Can someone post their opinions and or advise regarding the current custom roms for Note 10.1 P605 LTE? I just want to know which one I should download. I will be coming from a stock rom. Are there any roms out there which is stable and has a great battery life. I will mainly use my tab for school purposes. Thanks!
I hope someone will notice and reply to this post Thanks!
I think the Hanspampel's xkat ROM is the best, but there aren't many differents. It is an Stock-based ROM and not much modified.
The two AOSP-based Custom ROMs(Cyanogenmod and AOKP) are not completly stable and bugfree, but for that very fluid.
I see, thank you for replying
I'll wait for more suggestions from others
Personally I would stick to the tried and true cyanogenmod. It offers a fast stock like experience and is fluid. Try to aim for a stable build. Keep in mind that some of the same pen features might not work which is the key selling point of the note.
Would you prefer the cm rom which is based on AOSP or a samsung based rom?
Anyway, is there's also a custom rom which is samsung based which improves the battery life?
Current on my stock 4.4.2 rom, I roughly get 9 hrs of screen time. Is that normal?
Lasty, I would like to ask if it is really an issue that our P605 doest produce a stereo sound on it's speakers?

No offence to any of the developers, i respect your work !
Im just asking, what are benefits of installing Omega or ARHD ?
I want to keep stock-like rom (because of full functionality of spen etc..). And ive been considering option to flash stock-like custom rom (Omega, Wanamilite, ARHD). So i wanted to ask you what are real benefits with flashing those roms ?
And can you tell me the difference between ARHD and OMEGA (i see some difference from op threads but i cant seem to find big difference )..
Thanks in advance

I am personally using WanamLite V1.5 with RedPill Rev 0.6. The benefits are that i was also looking for a stock based rom to keep all the phones original feature like Spen etc. The WanamLite rom, its stock based and adds better performance to the device. Also the RedPill Kernel further boosts performance while also boosting battery life. My $0.02 cents.
Are u experiencing keyboard lag on custom roms ? Its killing me on stock rom ...

To be honest with you, your best bet to get any information is to do what everybody else does. Pull up the post on each ROM where it tells you the features each ROM has then you can compare all 3 rom features and make an informed decision on which 1 you want to install. No 1 is going to do that for you.

And i will add...read the threads of each rom. That way you can get a feeling for each rom.Level of support, problems and how friendly it is.
Then as therockk says...make your choice.
I remember back when single core phones running 1000Mhz were considered fast. People were really happy. That was about 2 years ago.
Now, we have quad-core phones running 1.6GHz each core, and people still want better performance?!!?
I haven't seem much of a difference between stock and custom ROMs for the latest few phones (GNote2, S3). Look at the good things about these phones instead of the minor little performance "issues."

Stock rom and stock kernel are pretty good, especially the kernel. But i have a rooted device....i want to test the extremes...custom roms and and custom kernels give that opportunity.
Just my take but Androids not about just accepting...it`s about reaching out.
Thank you for all your replies... I decided to stay stock .. Because it fits me best. I have everything i need and performance is good.. Battery life is great..
I rooted my phone and did custom cwm just to mod it a bit... Thats all..
Thanks again folx
Hello,
can someone tell my what is the best ROM for my Samsung galaxy note 2?
I prefer a stock look i want to preserve s-pen functionality - but not the rest of the Samsung features.
I mainly want the phone to be much faster, stable, with better battery life and some extra customization features would be nice.
p.s
My note is still not rooted yet- and my current version is of the local representative of samsung in Israel.
Thank you
here you are
I would like to say that SLIMBEAN is the best rom ever!!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2115434
Note that it is still in its beta testing stage and stable release is coming soon.
but i ve flashed this and it's uber awesome!!!!
Is the "Slim Bean - N7100 " support the s-pen functionality- because it's quite important to me ?
Isn't are any ROM with a stable version....?
Whilst it is a great ROM, which will only get better, Slimbean is a "bleeding edge" AOSP ROM and is totally inappropriate for your needs. There is no S-Pen/S-Note functionality.
Omega is very stable and retains a stock TW look, with additional stable functionality (such as more toggles etc) and tweaking stock TW performance. Give it a go.

