or link above will be quicker)
Boot the phone into Download Mode "Volume Down & Bixby & Power" from a powered off state
Load the 4 sections of firmware into Odin 3.13.1 (Use CSC not HOME_CSC)
Connect phone to PC USB
Hit start and wait for it to complete
All being well it should reboot the phone into Android

Waited about 30minutes when it was installing the "system update" and it loop for hrs until the phone died. When trying to get into bootloader it loops the system install and updates something instead of going to bootloader.
