Hi,
I can't start the voice dial via bluetooth headset on my LG G3 (D855 32GB). I testet it with 2 different headsets (Sennheiser EZX60, Nokia BH-105).
Redial works with both headsets.
The app "Bluetooth Voice Dial Widget" works, which simulates a button click from a headset.
Can anyone help me get it working?
Do you have Bluetooth headset checked in the Google search settings > Voice checked?

This option is checked. I also tried Cyberon Voice Commander. After hitting the headset button a dialog should pop up to ask what i want to start (Cyberon or Google Now). This dialog isn't shown.
When i start cyberon or google now manually it doesn't listen on the headset. they use the mic on the phone.
On my Galaxy S3 all these things are working fine.
With the G3 I can answer and stop a call with the headset. redial is also working. but i can not start the voice dial. this feature is really important for me.
I have exactly the same problem. The same bluetooth headset worked fine with an HTC One X, with Google Now opening on bluetooth long press, but on the LG G3 nothing happens, locked or unlocked.
Good to see that i'm not the only one with this problem. i hope we can find a solution.
It would be great to see if other headsets are working. Perhaps ours are just incompatible, which would be really strange.

Sorry to hear this is happening for you. I have a jawbone era and my BT voice dialing works great with cyberon voice commander. What I did was freeze the LG voice command in Tibu. Then, when I clicked the headset, I got the dialogue box popup to choose either google or cyberon. The other thing you could try is to go into settings>app manger and set cyberon as the default app and see if that works.

No the app I froze was voice command 4.20.8; voice mate is still there. Yes; you do need root unless you are able to uninstall through the app manager.

Strange, what variant do you own? It seems i have no voice command installed (not listed in Settings -> Apps -> All or Titanium Backup), but i still do have the strange behaviour of not being able to start any voice "search" app through the headset button. Froze voice mate, but didn't help.

Hi, i can't find this app on my phone. in "settings -> app-manager -> all" there is no voice command. is this app perhaps hidden? is it only visible with root?
i just want to check the existence of the app before rooting my phone. will i need the pro version of tibu to do the freeze?
thanks 4 the help!

To freeze it you will need tibu pro. However, you could always re-name the extension to .bak so you always have it.

Odd, I have the Verizon variant and am using a Jawbone era. I haven't had any problems with the stock voice dialer; however, I haven't rooted my phone yet, nor disabled any of the Verizon apps (I'm waiting to figure out which are safe to get rid of). I have offline voice recognition checked, the English voice pack is installed, unchecked block offensive words (would have blocked half of my conversations), and checked records audio via Bluetooth headset.

Hi,
I've got the International version (F400S) and I am using a wired Sony headset. I press and hold the button and something opens in Korean or Chinese. I don't know what this is, if it's an app or something else. I can see that there is a "QVoice" app installed, but there is no icon for it, so can't access it.
Can anybody help me with configuring the wired headset settings?
Thanks
D855 voice dial over bluetooth does not work for me as well. Tried every d855 official roms and its missing on them all. There is no voice command app from Lg installed and google now doesn't work with the bluetooth option checked or unchecked.
Could anyone with voice dial over bluetooth working could you upload the lg voice command app.

There's a widget for that. If you go to add a widget, look for SETTINGS - in there you'll find one for mobile network.

You DON'T want your phone discoverable permanently. For what you said you want to do, use a headset, you don't need it to be. Once you're paired that's it.
Is it possible to use Bluetooth voice daling? I can't find how to do this.. Does anyone know how?

Use choice dialer, there are free and paid versions. May require a reboot before use.
Does that app use the voice recognizing software of google? Or does each app has its own?

All I know is it works wonders. It does pronounce the names of my friends like the google one does, though, so it may just be using Google's recognition.
I've installed the app, but the button on my bluetooth headset is still not working.. Using the search button on my phone does work, but touching your phone is illigal while driving in the Netherlands.
Is there a way to use the buton on my headset to start voice dailing?
ps: I'm really disapointed that this feature isnt part of the stock software. It's a big miss on such a high-end phone!

I have to agree, however the app is working for me on a Jabra bt handfree, out of curiosity have you rebooted the phone after installation?
Regards

I did a fast reboot and that didnt help. After you message I did a battery pull and now choice dialer works just like you sad.
Just too bad that this app has a hard time understanding all my Dutch names.. This solution is far from perfect to me, but thank for you help anyway!!
I really don't get why the original voice recognition software is only used to search google Why would anyone want to use google hands-free? You will have to use your fingers immediately after the search anyway.
When designing a phone, I think your main focus should be on making a perfect phone, after this you can add loads of extra's which hardly anyone is ever going to use!
I'm still searching for a way to use the build-in voice recognision to make calls with bluetooth..
Anyone??
Hi,
I'm interested too with this feature.
Idool, did you find a solution ?
No, sadly I did not.. I'm still hoping to find a solution. Are you looking for a dutch version as well?

No, i'm French.
I found "Cyberon Voice Commander", the 3.0 release works on Android plateform and it's multilanguage (i didn't find Dutch). But there is no trial, you must pay 5€

If you're trying to say that voice dialling should be a stock feature on a cellphone, than I totally agree. Especially such a hi-end device!!