S-pen and Headphone modes work as normal.
Best ROM out there IMO
Hello to you all,
i bought recentely a g3 D855, and am having some battery draining issue, is it normal? and by the way witch rom do you suggest me to install
Thnx to you all
Interested if someone made some tests about popular roms
for me, cloudy 2.2 is the best
For me is AN 10.2 but this rom is not available in XDA (but is the best, by far)
Anyway, every user have different demands so, the best rom for me do not necessary mean is the best rom for you.
there's no best rom. all are equal and yet different in their own types. it all depends on the user. try them all pick what you most like.
and threads like this is not allowed here in XDA. no to roms/ bias
In general, you have to choose between AOSP ROMs and stock ROMs. AOSP ROMs are stock-like android versions which have neat tricks up their sleeves. They are super-light on the system(meaning it's lighting fast), you get newer versions faster, the community is bigger and you get to customize it more freely, but the cons are that the camera doesn't have the same quality as the stock ROMs and there are some missing features which are kinda-unique to our phones.
AOSP ROMs best advatage for me is the battery life but although that sounds awesome, I prefer to have all my features and especially the camera. Therefore I am still stuck with Cloudy 2.2 .
After using CM12 for a few months, I finally installed cloudy and I'm very happy. I couldn't stand the annoying bugs of CM anymore (mainly the screen which doesn't respond at random times) and it's nice to have all the native features of the G3 (nice camera, knock code...).

I just got into Rooting my S4, I used to have an S3 so i'm no noob when it comes to development. the issue i am having is that since I got an S4, I see so many different Custom Roms that I don't know where to start so I thought that someone might be able to help. I just want to know your opinions on the best Custom Roms as far as lollipop and Marshmallow go for example...speed of use, OTA updates, actively developed etc. thanks for the help!

Welcome to the S4!
There are a lot of great ROMs out right now. Just an FYI, marshmallow is stable on the S4, however, there are a few generic problems in marshmallow with Bluetooth, particularly if playing audio to a Bluetooth device when receiving a phone call. Other than that, it is pretty solid and notably smooth and fast, just like lollipop.
There is a pretty good CyanogenMod 13 and Beanstock 6.0.1 out right now in the development forum, and they update fairly regularly.
There is also a really feature rich AOKP 6.0.1 that is really solid, and a PAC ROM 6.0.1 in the forums too.
If you want features and more features, I really recommend AOKP. If you want a suped up kernel, I recommend CM13 by @javelinanddart.
If Bluetooth is a must, I recommend SlimLP, or the older Resurrection remix 5.1.1.
The great thing about custom roms, is it is like ice cream, there are lots of great flavours, and there isn't really a wrong choice. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the info! I was starting to get a little overwhelmed because their are so many choices that i didn't know where to start but now I have some direction.

I agree with you hotshot247, there is sooo many. I have been toying with Team OctOs Oct-MM. It is very nice and very AOSP, with just a few tweaks available via there app. But like Alaska said it does have an issues when you are playing music/audio on Bluetooth and get a phone call.
I have also been toying with Albe95 S6 FULL PORT. It is a Touchwize 5.1.1 ROM. I didn't realize how much I like Touchwize and how much I have become a custom to it. For the most part any of Albe95 ROMs look good to me personally.
Albe95 also has another ROM I have been looking at, Albe95 LolliROM [S6/S7/N4/N5 Feature]. It is 5.0.1 base. It has a lot of features and app ports from some of the newest Galaxy phones.
Hey guys,
just got a Note 3 Neo 4G (N7505) and im not really happy with the Stock rom, because it seems quite laggy to me when comparing it to Stock android. But nevertheless, the automatic S-Pen fuction is really really great and i dont want to miss it on a Custom Rom.
So which rom you guys (I guess its going to be one of the 5.X Roms out here) can recommend me for everyday usage? I just flashed the LinOS 7.X rom, but of course camera doesn't work which is quite annoying in everyday usage.
Second question: How can I use the SPen as well as in the Original Rom? Are there any Apps to have more or less the same functions?
Would be really nicd if you just could tell me your opinion regarding to the "best" and "stable" rom for the N7505.
Thank you!
Nobody wants to answer I guess, this phone is just really unpopular, sad

Samsung note s pen is a patented hardware technology of Samsung, so you may use whatever ROM you want and s pen will work fine.
As of now I'm using stock android 5.1.1 ROM, and it is working fine and supporting s-pen without any issue, and I guess there aren't any stable 7.x Rom for this device (sad). I hope someday sometime someone will come up with stable ROM.
