SM-T705: I want to stay on stock but have root... So after rooting with CF-Autoroot.
I want a backup of my device. Do we only have TWRP ... no CWM backup available so far ?

When you change from stock to the first custom ROM, you 'usually' do a nandroid backup before patching the ROM.
If you decide to restore that stock backup, will you lose root on your phone?
I am currently rooted and on stock recovery and rom. My question is if I so a nandroid backup and flash a custom Rom with Twrp/cwm and have to do a restore, will I need to re do the rooting process or is there a flashable zip to flash SU app and binaries to maintain root?
Custom roms usually come prerooted. Have a backup just in case. You will not have to re root with Odin.

Hey guys!
I rooted my Note 2 using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2618261
As stated in the thread I have my KNOX intact...
Is it possible for me to flash a custom recovery after rooting with this method? Can I use ODIN to flash a custom recovery for my phone? It´s a N7105.
I actually don´t care about warranty, KNOX and so on anymore... I just want the possibility to flash my mods instead of pushing them manually with root explorer... also to make a Nandroid backup the classic way

Yes you can flash a custom recovery via Odin. I prefer PhilZ Touch http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028103
Once my device has been rooted and I installed any custom rom and need to go back to stock for future OTA .
I have a Nandroid backup done with TWRP
Could I restore my Nandroid backup and flash stock recovery and I'm all set for any future OTA ?
Hello community,
I wanted to download the new lollipop update, but the OTA fails. The reason is: I unlocked the bootloader (without root).
What is the fastest way to update to 5.1? Is there any way, keeping my data?
If not, what is the best way to backup these data?
Thanks for your response!
Do you have root and a custom recovery? Then you flash a pre-rooted ZIP without wiping your data.
You could also do a nandroid backup priop to this in the recovery.
Otherwise, you may want to root your 5.0.2 and then install the custom recovery.
I am not sure if full backups without root are currently possible.
Thanks for your reply. It helped me a lot.
I want to describe my solution shortly:
1. I used this describtion for obtaining root http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...root-init-d-support-recovery-busybox-t3202799
2. I did a backup with CWM
3. I did a dirty flash with this describtion: http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...6-0-368-customized-lollipop-5-t3200948/page11
So i got Recovery + root + 5.1 without loosing data.
