ZL die suddenly when the battery reaches 40% - Sony Xperia ZL

I have a problem with cm-11-20140815-Nightly-odin.zip
when the battery reaches 40%, ZL experienced sudden death
when I charge the battery
indication of the battery becomes 1%
if anyone is experiencing the same thing?
please solution for this problem
thank you

Happen twice to me within 2 month due to battery failure. Battery need to be replace with new one.
First case, flashed stock firmware 4.4.2 from sony, battery died in 2 days after and new battery replaced.
Flashed custom rom carbon..everything run smooth. Last week i'm flashed back stock firmware 4.4.2 and battery died again.
Just get new battery replacement today and manage reassembled my own.

I am currently looking for a solution with google
I found this problem also occurs with the CM10 and still no solution.
I thought the problem was resolved when cm11 release
but it was still the same problem.
okay flash to original room again

I have seen this same with stock 4.4 and two new batteries. One new battery shut down at 20% and the second (because I thought the first was faulty) shuts down at 14%. I am convinced its a calibration issue but there is no way I can see to force calibration.

[Q] Battery Level Problem

Hi guys.. hoping some one can help with this..
Im having a problem with the battery level for two month now. Actually I flashed WIUI from CM9. I had no problem with the rom worked fine, then i did battery calibration. I think it was after that I started to see that while discharging, the battery level goes from 30% to 19% directly. So exactly 10% is lost. I ignored it at first thinking it was an issue of the rom. Then I recently flashed CM10 from WIUI. and i noticed the problem was still there. So i redid the battery calibration. Now im having battery level drop from 60% to 49%. Another 10% loss!! Thats exactly 20% lost from my battery level.
Is there some issue with battery calibration app and the froyo kernel. I am having froyo kernel. Thats the only thing thats common since i had the issue in two different roms.
Battery drops explained
Hi,
read this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778492
Regards
PS : battery calibration and stuffs like this seems to be useless ; the only thing working is charging the phone switched OFF from 0 to 100% (at least 4h) and once at 100%, keep on charging the phone switched ON.
thanx...
how do i confirm that it is a hardware problem? .. because i never had a problem for almost two years now , until i used battery calibration app. Is there any other solution other than replacing my battery. Thanks in advance.
Actually, I don't know well...
I faced same problem when I went on CM9, coming from GGL ROM (Gingerbread for Green Lens).
I didn't have this "drops" when I was on GGL, they appeared on CM9.
So I don't think that my battery went bad suddenly.
I did not replace my battery, and doing like I described above (full charges 0=>100%) several times (mabe 10 cycles) made battery drops disappear for me.
I think it is known that when you go on a new rom, it takes more or less time (that is to say battery charge cycles) to have stable battery consumption.

Sudden battery drop after screen freeze, calibration won't help

Hey guys,
First of all: i'm sorry if there already is such a thread, i was unable to find any solutions after several days with hours of googling for anything that could help.
Anyways, here is my problem:
I bought the Galaxy Nexus (Maguro, GSM-Version) a few weeks ago.
It worked all fine and i didn't flash it until CyanogenMod 10.1 came out with the monthly M1-snapshot build. So i flashed that and it all worked pretty well, no freezes or problems with the battery or whatsoever.
And while i was on that M1-build, i was playing around a bit too much i guess, because i just deleted the battery stats in the CWM while the phone had about 40% of battery or so.
And then it happened in the following days: when i was at about thirty percent of battery, the screen froze and i had to pull the battery in order to reboot. after that the battery level dropped to like less than 10%! and sometimes the percentage would even increase for some hours and then drop normally afterwards.
After i tried several ways of calibrating the battery with no success of solving that problematic behaviour, i flashed the original stock rom with the nexus toolkit.
On stock rom, i had no such issues and tried to flash it once more with the allegedly stable SlimRom. and it seemed to be working, but yesterday and today too, i experienced that screen freeze once more with an immense battery drop all of a sudden.
I'm seriously annoyed with all this and i would love to be able to solve this problem. I regret deleting the battery stats in the CWM, but i just can't believe that this is the reason for all this...
Thanks a million in advance!
Maybe someone lives in Berlin/Germany who could help me out with this?
As far as I know, those battery drop happens on any rom when a screen freeze occurs . Although I seldom have screen freezes, once in a while it happens to me also, that sudden drop in battery percentage . Especially when trying out new rom-kernel combo's.

