Hello.
I have a Note 10.1 2014 that I bought in May of this year. The tablet had been working well until yesterday, when I experienced intermittent horizontal lines for about an hour. I rebooted the tablet, and since that time, I have not experienced the issue again.
Please see link below for a photo of the issue.
Has any other forum member experienced this? Would this possibly be a defect? It had been working without issue for about 3 months.
I appreciate any input that the forum members can provide. Thank you.

Thanks. Not sure if I should send it as a precautionary measure under warranty.

Ok so I've had my white galaxy s II for about 3 days. Before I rooted the phone I was experiencing my phone randomly freezing up. I thought it was just a software issue but now that I have rooted it, I'm still experiencing the same issue, but its seems to be worse. I was wondering if anybody else was having this issue and if so how did you fix it.

Anyone else's verizon gn just shut down on its own?
I was in the middle of typing a text, i have a feeling Verizon may have forced a shutdown or reboot from their end...
Its impossible for Verizon to do that. Either your battery died or you had a kernel panic.

Mines done that a few times, but it was on my pocket not being used. When I went to use it, it was turned off.

Hey XDA Fam bam!
I have the T-mobile branded Note II and i'm experiencing the following problem:
Very weak signal.
Here's a little background. I rooted the phone and installed pmtr3 first V1 Rom and everything was perfect.
Then played around with other roms too and then the signal went every weak.
Then when I went back to pmtr3's first rom my signal did not improve. I would lose connection
everywhere. I replaced my tmo sim card, but I still experience this problem. I also went back to my stock nandroid backup, but it still did not help my signal problem.
Is there some sort of radio or modem I can flash? Am I the only one experiencing this problem?
I'm thinking it can be a hardware problem, but Idk. What input do you have my XDA fam bam?

Xda users are probably the reason for most handset returns....period. user error

That may be the case for most, but not this time. I received my replacement and did the exact same thing to it. Turns out the original was a defective device. I'm enjoying my replacement Note II now

Most problems FROM xda members devices are caused by user error. E.G. wrong roms. Not reading before doing stuff and trying to do too much. Its all over the forums. Maybe you havent read the same forum im talking about. Im talking about xda developers.
P.s. please no more pm's you are killing me. I try to read them but I just cant make it through some of them. I have to delete them.

Uh oh, well just in case, I saved them here:
http://pastebin.com/eUBHLqNY if anyone else is interested.
Well I waited in line for an hour at my tmo store and got a new sim card as they claimed that would solve the data issue. But I also made them process an exchange. So I should have my new one tuesday. No more rooting until the problems solved.

I've sent my Galaxy Nexus off for screen replacement twice now - both times, the Samsung UK repair centre in Norwich has said there is no fault found.
It's really not that hard to miss - I have a large area of different colours where the navigation bar lives compared to the rest of the screen. It makes landscape video watching quote annoying.
Has anyone else had problems getting out replaced? Mine was just 11 months old when I first sent it off, back in March. This time around, it was marked as repaired and awaiting delivery on the 10th April - I called today to find out what's happening with it, only to be told it was still on the premises.
Not really the service standards I'd hoped for - the handset was over £500 when I got it.

burn in is normal. this has been beaten into the ground already.
use the search.
I know it happens, though I'd hoped using the pentile display would've eliminated the problems they had with the Galaxy S and S2. My question was has anyone else had issues getting the display swapped when under a year old?
I think at this age, it's a premature failure. Am I mistaken?
Thanks,
Rich

How the hell is it getting that bad!?? I've had my phone since Feb 2012 and I have ZERO burnin.
Are you using the damn thing as a nightlight/desk clock while you sleep at night???! Do NOT leave the screen on for more than 10min MAX with a static output. Be smart about this man.
Lol with how many CLNR's I've gotten they havent had time enough to burn in

No, far from it. Screen is always set to automatic brightness, with 30 second time-out. It's never been left on overnight, used as a sat-nav, or streamed vast amounts of TV or anything like that.
This is why I'm so annoyed - I don't mistreat it. And a phone of this calibre should remain defect-free for longer than 11 months, surely...

This. It happens. I never leave my screen on for more than 2 minutes, unless I'm watching a video, which then the status bar and navbar are hidden.
So it just happens, unfortunately.
Mine doesn't burn-in.but there are two brighter lines than other areas ,at the top and bottom of the screen.

Just got the ATT Galaxy Note 8.0 and have a slight issue with the screen freezing momentarily
while trying to scroll.
About once an hour or so I will try to scroll the screen with my finger and it wont move.
Lifting my finger and placing it back on the screen will get scrolling again. This has happened 3-4 times in the
browser and market so far.
Device is not rooted.
Is this normal ?
I only got the device on 6-24-2013 so I can exchange it if I need to.
Thanks
Same here and I have the latest firmware as well.
Really annoying.

Same here, and yeah, glad to know this is a feature, not an issue
Same problem on the wi-fi model I just purchased. Also glad to know it's not just me lol.
+1, not that this does any good... For me, it doesn't even have to be scrolling. I could be on the launcher and this still happens.

Same for me. My version is the wifi version. I didn't have this problem until the latest firmware update. I started a thread a few days ago.
It is good to know that this is a pervasive issue. I hope it gets fixed quickly.

I exchaged mine out just in case, new one still has the same issue.
Same problem here, although I resolved mine by taking a couple of news app widgets of a home screen. Was having a few redraw problems cured that as well
I assume it's issues with cloud agent or the s-pen detection.

Seems to be just the capacitive input that is freezing. When i use the s,pen it doesn't seem to freeze at all. I tried scrolling with my finger and as soon as it freezes switched to the pen and it worked ok so I think it's the capacitive part of the screen that has the problem.
