REVIEW: Elago G5 Flex Case for Galaxy S3 - Galaxy S III Accessories

I wanted a dark-blue navy colored case that was full-fitting. As in, no loss of protection to any corner/edge of the phone.
This case was the closest I could find to what I wanted, so at $15 shipped in the USA, I went ahead and picked it up.
I'm not crazy about this case. But it's not bad either. Pretty good for $15 shipped I guess.
Here are some plus's & minuses.
1) It's kind of slick feeling. Like it could easily slip through my fingers. Not the worst ever, but definitely one of the slippery feeling cases I've used.
2) It always feels "dusty" even when it's clean?
3) #2 is probably because it has a "silky soft" feel to it. I'm probably just not used to the way that feels. It does not feel like any TPU case I've ever used before. It does not feel overly rubbery but instead, almost "cloth-like".
4) It's a perfect fitting case. VERY easy to put on and remove. So easy in fact, that you think the phone might fall out. But once the case is on, it feels like it fits perfectly. The case does not wiggle around like some cases I've had before.
5) The cutouts are all very good.
6) The USB cutout is large enough to allow all of my microUSB connectors to flush fit the phone when connected.
7) The blue color has a barely perceptible PURPLE tinge to it. Even though it's mostly blue. Kinda like the phone itself.
8) It has not gotten any scratches in the few days I've used it so far.
9) There is a huge blemish above the volume rocker. I've circled it in the pic below.
VOLUME BUTTON WITH BLEMISH ABOVE IT. Blemish is circled in red.

Why is there a big hole by the upper right corner?

It's for the version with a tv aerial. This is what always stopped me buying one of these, can never know until it arrives if a version without the hole exists.

Are these only found on the International variants?

Probably for the Korean market. They have DMB which requires an antennae to watch TV.

If this is designed for the korean market S3... its gotta be slightly loose, as the S3 with the TV antenna is slightly thicker

I purchased the Silver Metallic "Barely There Case" last week. Shipping was great - arrived in one piece.
The first thing I noticed is the color. The picture shown is nothing like the color you get. I personally am actually okay with that. The color you get is more of a black chrome finish. It's shiny/glossy but NOT a chrome like finish as the pictures would suggest.
Here are some pictures. (Pictures of case ON phone were taken with Droid Charge the ones off the phone were with the Thunderbolt)
The overall fit of the case is great. The case fits all the curves of the phone. The problem I've noticed is the left side of the case "bows" out. Maybe this is a simple defect, who knows. Regardless. If you hold it from both sides you can feel it move which also causes it to make a very slight, yet annoying noise.
Overall, it seems like a decent case. Not sure if I'd recommend it at this point however.
Sorry if this isn't that helpful as I can't say I've ever done a case review before. I will admit I am a complete case whore though. I hope vajacases makes a Thunderbolt case!

I just ordered one of these off ebay in black. I hope it's not bowed, so that the phone doesn't move around inside the case. That would definitely annoy me.
Well let me clarify... The phone doesn't move around in the case. The case itself just isn't a tight enough fit so you can actual feel the case change shape.

I've got the black one at work, don't remember it moving around in the case, or it being loose, but I'll try to remember to check it tomorrow and report back.
thats pimpin'

I noticed that when the Barely There case was on, the fit wasn't perfect around the volume buttons, and it did make a tiny bit of a noise when it was gripped around that area.
I grabbed a black one and love it. Sure, it doesn't provide full protection that some cases do, but the 'barely there' name is totally legit. I can't stand cases and I barely notice this one. Case is pretty good but the seam was coming apart on one corner, emailed Case-Mate and they are sending me out a new one. Great customer support! I would recommend this case to anyone who is looking for a little extra protection without making an already large phone, giant... Check out the pics I tried to show just how thin it really is. Oh and ignore all that lint...

Mini [REVIEW] Hybrid TPU - Pics

So I got this from Amazon seller LowerPriceUSA.
Total....under $6 shipped
Overall really nice feel for the little amount I paid. The clear back is hard shell...while the sides are softer TPU material.
Button are easy to push without much effort. All ports aligned very well. The charger port plug works nicely without any issues.
The case has a slight "ridge" that protects the screen from touching the surface if you flip it over face down.
Barely adds any bulk...still sleek and slim...gives a nice non-slip grip too.
I would recommended this case to anyone for a inexpensive alternative. I know I'll be getting a different style case later on for Christmas too...so I'll let you know how that one goes.
Here are some crappy pics from my older iPhone 3GS

i've seen a lot of those on ebay
looks good
i'd have gone with a blue, or red, or yellow, or orange, or purple version
I have the purple one & while it LOOKS good, power button operation sucks. It's hard to find by feel & even then you have to press hard.
Mine take very little effort to find or push. I'm digging it so far.

