My boyfriend had my Sprint LG G2 phone flashed over to MetroPCS. It's been working fine for a month now, I had someone try to hack into my voicemail and the MetroPCS rep recommended I change my phone #. Once we changed it my phone, being able to dial out/people call me/receive texts, stopped working. WiFi of course still works. I really need help. Oh we tried changing the phone # back but that did not fix it either. Any ideas guys?

Pretty sure a firmware update might have taken away your root. Boot into bootloader and make sure your still s-off?
That error code means you need to re-provision your phone. Call sprint from a different phone and tell them it needs to be re-provisioned and you'll be all set.
thats a tough one. Id hate to see you lose your stuff but have you tried flashing a stock ruu yet?
i run a stock sense rooted with clockwork. im not too familiar with the evo mods as i just got it; coming from a hero.
if it were me, id restore to stock. sorry i cant be of more help...ill keep looking as i have nothing else to do...

sounds perfect.
ive been having hiccups sending messages. perhaps i should call them and have them re-provision.
are you familiar if the provisioning could correct these issues? just curious, im not expecting you to have all the answers so no worries...thanks for the help
yea thats definitely sounds like all you need to do is provision your phone and actually there is probably a tutorial to refresh data somewhere in xda. Also if you are rooted and can get everything sprint can offer you and more right here why would you do an OTA... oh well like everyone has said call Sprint re-provision or look for a thread that shows how to do it but I doubt you need to unroot it..
Dial *2 and you can activate it yourself.
Sent From My HTC Evo 4G On The Now Network From Sprint Using Tapatalk Pro!
From the home screen; menu, settings, updates, update profile. I get a FC when doing *2 because sprintzone is not installed.
Thank you guys for your help, just updating everyone that I did get this problem resolved!! I was getting "Error Code: 67". I called Sprint explained the issue, they had me take my battery out for 2 minutes. After that, Sprint had me power my phone back on and told me when I get to the home screen to enter: "Menu>Settings>System Updates>Update Profile". I asked them why this happened, when I updated my firmware/prl/profile and they replied "Its common on all of these devices and its considered an overload of data which simply crashes the system. If it happens again take your battery out for 2 minutes, power on, then update your profile through System Updates. Having the battery out for 2 minutes will reset your data and allows a smooth profile update(profile update=DATA Updated). They said its not really necessary to update ANY System settings as your provider will issue a notification asking whether you want to do the update when an update is needed because updates don't just come out like every month. Also if you experience your phone is running slow, acting funny, etc. This same method works for that too."
Also they told me sometimes its needed to call the service provider in cases like mine so they can manually disable incoming/outgoing data to my phone and wait for ME to ask their network for data permissions VIA "MENU>SETTINGS>SYSTEM UPDATES>UPDATE PROFILE".
Hope this helps anyone having the same issue, please note I did this with a fully rooted HTC Evo running MikFroYo v4.4 Rom

When I was using CM's 6.1 Rom, That same thing happened to me. Im not sure what the reason for this is, but honestly I just flashed to MikFroYo v4.4 a week ago and it is BY FAR the BEST Rom I have used, It's Very fast.. I'd recommend switching to that and updating the radio's by simply wiping data and flashing the zip in recovery. No issues on his rom... I know its not because you dont have "Sprintzone" Installed because I dont have that nor any sprint apps on mine and have no problems with FC on system updates.
I'm having the same issue. I'm running CM7 and I called Sprint to help with the re-provisioning. I was following along until she had me enter the ##3282# code. She was expecting something to pop up so I could enter a code she gave me. Well, nothing popped up... It is obvious to me that CM7, and probably most non-Sprint ROMs, don't follow the same menu paths as Sprint does. I'm sure there is a way to go through the procedure Sprint was trying to perform with me, but it's not obvious what it is.
I'm sure someone can tell me what that procedure is... Anybody???
Thank you to everyone who tries to help,
Mike
Flash a Sense rom. Nandroid your CM first. Then the codes will work.
Thanks! This is working for me so far...

