Thanks for the info, I didn't think it was a defect. I was just saying I noticed it being different.

Other than that, the injection molding mark: you can see it clearly in the picture above on the red case (to the left of the speaker hole). If you've ordered one of our Nexus 5 cases in the past 3 months or so, or any of our S5 and LG G3 Cases, you probably received a case that had a similar mark on the bottom. This is where the plastic gets injected into the mold, afterwords a small mark is left. We used to put it on the bottom or top corner of our cases, or sometimes along the edge of the microUSB hole in an attempt to hide it. The factory recently figured out a new technique to make it a small dot on the bottom of the case instead of the larger and longer mark we had before. It looks a lot better than the old mark on the corner of the case did, but I know no one wants a mark on their case no matter how it looks. I'd love to put it on the inside of the case, but I'm told that isn't an option.

Good job on it @OneStepAhead
Is the case grippy or does it slide around in your hand?

It kind of slides in my opinion, but then again of course it will since we're so used to the Sandstone being so grippy. But I don't really ever have the idea of my phone sliding out of my hand when using the Diztronic TPU. I'm really bad at explaining these kind of things but I hope that helps.
I don't have any issues with it.

This looks pretty similar to something that I believe Otterbox will end up looking like. Personally, I think the flap over the camera is laughable but if you want true protection it comes with a price.
Picked one of these up. LOL! Why? I work in a very dirty environment that would subject my phone to a lot of fine particulates and water. Plus a 2-year old that loves to play with phones.
It is next to impossible for me to get the kickstand out with this case. I need long fingernails to reach the stand with this one.
Anyone else have one of these?
I have this case and i think it's great that you can add the extra protection when it's needed, and then just remove it when you don't.
Can the flap for the camera be permanently removed?
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
I just got mine in the mail about 2 days ago. i have no flap. i did also buy this from amazon. Maybe mine is older or new i don't no. i would post the link from where i bought it but im still a newb.
all in all i love the case and the belt clip. great product

You could have to rip the rubber off the pivot piece for the camera cover. Then you could make it removable. It's the only option I know of.

that hole next to the camera, yea the bump on the flap is placed there to hold it back.
i had this case since i bought my TB but i got it from Best Buy n it was called Platinum. its a really good case. i would really recommend this
same I got the platinum series TB case from best buy. 34.99
its sleaker then the one posted though and looks better IMO.
The holes in the back for the cam and LED are 2 different accurate cut outs instead of one. looks better but it dies not have the flap/cover
Its the same case. The convert just has two extra layers and isn't rebranded.
I wanted a dark-blue navy colored case that was full-fitting. As in, no loss of protection to any corner/edge of the phone.
This case was the closest I could find to what I wanted, so at $15 shipped in the USA, I went ahead and picked it up.
I'm not crazy about this case. But it's not bad either. Pretty good for $15 shipped I guess.
Here are some plus's & minuses.
1) It's kind of slick feeling. Like it could easily slip through my fingers. Not the worst ever, but definitely one of the slippery feeling cases I've used.
2) It always feels "dusty" even when it's clean?
3) #2 is probably because it has a "silky soft" feel to it. I'm probably just not used to the way that feels. It does not feel like any TPU case I've ever used before. It does not feel overly rubbery but instead, almost "cloth-like".
4) It's a perfect fitting case. VERY easy to put on and remove. So easy in fact, that you think the phone might fall out. But once the case is on, it feels like it fits perfectly. The case does not wiggle around like some cases I've had before.
5) The cutouts are all very good.
6) The USB cutout is large enough to allow all of my microUSB connectors to flush fit the phone when connected.
7) The blue color has a barely perceptible PURPLE tinge to it. Even though it's mostly blue. Kinda like the phone itself.
8) It has not gotten any scratches in the few days I've used it so far.
9) There is a huge blemish above the volume rocker. I've circled it in the pic below.
VOLUME BUTTON WITH BLEMISH ABOVE IT. Blemish is circled in red.