Same problem with me, bought the red one, looked really good on but the power button was a pain in the butt to try and push. And way too hard to "find". Thought I would get used to it but ended up taking it off after a week or two.

This case was reviewed when the phone was 1st released.........
People with problems pressing the buttons, get an exacto and cut on both side of the buttons so it depresses easier.
I've been using this case since Day 3 of owning the T989, and I can say it has served me well, and as hard as I've tried to overlook the difficulty of locating the buttons (friends can never find them) and actually pressing them, I've decided to switch to a Diztronic case that should be coming in any day now
Have you guys used this case with a screen protector? Does it pull it up at all?
I am thinking about getting this case:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005OLZ26C/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A3V68UDPGK256K
Which looks like yours but seems to have the cutouts for power/volume buttons.

Found an Otterbox Case that fits Epic Touch 4G

Just wanted to share some info with you all. I was messing around at Best Buy and found an Otterbox case that fits our phone. It's the Otterbox Defender case for the Samsung Infuse 4g. Everything matched up, except I did have to trim the case for the volume down button. I had to file it down just a little. The camera hole on the back stops just below the flash button, but camera and flash work just fine. Here are some pics.

Looks good....I swung by AT&T and got one for the Skyrocket (or whatever they call it), and it matches up pretty well too. The case is tight so I had to do some minimal trimming to the power button area, but everything works as intended.
hey thats a lot like the hard case I got on ebay but that one does not intrude on the soft keys at the bottom as much as mine.
did they have it in other colors? like bright colors blue or orange?

No, I only seen the black ones. I looked on the Otterbox website and only seen black ones there as well. I just see a lot of people asking about Otterbox, so I thought I would share my findings.

Do you have the Skyrocket or the E4GT? I ask because my wifes Skyrocket has the speaker on the right, the E4GT on the left. If you use the Skyrocket case on the E4GT then you're covering up the speaker.
This has me thinking if other Infuse cases/covers can be used & whether the price is cheaper & if they have a larger selection to chose from. If the price is the same or more then I'm better off just getting one specifically for the E4GT.

Yes, I made the Ballistic HC case for the Infuse work on my E4GT with a little modification.

I did find one more thing on the Otterbox that didn't match up. The notification light on the front has no hole there. I'm going to fix it with one more modification with a drill bit, but thought I would let you all know.

hybrid silicone series

has anybody bought 1 of these cases,
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-STYLI...uches&var=&hash=item43b164c2b3#ht_6034wt_1397
i really like the look of the red 1 but it looks like i would struggle to plug the charger in
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008JGLU4W
For the us folks.
I have this case. I use it out of all the cases ive bought. The charger port is too small for the cable came with the phone. But you can stretch the silicone then put it in and it fits. The case is great quality so it will not break easily. Though I bought a new cable that fits better, but it raises the the silicone a little. Its not bad at all though. The buttons feedback is great, i can press them easily. This case is good looking, i just love it.

i bought the hybrid case and have found a couple of things i dont like about it.
1. the charger doesnt fit through the case, i have to pull the bottom lip of the case down.
2. the build quality is really bad, and i can see roughly cut edges all the way round the screen

Other than that, the injection molding mark: you can see it clearly in the picture above on the red case (to the left of the speaker hole). If you've ordered one of our Nexus 5 cases in the past 3 months or so, or any of our S5 and LG G3 Cases, you probably received a case that had a similar mark on the bottom. This is where the plastic gets injected into the mold, afterwords a small mark is left. We used to put it on the bottom or top corner of our cases, or sometimes along the edge of the microUSB hole in an attempt to hide it. The factory recently figured out a new technique to make it a small dot on the bottom of the case instead of the larger and longer mark we had before. It looks a lot better than the old mark on the corner of the case did, but I know no one wants a mark on their case no matter how it looks. I'd love to put it on the inside of the case, but I'm told that isn't an option.

It kind of slides in my opinion, but then again of course it will since we're so used to the Sandstone being so grippy. But I don't really ever have the idea of my phone sliding out of my hand when using the Diztronic TPU. I'm really bad at explaining these kind of things but I hope that helps.
I don't have any issues with it.