Thanks for the info! I followed your instructions, and data seems to be working nicely again. I'm running nearly the exact same package you mentioned, except my PRL version is 60680. Good lookin' out!
Possible fix I had same issue
ALl you have to do is update your profile from your phone usually using stock rom
My son and I rooted his Verizon LG G2 with ioroot and then wanted to install Paranoid Android to be able to get LTE on the T-Mobile network. FreeGee verified that the phone is rooted. We then tried to backup his efs's but got an error message saying that the it wasn't compatible with the software (even though it is supposed to work on his phone). This leaves us not knowing where to turn next. We can't do anything without backing up the imei first.
Please help!
Information on his phone:
Verizon LG G2 4G
VS980
Hardware version: RVE 1.0
Android 4.4.2
Software Version: VS98-24A
TIA!!!
This question would be better in your device forum as it has nothing to do with paranoid android and we don't actually support your device directly. Your device is maintained by the legacy team. The device specific forum would be the quickest way to get an answer to your issue.

I just bought a rooted galaxy s3 on virgin mobile, but now that its rooted I can nt activate it on the virgin website, it well accept the esn then but I can't update the profile or the phone # as well as the min # (voicemail #). I am unable to get into the programming since its rooted the only code that works is *#06# for the esn #. Please take into account I've never rooted a phone before thats why I bought one already done, im hoping someone out there can help me without having to go back to factory I have attached a picture below of my phones software if that helps.
I thank you all in advance
Sir,

Your problem is not that it out rooted, it's that it is running CyanogenMOD. Thus the dialer codes do not work, nor does it have a prl/profile update option. One easy fix since you have a custom ROM, which also means you have a custom recovery, is to flash a TouchWiz ROM such as WickedS5 or WickedX or even stock (rooted) to gain your dialer codes and prl/profile update options. Backup in your custom recovery to your external SD card, wipe, flash TouchWiz ROM. Once your activated just restore your backup of CyanogenMOD

I had a similar issue when I tried to flash Dirty Unicorns over CM11 and subsequently bricked my Virgin S3. I had to flash it to a Boost mobile stock ROM then to Sprint before it would regain signal.

Hi, my eBay UK purchased reconditioned D855 did an LG software update last night for "Google optimisations" and it installed, I believe, the v20i-aug-26-2015 update.
My phone says it's now running V20n-TUR-XX.
Hardware info
Model: LG-D855TR
Android version: 5.0
Baseband: MPSS.DI.2.0.1.c1.13.2-00002-M8974AAAAANPZM-1
Kernel 3.4.0
Build number LRX21R.A1445947622
Software version V20n-TUR-XX
Network: Three
Everything worked perfectly before the LG update, now it can't see to any cellular data network (I have the signal strength meter showing but no data icons at all) and it was working perfectly before the update.
It works fine on wifi.
I've factory reset and checked everything I could - it's still not seeing the cellular data network. I've manually selected three and let it do it automatically but still no joy. Data is enabled.
LG can't find the IMEI on their system which means it's a foreign or international version I guess and, despite the fact I'm 99.9% sure their update has screwed my phone, they won't take it back to fix it.
What are my options do you think, re-flashing? If I have to then I'd rather go to a stock LG rom or, if possible, a vanilla Android ROM. What do you think, and what flash options do you think I should go for if I have to flash? Fairly n00b when it comes to doing that.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
Solved, but don't know how to delete.
Hello people finally got back to HTC , long wait from HTC ONE MAX to the M9, so I'm running on cricket- data throttle sucks . But only issue I'm having so far is no VVM , running current OS 6.0 att ruu. Stock no root no soff. Yet... stock art vvm not working , Dow loaded cricket Vvm , still not working , it's trying to sync , text comes comes back as status but fails to provision need some help guys thanks
Cricket vvm does not work with stock roms sadly, att vvm is tightly coupled into the rom and it breaks alot if you remove it. Your only option for vvm is a 3rd party rom without the att crap that you have.
How about getting att vvm working with cricket , or native 6.0 marshmallow vvm
Cricket says it's not going to work since not cricket phone
Thinking of going to go phone
Problem solved after root and Rom flash , man things sure did change from M7- M9. Bootloader is different, then I ran in to the no Sim firmware issue, flashlling the firm ware took a few hours to figure out, then after thinking everything was good to go , get in the road figure let me try the 10 port, twrp is gone
