In my contacts I have a contact called spammers for any computer generated phone calls that I received. I usually have that contact go directly to voicemail so it doesn't ring on my phone. Does the LG g3 have that option? I can't find any option to send to voicemail.
Thanks for any help.

Disregard, I found it buried in the menu under phone.

Can you share how you did it? I'm trying to find the setting but I'm unsuccessful at the moment. Thanks!

Only way I've found to do it on the Verizon LG G3 is to add the number as a contact, then with that contact open open settings and there is a "All calls to voice mail" check box.

You need to deactivate GV if you want VZW voicemail back.
Sent from my ADR6350 using XDA App
i had done all of that as stated
*73 was supposed to be the deactivation code for VZ how ever i was only getting an error
the answer for me was
*900 and
*920
i both of those and it worked like a charm. you have to end the call fowarding and those were the only codes that worked
but i thank both of you for your help and suggestions.
I've used Google voice for years, but last week I accidentally set up the AT&T voicemail password and since then I can't get Google voice to take over again.
Would I need to contact AT&T about disabling their voicemail service?

Thanks a bunch! I had the same problem and this fixed it right up.
Alternatively (although not as easy), you can go into the Call settings, Additional settings, and then the Call forwarding settings and set up the Google Voice number there.

I tried your method yesterday but whenever I'd call myself from another number, I'd hear a short message n the call would end... Idk if this is the app, the service or at&t at fault

Is there a way to get the tones for incoming texts to be different from the tones for notifications?
I know in hangouts it can be set differently in the app. It is by default. I had to change it back. Ha

Yes, Open Text and hit Menu/Settings/Notification/Notification sound. You can also change it with a app.

Thank you!
That seems to have done the trick. Cant believe i never checked for a settings tab from within the app itself! Stupid me!

Glad I could help.
Depending on how much time you want to spend you can go into your contact list and choose anyone of them and edit. You can assign a different text tone to everyone.

Howdy,
I just switched to T-Mobile today with a new G3 and ported over from Verizon.
I am having a problem getting the visual voicemail to work. when I try to use it, I get a unable to communicate with server error. This was happening on my wife's LG G3 too, I setup my regular voicemail just fine.
Anyone else having this problem? Or do you think it could be something to do with the porting process (everything seems to have ported fine)
Or any other suggestions (besides resetting my phone, I will try that last, but would like to not have to set up everything again)
Thanks!
Use Google voice way better

How are you using google voice? On my handset, I have it all set up as I should, but the "Voicemail Provider" option within call settings is greyed out, I cannot change that to google voice.

Keyword there is "showing."
It's Google Voice. Call your phone from a different phone to confirm and you should hear your Google Voice greeting.

NP!
You can also call T-Mobile and have them do the following:
--Disable Voicemail on your line
--Setup the forwarding number to be your Google Voice number
You can also setup the forwarding yourself the be the Google Voice number. After doing this, even if I don't install GV after a flash, the calls still go to GV voicemail and whatnot.
Is there an option I'm not seeing? I tried to remove a number but I just deleted the contact and put it back. Anyone know how ?

If your not talking about a lot of numbers in recent list. Too right menu. Click delete there and click on the ones you want to delete
Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
go into the Phone option and on top right by "Create" there is the 3 dots and I had it under there one time... now I'm trying to do it and its not there so maybe check in that area. I have done it though and thats the area I've went to.
long press the record you want to delete. A check box will appear. Then top left press delete
I am pretty sure the method above deletes the contact altogether. I am having the same problem as op.
If your on recent tab it says "Filter By" not "Create".
