Make it short and sweet I need to call Verizon to try and get a replacement.. They're going to ask me some info that's on my about phone screen but I have custom roms and kernels installed..
Could someone with a stock phone please take a screen shot of the about phone screen so I can provide the correct answers when asked

Thanks for trying! If you're using the new xda app it's prolly related to that.. I read somewhere that people are having issues uploading pics

It's not related to the rom.. My mic cuts out like half the other users and we have done plenty of trials to see if it's related to roms kernels 3g 4G... Anything you can think of it's been tested.

If you're so sure it's a hardware issue wouldn't you have to send it back? In which cause they'd notice you've voided the warranty with root and/or custom ROMs?

You realize it's easy to tell whether a phone has been unlocked, right? Potentially, Verizon could see the flag has been set and tell you to go pound salt.
Also, the mic cutting out *COULD* be a software issue. You said it happens to like half the people, but I've never had it happen, and I know 4 people with the phone that have no trouble. That's 0/5, which is less than 1/2.

It's real simple.. I didn't post this to argue with people. If you're willing to help me out then thank you. If not, then shut the hell up.
Look at the topic "microphone cutting out mid call" I never said it's hardware or software. But I do know it's not related to my rom. I've had Verizon replace my phone already for this issue and to be quite honest I'm looking to get a different phone because I'm sick of this one screwing up.
The issue I'm having is totally irrelevant, I just need a screen shot so I don't have to go back to stock 4 days earlier than necessary.

And explain to me how it's stupid? It's just working around the system which I know doesn't work because I've been through it before. If this is my first time doing it then I'd agree with you, but why do I need to return to stock to give some Verizon tech that doesn't even know if my phone has a removable battery or not answers to questions that doesn't matter.

What they're likely going to ask is Android version, baseband, build number, etc. to check if you're updated to 4.0.2 or if something got corrupted or whatnot. It's not like they're going to ask what the kernel version is.
Why don't you guys stop being dicks and just help him. Go troll somewhere else. He obviously doesn't want to sit stock for 3 days. Who would? I'll get my Buddy to send me a picture for you bro. Give me a few

I guess people are just plain dumb here huh. There's a whole thread just on this problem. Root or stock its still there. They won't just let you switch out phones to something else. I am pretty sure they do the whole refurbished thing like 4 times before offering a different phone. I had to do this with my old fascinate.

What do you think about this?
Some users are receiving a special update for resolve lost signal issues... or so they say ...
http://www.htcmania.com/showpost.php?p=4376163&postcount=69
would be nice if it is true
Could be legit, the kernel version is newer, but some people do have too much time on their hands so it could be fake.
Time will tell I guess.
Gonna call bull**** until I hear more about this.
I think it´s real...
I hope its real. My phone doesn't have the sleep bug with signal loss but I noticed twice now that for no reason when the phone is charging, the reception bars go grey and take about five mins to become active again. Might just be an unstable radio even though I'm using XXLA2. Might try out UGLC1 tonight
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
This happens all the time, this is not a "secret update" is a testing build, they have to test solutions in real scenarios with people that is experiencing the problem with controlled results, check the Transformer Prime forums here at XDA and you will see that ASUS contacted users via PM to ask them to test a new build that would fix some issues before release it to general use, Motorola does this also at their support forums and I'm sure a lot of more companies. So, this is just an indicator that google is working on it and in my opinion is that users on which they have trusted should not share it, because that will cause for us no to be trusted again..
That is my opinion
I'd imagine it's legit. I guess we'll find out...

But news flash, its probably not gonna happen today.
No one knows.
But I'll go ahead and take a guess. 7:04 PM
Why wouldn't it happen?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
The better question is why would it? Because a blog said it would? Call 611 and let us know when they say it will drop.
If you want 4.0.4 flash one of the two leaked versions or one of the seventeen ROMs that run on it.

The rep typically has less info available to him/her than various forum members. The fact is that no one knows what day or time it will drop, only that not everyone is going to get it at the same time.

Go to settings, about phone, system updates and check for updates. If you don't receive rinse and repeat the above steps until you do. Good luck.
Verizon Support isn't even using the Galaxy Nexus on the Verizon Network. caught them on Twitter. Look for the convo with Cafe_au_lait522. Don't bother with the OTA unless the radios are improved. Just use AOKP
Not being rude, just curious, but what made you think that people who don't work for Verizon (such as the users here) would know? Just curious about your thought process...

I'm not being rude. No one on XDA or tipping these Android blogs really has any idea of when the update will actually come out.
Its never reasonable to take a Verizon' CS rep's word on an update, they have no idea what's going on. We've seen this same BS over every single update and people need to realize that until you hit "check now" and it starts downloading, the OTA has not pushed out yet.
Chill. Wait. Go outside. The update will come out when it's ready.
It is coming out tonight at 1159 pacific standard time so stay up and wait for it

Your local Verizon store employees know nothing of when updates are supposed to come out. In fact, most of them will tell you just about anything you want to hear to prevent you from giving up the phone and their service, including feeding you a load of bull regarding release dates of patches.
Verizon Wireless does not let their retail store employees know of any upcoming products, patches, and/or fixes.

You don't ask, you sit on your hands until you are told. Again, there are umpteen versions of 4.0.4 here on this forum so flash one or wait. Think of OTAs as being agnostic: nobody knows and nobody can know if they exist, it's just not reasonable to assume one way or the other.

The key is to be patient. It'll come when it's ready, and not a moment before.

Great find! What's interesting is that Google has been tracking how much you walk since late September. Did you by any chance just get your device/factory reset it then?

Lets hope we get some more details about it soon.
It appears to use latitude to track your location history.

So you guys turn the gps on all time and let it track you?
Doesn't it drain battery?
I think it just works if you have enabled location history, without keeping GPS on.

Hey XDA Fam bam!
I have the T-mobile branded Note II and i'm experiencing the following problem:
Very weak signal.
Here's a little background. I rooted the phone and installed pmtr3 first V1 Rom and everything was perfect.
Then played around with other roms too and then the signal went every weak.
Then when I went back to pmtr3's first rom my signal did not improve. I would lose connection
everywhere. I replaced my tmo sim card, but I still experience this problem. I also went back to my stock nandroid backup, but it still did not help my signal problem.
Is there some sort of radio or modem I can flash? Am I the only one experiencing this problem?
I'm thinking it can be a hardware problem, but Idk. What input do you have my XDA fam bam?