It is with Froyo and Nexus devices, the APK is called "Voice Dialer" : http://www.mediafire.com/?912je0f8fta72b2
But does not work with our DHD, or maybe in puting in the rom before flashing it (with rom cleaner tool for exemple, i did not try yet)
I don't use bluetooth headsets currently however I do use a program called Vlingo which is very good at recognising voice, their description also say it works with bluetooth:
Vlingo InCar offers (Part of the Vlingo app):
* Voice-driven, hands free initiation – Vlingo enters listening mode upon Bluetooth® connectivity
* Voice driven, hands free initiation using a “wake up word”
* Conversational user guidance instead of a touch screen
* Ability to send and respond to messages, make calls and get directions using only voice commands
It can be downloaded free from the market and for mee the voice recognition seems to be far more accurate when compared to Google Voice.
Does it work in French ?
Did you try cyberon voice commander?
Edit: i tryed cyberon voice commander and vlingo and i use only vlingo now. It's great app, absolutely handsfree for voice dialing with bluetooth hf.

Does Vlingo work with the bt headset button? Voice Search doesn't seem to work, since I've tried it.

I have bluetooth Jabra Clipper paired for phone (and media) audio. When I start a call using the BT device the phone starts the phone app and dials the last called number automatically. This is not what I want. I bought Cyberon Speed Call and I would like to associate the 'start call' command with this app so I can choose who to call. SO when I start a call using BT the Cyberon app should start and not the phone app. I have been using Cyberon on my windows mobile for a long time and there is works like this. Anyone knows how to associate (if that's the correct term) an app with the start call command via bluetooth?
Don't think it works that way. You need the phone app in order to do anything call related. If it doesn't give you an option to make a default for the app you want to use then I don't think you are going to have much luck.

Thanks, but I think I didn't make myself clear enough: the situation now is that when I press the button on my BT device the phone app starts calling the last dialed number. What I want ( and what should be possible according to the manufacturer of the app) is that when I press the button on my BT device the Cyberon Speed Dial app should start, wait for me to say the name of the person I want to call (in non-English pronunciation) and THEN start the phone app calling the person I just named. It works when I start the Cyberon app manually, I just can't get the BT device to start Cyberon instead of the phone app.
I'm on T-mobile and have a stock G3, wifi calling enabled and calling preference set to Wi-Fi Preferred. When I try a wifi call I get "There are no internet calling accounts on this phone" and am asked to make a SIP account. Anybody seen this?

Just found this, "T-Mobile has opensourced their SIP with TLS/SIM Auth stack on android..." here
Mine worked out of the box, connected to WiFi and WiFi calling came on. No extra stuff is necessary.
When you say stock you mean a stock tmobile g3 right?
Not sure if you're trying to specifically execute internet calling. For T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling just have it enabled (set preferred), and be on wifi with internet access. You should see a notification appear saying you're using Wi-Fi Calling. Then just make normal calls and they go over wifi.
My wife also got a G3 at the same time, and hers works so it's not my location, router, DSL, etc. Tried a factory reset to no avail. It's in T-Mobile's hands now. If it's not a programming thing on their end I'll go for a new phone.
Tried the wife's sim and also compared every setting in her phone to mine but saw nothing different. Got a new phone, still no dice.
T-Mobile says that "Internet call" in the pop-up refers to voip and "Cell phone call" is cell and also wifi calling if it's on. I've never used voip so I don't see how it could be some remnant of that. Tech support gave it several shots but finally threw in the towel.
I get this on every number i dial except voicemail:

Did you migrate from a Nexus 5 or a rooted android device? I have the same issue. My Nexus 5 had the ability for a VoIP (SIP) account which I had configured on my Nexus device. I believe the T-Mobile LG G3 skin does not allow for this or it is hidden. So when Google restored my setting on my new LG G3 phone, it included the settings for VoIP /SIP account however not supported by t-mobile. This means I need to figure out how to access this account or I need to factory default out my G3. The issue is once I do this, I will not be able to use Google services to restore my config or it will configure the VoIP account again and I will be back at square one.

My last phone was a G2. Yes, the voip settings are missing (normally under Call, Internet Settings) which I assume is T-Mobile's doing. I added a dummy SIP account to see what would happen and the dialer attempted to use it. I could not delete this account in Settings, but clearing data for the Phone app erased it. I guess there is another setting that I can't get to that will fix this. If by "factory default" you mean factory reset, that did not help me. If you mean new google account, that may work but is more trouble than it is worth to me.

Installed an OTA update today that was supposedly for Wi-Fi Calling enhancements but it did nothing for me. Help you?
EDIT: Funny, the update was changed to "T-Mobile Free Inflight Texting support".
Also Google has finally brought WiFi calling with Google Voice into Hangouts, like they had foe over a year already on iOS. This pretty much eliminates any need for voice minutes on any US or Canadian carrier and works fine over WiFi or data.
I called my son and was able to retrieve my Voice phone number which I had forgotten.

Unchecking the Xposed-mtc-bt in the Xposed modules fixed the problem. Now I can sync the phonebook.
Unfotunately the included mic is crap. It's too short to install in the overhead console, so I have it next to the steering wheel. It seems to pick up everything but voices.