It's for the version with a tv aerial. This is what always stopped me buying one of these, can never know until it arrives if a version without the hole exists.

Probably for the Korean market. They have DMB which requires an antennae to watch TV.
If this is designed for the korean market S3... its gotta be slightly loose, as the S3 with the TV antenna is slightly thicker
I've been a huge fan of this product for years ---> http://www.plastidip.com/
It's basically a spray on rubberized coating that is also 100% REMOVABLE!
I have been using it on trim pieces and rims on my car for years.
Out of sheer boredom, I decided I would try the product on my Moto G battery cover.
Turned out great!!
On my last coat, I got near the bottom of the can (was using left overs), so a couple of bubbles appeared.
But this was just a proof of concept, spur of the moment situation.
Next time I am going to use a fresh can, and maybe a different colour.
Anyway, here are my results!
Tell me what you think!

Here are some pics of me removing the coating. Peels off easily. Leaves no marks.
Looks nice! But maybe a bit too ruggy, not for the bubbles, on the rest too. But I guess that happens with any spray painting Unluckily. Anyway, looks nice to me

Thanks. The thing is that it's not paint. It's fully removable and leaves no trace. This was just a rush job with some almost empty left over cans. Just wanted to see how well it would sick. Going for a different color and better quality next time

One phone ago I sprayed my Nexus S's battery cover with clear Plasti-Dip and it did not hold well at the edges, and would start peeling away rather quickly.
Please keep us posted, and if it does work, maybe some tips on application or something?

I am waiting for the nect color..
Anyway thanks.
Verizon store gave me the dot view case and really want to use it daily especially if mods are coming out but how the u use this thing? I can't figure out a one handed way to use it say for quick text message or what not.
Is it normal for phone lid to not sit flush? Seems cheaply made as I don't see how this is on purpose?
Any tips on how to use this thing one handed and how to get the lid to stay closed flush? First ever wallet style case to not sit flush, don't understand that.

Looking at your photos I see you have a glass screen protector fitted which is the reason the cover will not close properly. Mine closed perfectly when I got it but now I have fitted a glass protector it is the same as yours so it is not a problem with the case.
You're right. See that now. Would putting rubberbands around it holding it closed tight over night maybe help? Not sure with this rubber strap.

I don't have a screen protector and the device never sat completely flush against the screen. To answer your original question, I couldn't figure out how to use it comfortably when needing to use it. Unless I am traveling I don't use the case.
The only thing that I can set that will help out sit flush is if you use a dremmel to remove some of the material from that corner where it first contacts the gals screen protector. There is excess material there that is causing it not to be able to close

Anyone know of a thin temeprrd glass screen protector with round edges on the sides instead of square? Maybe this will help. Mine is only .3mm thick I believe or less but square edges so raised.
Hi xda dev members! Yesterday when i took a 100m run, i fell off and the watch pop out from my hand. And after that i realise that i no longer can use this watch because the band just cant be 'locked'

I couldn't tell for sure, but it sort of looks maybe like the latch is bent (if not, ignore this). The latch should be almost a 90 angle sticking straight up, maybe angled a hair to the right if sticking straight up and looking from the power button side. Sadly, I couldn't get a clear enough picture at the right angle, but perhaps you could find some to compare. Also try watching some YouTube reviews of the watch that tend to linger on that area. That may be helpful.
If you were having the same issue as me, I fixed it by bending the bottom curved piece more inward. If the two curved pieces don't look right when it's closed, this could be your problem also.
Attached a couple images to try and illustrate this, I think I could even stand to get the curved pieces to line up a little more, but my wristband has a pretty strong latch going so I'm happy as is.
I have the same problem .. did you solve by bending the piece. I could not solve

I tried this now and it seemed to work! Thank you so much for your solution!
Worked for me too
I actually bought a rubbishy eBay strap as I couldn't fix my old one, that strap snapped then I found this thread, bent the clasp as shown in the picture and my original strap is perfect again! Thank you so much for this tip!
