[Q] Way to get teamviewer quicksupport to work? - T-Mobile LG G3

Is there a way to get remote control to work without root?
I think file transfer / chat works.
personally, I don't mind but sometimes my parents need help and it worked great on Galaxy S3 and I would like to use it on G3 without root.

[Q] ARLiberator/AllShare Cast and my S3...

I rooted my S3 so I could use ARLiberator with the AppRadio2. I am using the AllShare Cast dongle with the AppRadio to make it all work wirelessly. After I rooted my phone, the AllShare Cast option in my settings was gone. So, (keep in mind I'm a noob) when I got the notice my phone was due for an Over the Air update, I did it. Good news, it didn't brick my phone and I got AllShare Cast back. Bad news, it took my root away.
So, I need to know where I can find a 100% stock image that just injects root that I can do via Odin. The only reason I have to root right now is to get this working with AppRadio. In the future I may get more crazy with other ROMs, but right now I just want this to work.
Can someone point me to a safe tar file that is the root for a stock image on the AT&T SGS-i747 that is the most current?
Thanks.
AND, if there's anything else I need to know, please inform away! The root I did last time didn't add to my counter, so I'm kinda hoping that any new root I do won't either. If it does, I guess that is okay as long as the triangle app I've read about can fix it.
Again, thanks for any and all input. I'm learning as fast as I can.

Take a look here, look for the stock image with root injected into it. I am also using Allshare Cast with Arliberator - how is it working out for you? I have some issues where my subwoofer will turn off sometimes, but if I press the menu button on the Appradio to launch voice commands, then click back, the subwoofer will turn on. Weird...
I've been eyeballing this setup. Do either of you have Tasker? I'm wondering if it can be setup so that I don't even have to take my phone out of my pocket. Do you have to manually press a button on the Allshare dongle every time you get in the car or will it connect automatically after the initial setup?
Thanks,
Bodie
As long as arliberator is running on the phone, it should connect automatically. MOST of the time. I've changed to the wired setup using the Samsung mhl adapter. I never got the sound quality to be good using the all share cast dongle. Since I really wanted to run Pandora, sirius xm and other music apps from my phone, this was really a bust for me. I also went through the counterfeit dongle issues. I bought one on Amazon and got all the snow issues I've read other people had. I went to Samsung's website and bought it directly through them, and I've had no problems since. I've been running it a week with that setup and have had no issues. It just works like it should. I had connection issues with all share cast With it stopping at random. I'm very hopeful that all my trial and error is over.

[Q] SideSync and debloating / custom kernel

hello everyone
I bought a gtab pro 8.4 and first thing to do was to root, install a proper recovery and of course a custom kernel. After that I debloated my stock rom but I deleted nothing I would call important.
this is my first upper class samsung device since years (I own a galaxy nexus) and I have a question that may some of you could answer:
Does SideSync:
- need KNOX to work?
- depend on other preinstalled apps?
- not work if binary counter for custom roms or kernel is increased?
I can't get it to work, neither with USB nor over Wifi...
Thank you all
edit: or is sidesync on our tabs only to control the mobile phone and not to be controlled by a computer?
I have a GTP 8.4 and an S4 phone. I have SideSync 3.0 setup with them paired.
1) I believe SideSync is only between phone and tablet - no PC involved or supported.
2) After playing with it for 30 minutes or so, SideSync looks completely useless to me.
- SideSync will only connect the devices when they are both on the same WiFi network. So, if you're out and about, you can use it. If you're using your phone as a hotspot and the tablet connected to the Internet via the hotspot, you also can't use SideSync.
- There is a free app for Verizon customers called Verizon Messages, which I already have on my tablet, It gives me full SMS/MMS mirroring between my phone and tablet - without having to pair the devices.
- Leaving SideSync running all the time is a battery hog, so you wouldn't want to do that. So, when you DO want to use it, you have to start it on both devices. Well, if I'm going to pick up my phone to start SideSync, just to control it with my tablet, what's the point? I can just do whatever I need to do on my phone when I pick it up.
- Being able to place/receive calls using my tablet, with it actually going through the phone might be cool sometimes, but, as I said, if I have to grab my phone and start SideSync first, I'm probably just going to make the call using the phone. Alternatively, I'd try to figure out a way to pair my tab to the phone using Bluetooth and use the tablet as a handsfree device instead, leaving SideSync out of it.
If anyone can tell me something useful about SideSync, I'd love to hear it. I may have tried it and totally missed some cool use case.
any ideas why I can hear caller but caller cant hear me??

[Q] Teamviewer and AFTV

Good Day, first post, happy I found you guys and gals. I was curious to know if any of you have been successful with utilizing Teamviewer with your Fire TV. At this point and time, there is no root and I am under the assumption that this is impossible without root. Can anyone confirm this for me? Or, show me the light. I am able to side load team viewer and connect, I just can't get past the team viewer dashboard on the remote end. Thank you so much and I will be posting here more often.

You can sideload teamviewer. Its called quicksupport on google play. Get the Apk and install it. You can connect to it remotely but won't be able to get remote view of the screen without root. When someone requests remote view access, you will be prompted to grant root access if you have root and it then works flawlessly. You should still try it and see as I haven't checked this on non rooted devices.

Assist a noob? (Remote play, root (possibly))

Hey team,
Ive just joined this site in the hope of getting some assistance. I have a Z1 Compact, android v5.0.2 and I'm hoping someone can help me.
Im trying to get my device to work with Ps4 Remote Play - I realise its not one of the sony supported devices (I bought it too soon sadly). I have managed to get the remote play app itself working, I can stream my ps4 fine and it works with the on screen controls. However Im looking to take advantage of the DS4 controller. I can sync the controller with my phone, and most of the buttons work fine, but the analog joysticks don't really respond. Now through my research it would seem I need an additional app called sixaxis controller because my phone isnt strictly speaking one of the official devices for remote play.
This leads me to my question... is there any other way around this to get the DS4 controller working? If not... the sixaxis app requires that I root my phone. I have not done this... never done this... am a bit cautious bacause a google search renders 100's of different ways to do this..
Could someone please talk me through an easy, safe way to back up my phone so I do not lose any apps/images/contacts etc. and then root the phone. Im not trying to achieve anything fancy, just enable remote play. Also - ideally I would like the option of unrooting too incase I decide to go back.
Any help would be so so appreciated! Im not the most tech savvy person so easy methods would be great if there is such a thing. Thanks in advance!

Teamviewer Host

Anyone have any luck using Teamviewer Host? When I install the app and login into my account, it appears to be connected to the Teamviewer servers and says its ready for connections. But on the Teamviewer remote console, it shows the N7 online, it just doesn't allow me to actually begin a session like it does with my other devices.
Anyone have any luck with this?
Running rooted stock 5.1.1 with Timur Kernel for fixed installation (in-car). I don't believe the Kernel is affecting the connection, I don't think it interferes with much besides power and sleep. I think it might be a Teamviewer issue with Asus devices, but want to know if anyone has any work-arounds or hints on making it work.
Nope, doesn't work for me either with Bad Boyz Nexus 7 Stock Rooted 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Appears to connect like you say but the Remote Control tab says "Initializing Display Parameters" before it gives up after a few minutes.
Shame, it's a really handy tool.

Same for me. Running Nexus 5 rooted stock. Could be a root issue? Lots of negative comments from XDA (mostly rooted im guessing). Interestingly it asks me for root access when I try to connect.
Did you guys figure this out? I'm having the same issue on my Nexus 5 (rooted)
