Recents Bug? ParanoidAndroid 4.5-BETA 2 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hello Paranoid Dev
I'm wondering why anyone has not mentioned about a bug in Recents.
If you want clear all recents apps, the (X) button on top right doesn't really working due to Recents Apps overlay.
The App Overlay is causing the button to stay visible in background, If you try to touch (X) button to clear the list, Which ever app is on overlay of that button will Open that App.
Basically to clear all apps from Recents, I have to manually clear one by one.
Here is the Pic link to show the visible bug

Why ask in the Dev thread and then post a new thread? ?
---------- Post added at 12:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:13 PM ----------
Plus your title suggests this IS a rom thread.
---------- Post added at 12:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:15 PM ----------
Yes, please don't start threads with [Rom]... It implied it is a thread containing an actual rom. ?

@mkdroid - I edited your thread's title because you made it the exact same as the Development thread title - that could be pretty misleading. Please refrain from doing that kind of thing in the future. Thank you.
Also, once you post a question in the development thread (assuming that is allowed by that developer) you should be done - no need to open an entire thread about the problem unless you are receiving no answer, or an unsatisfactory one, via the already on-topic thread.
Thanks!

Can't seem to get the camera flash to work. It works well when I use it as a flashlight. If I take a picture with flash on, the phone crashes. So I have to take pictures without flash.

I tried using both AOSP and the Google Camera, then other camera apps with the same flash problem. I then flashed back the stock 4.1.2 Official ROM to try to start all over again. I checked the camera with the stock and the problem occurred again. It seems somewhere along the way with flashing the camera in the phone started to fail. So it might actually be a hardware problem. It's an old phone with a stuffed camera (can still take pictures without flash, but somehow the flashlight app still seems to work). Might just flash back ParanoidAndroid 4.4.4 again, as it seems the problem is of the device itself.

Some users with weak batteries also reported this issue -- I think it may be something to do with how long the flash is. With earlier phones, brown-outs would happen upon LED flashing, so maybe this is a similar problem.
The lengthened flash causes too much current to be pulled from the battery, but since CPU's need more power than earlier phones, the entire device shuts down. As for the flashlight working, I think that it's at a lower brightness (or turned on gradually at the millisecond level). Either way, the symptoms are very similar.

I literally just finished installing. On first impression, the dpi seems to be set a little low, possibly. things are somewhat hard to read.
First boot, I can not get rotation to work...maybe a reboot is in order. I haven't tried the phone apk I posted above yet, but I will & I'll report back. Hopefully it works, then this would be a HUGE step closer to stable enough for daily use!
btw, this requires a gapps pack...just FYI
the phone fix.zip does work and my rotation is good

you have to enable auto rotation in order for it to work properly
yes, thank you...it was enabled. a reboot fixed it. I can't get the phone.apk fix to work for me...did you actually successfully place a call? SMS/MMS don't work for me either. In the notifications, I get an error message "no internet connection" but I'm actually using tethering to type this post right now lol
Just for anyone who's curious....don't change the dpi. it will reset itself to phone mode if you do, and the only way to get it back to tablet mode is to reflash the rom.

Try pulling it up. There should be a refresh button. I had to hit that to get it to work. But then it's just annoying me so I turned it off.

It's OK I've sorted it!!
To fix this issue...
Make sure everything is updated to the latest version including Facebook App (I say that because mine is and it's now fixed)
Open the Facebook app and, via Account -> Log Out
Lock your phone
Swipe the Facebook ticker and you should get the message "You need to be logged in to use this" or something like that
Click log in and allow the Samsung Galaxy app the permissions it requires
Should be fixed!
Please not I'm not a developer, this is my first android phone and I've had it for two days, so I won't be able to answer any technical questions however I figured it would be a Facebook permissions problem and using a bit of trial and error and a bit of common sense I've fixed MY issue. This might not work for YOUR issue.
I hope so though

Camera problem

I have attempted to search for this issue on the XDA forums as well as Google and cannot find a solution/fix to what I am going to address in this post.
In most 4.2.2 ROMs I have flashed (Liquidsmooth, MROM, Vanilla Rootbox, Task650, etc) the same problem has been apparent and I have reason to believe that it is just my phone. When I ever use the camera app and hold the camera so that it is in the landscape position, if I decide to switch the shooting mode from picture to video the image on the camera becomes distraught and is very stretched.
When using the camera on these ROMs I have had past experience with it so I know that the orientation mode of the phone shouldn't have an effect on the camera not being able to switch from portrait to landscape view. Anyways, this problem has been on my phone forever. I've cleanly flashed every ROM every single time I tried switching to a new one in hopes of getting rid of this bug/glitch.
If anyone knows what the answer to this is... please help. Thanks!
Have you tried flashing another camera? There's a recovery flashable 4.2 camera in the themes and apps section I believe. This might help narrow your issue
I will try this and report back to you.

By doing a clean flash, I went through the process of (in this order):
- Wiping data
- Wiping cache
- Wiping dalvik cache
- Format /system
Yes, I flashed a new camera apk and the problem still is here. One ROM I did not have this issue with was MROM, but I switched from that ROM to others due to poor battery life and other unresolved issues.
Well, you're doing everything right. I'm using AOKP's 4.2.2 and do not have this issue.

Do you have an idea of what I mean, though, by this camera issue? It basically is stretched/distorted when trying to take pictures in landscape view.
This problem is still occurring, btw. I have reverted to stock (where this problem is fine; whether I am in auto-rotate or fixed orientation the camera changes based on position of phone). I then just moved to a ROM (CM Nightly) and the problem's back

The first one is the camera, normal. The second one is me trying to take a video. It's stretched

could someone tell me what system app this is?

when you plug in your G4 to charge it, a screen comes on with a photo of some wave of liquid and bubbles to graphically simulate your phone being topped up with "fuel" I suppose.
I need to know what exact executable program this is so I can kill off this little ad-infested bastard which accomplishes nothing useful.
gracias!

What your seeing is the "Boostcharge" feature within the Clean Master application. You can delete the app or disable the feature by tapping the menu button in the top right and clicking settings. This screen only shows when the phone is being charged. Let me know.

I do not have the "Clean Master" application, never had it - I don't use that kind of trash.
I am starting to suspect Go keyboard for this malware. though.
Thats interesting. I have bought and used Go Keyboard and never had any issues. I stopped using it only cause of how it works. I have Clean Master running on a different phone right now with the Boostcharge enabled. I have pics but do not know how to post them yet...

How to downgrade to the old version:
Go to Settings > Apps, find Camera, disable/uninstall updates, then enable it.
Download last version from : apkmirror version 3.0.37
Install like a normal app, and you are good to go.
Portrait doesn't work. Is there a oneplus 6t apk for the stock camera?
Yes, also on apkmirror. Look for any version older than 3.2.91. OR go into Settings/Apps, find Camera, disable/uninstall updates, then enable it.
"Long Press on Viewport to open Google Lens"
Where more exactly? I tried on the camera view, but in locks the AF.
looks like I might need oneplus camera service apk as well since I'm on LOS...

Can s.o who installed the app have a look at how the app is recording videos?
Does it still record AVC)h.264 like the 6t app or HEVC/h.265 (like you would expect from such a phone)?
