When I pair my phone with my mac it says can be used as an audio device... I was hoping to do this so I could make skype calls through my mac but use the phone as a handset. Does anyone know if this is actually possible? when I try to select it as the chosen device on my system preferences it just says the device is not available.
cheers!
I have a bluetooth dongle attached to my PC running Windows
When trying to pair it with my Desire, the PC displays one passcode, the Desire another. As such, I can't get them to pair.
Normally the PC auto selects the code, then the phone asks you to type it in. But here the phone is displaying a message asking if the device displaying the code xxxxx can be connected, so I can't change the code on either device and so cant pair.
Any ideas?
Cheers.

I'm having kind of the same issue, i cant seem to transfer the files/pics/music to another device.......it searches then stops......... can sumone please help? ta
So i bought me a pair of motorola bluetooth headphones, and a bluetooth dongle for my laptop.
I can connect the headphones to my phone just fine, but i cant seem to be able to connect my phone or the headphones to the computer. I can, however, transfer files over bluetooth from phone to pc.

Anyone know whats up? The computer finds the headphones, but when i go to connect to it, it says "detection of service failed".
Hi all,
I have been using a N7100 for nearly a year now, and this is the first time this has happened to me.
I am currently running stock 4.1.2.
When i try and connect any bluetooth device (apart from a bluetooth adaptor for my speakers) to my device, it pairs fine, when i click on the paired device to connect it, it just doesnt do anything.
When i used to click on it, it would say its connecting, and then connect, but now it just says paired, and doesnt do anything.
I have tried connecting it with my HTC 8X, Galaxy S2, and Alienware M17x, and its the same for all of them. but if i try pairing it with my fission (cheap brand) bluetooth adaptor, it says its "connected to media audio". and i can play music thru the external speakers.
But it wont work with any other device.
Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong??.
Does anyone know a fix for this issue?.
I have tried flashing to different versions of stock firmware, but it doesnt help.
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Corey
I would like to connect (not just pair) an extra loud Bluetooth phone ringer (made by Renny) to my rooted desire 530.
(6.0.1 marshmallow, ver. 4.1 bluetooth) that is already paired/connected to a Panasonic "link to cell" cordless phone bank.
The problem is of course that I can only connect one or the other not both at the same time.
Discussions with the Renny tech rep he says his LG will connect as many as you want. The Samsung rep says that only their Galaxy 8 with bluetooth5.0 will do that. My question is there an app for that or a different ROM or kernel update that will do this.
It depends on the capabilities of both devices and the type of service they can provide. At the moment my SmartWatch, my Bluetooth earphones and my pc is connected to my android phone. My Bluetooth earphones are also connected to my pc as the earphones have dual connection capability.

In my short time here I have come to understand that if you see no way to upgrade the phone's software to accomplish this, then it can't be done. But if you do think of some way then by all means let me know. I'm sure the folks that build the ringer would pay well for a patch/app to make their device work right. They have told me that some phones will make multi connections with their ringer and some phones don't and they don't know which ones or why.