So you mean, that happens because of not so stable roms rather than bad battery calibration?
I mostly noticed such a freeze when i wanted to launch Google Now through sliding upwards from the homebutton while i was using another app
it's just so weird...
would you suggest to just wait for the stable cm10.1 release?

Having weird battery Problems

I recently traded for a rooted HTC one.
I'm pretty average with knowledge root and flashing
I have a problem when I flash a Rom my battery drops rapidly. If I reboot my phone I will go from 60% to 45& out of nowhere.
I used battery calibration when I flashed but I'm still having problems. Any suggestions?

Battery calibration is a myth for starters. If you're dropping that much there is a good chance you could have a bad battery which is why the guy wanted to trade in the first place. To find out for sure. Flash the stock Rom and run it for a few days. Charge it to 100% and see if between reboots it drops large amounts. If it does then the battery is probably bad. The thunderbolt would do this when the battery started to die.

If it is a bad battery, phone should still be warrantied by htc.

Battery
I had a similar issue. My battery started staying at 100% when charged till reboot then would show correctly after reboot. Then started dropping 15-20% at a time or shutting down with 20% or more. Sent to HTC for repair. 10 days had it back good as new.

S4 Mini battery meter gone crazy

Short story: I bought a S4 Mini GT-I9195 second hand and the battery meter goes up and down like crazy. Thought that flashing Android 4.2.2 will solve this but couldn't do it (auth error in Odin). Rooting seems soo complicated.
Question: Is it possible that the battery meter issue will be fixed if I root/flash a different ROM?
Long story:
I had in the past a device with Android 4.4.2 (Allview brand) and the battery would drop many percentage points in seconds after several hours/days of what seemed to be normal usage. Now, the same happens with S4 Mini, and this made me believe there's a possibility I can make this phone usable by downgrading to KitKat, since I already have a device with 4.2.2 that works great regarding battery readings.
In more details, the issue is that the battery lasts up to one week if I am not touching the phone. The chart (GSam Battery Meter) shows a steady level decrease. When I use the phone however, there comes a moment (ususally around 40%, but not necessarily) when the battery level drops with 1% every 10 seconds.
It can go from 20-30% to 0% in minutes. After I plug the phone, the battery starts charging from 30-40%.
After unplugging at 100%, usually it goes straight away to about 90%.
I have tried already to clear cache, format the battery, so on. I have also tried to flash 4.2.2 with Odin, but it won't take any other ROM then the latest.
If rooting, and risking to brick the thing, wouldn't do anything to solve this issue, I may be better selling as it is, while it is still working at least. Otherwise, I can't use this phone!
Thank you for your help!
I was having same issue. Tried many things (calibrating battery, changing rom and kernel, flashing different stock roms via odin). But none of them solved this issue.
Changed my battery. Bought new battery(Deji). I don't have this issue anymore.

Yes, as umuturunc says, sounds like you need a new battery.

OnePlus 3 battery suddenly dropped to 0% from 50%.

So I am not a heavy user. Usually my phone requires charging once in 1 and a half day. One moment my phone was around 50% charged which some what amused me as I couldn't remember last time I charged my phone.
After half an hour or so, I tried to unlock my phone and was greeted by this ( clicked from Xperia Z2 whose back camera isn't working).
Here is my battery stats.
Any idea what could be wrong? Should I visit the service centre?
are u on oos as i experienced the same on PA rom?

See if the issue persists. Try to slow charge it overnight or leave it on the charger over night just to see if it does help. Even though we reached 100% the phone keeps charging.

Using Freedom OS CE. with franco kernel.
My guess it is caused by franco. But I will wait if it happens again.
i will wait and see if the issue happens again and as i wipe after every charge so corruption of battery stats file is also unlikely and as i happened to us on different setups then it can be firmware related problem from one+(my wild guess). So keep me posted if it happens again and i will do the same.
Sorry for my bad English.
I remember this from my S3 Mini...
The battery was dead. Buying a new battery would fix this

If you have a dead battery this will happen many more times, and yoy won't experience good battery at all.. I bet it is just a one time software error.
