Samsung stopped using Qualcomm for LTE and switched to Intel with the Tab S.
So you didn't believe me when I answered you (and confirmed Exynos 5420 LTE support) in another thread a number of days ago? .......

I actually believed you sir. Im just a bit confused. Perhaps i need to do more research. Past sammy products states that exynos does not support the lte hence they used snapdragon to address thr issue. Your mind bank is way greater than mine and your credibility is off the roof. I simply checked out GSM arena for the specs and was advised that lte is to snapdragon as wifi is to exynos. All is well right now and im happy with this tab.
It is in fact Intel which supports global LTE. But why does Samsung lock out US LTE bands so we can't import these wonderful tablets into the US?
Does the Exynos LTE version capable playing the 4k video recorded with note 3 or other youtube downloaded 4k videos smoothly ? On other Snapdragon LTE playing 4k vids no problem just the Exynos is one having hard time playing them. So just want to make sure before I decide to buy Tab S LTE with Exynos LTE chip in it. Thanks
They've already had Exynos LTE for sometime. Most probably used in tablets for now only due to lower availability.

Suppose to be for TV (TV Tuner), anyone knows where I can find the App to exploit that ?
I can't seem to find anything.
Here's a video showing what it does on a Galaxy Tab.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHrzdd4eDNM
Thank you for the help
Probably gonna be tough. Most of us don't have korean sgs2
I understand that, just trying to figure out if there's a Korean Rom that would have the APK and someone saved it or something.
Also the app seems available on Brazil devices too.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919219
Found this, i'll see if I can make it work on a SGSII rom.
isnt that galaxy s in that picture?
no Ariel or TV tuner chip I am aware of in this phone, hows that gonna work exactly?
I think that this is NOT Samsung Galaxy (S/S2) at all
yeah agree doesn't look like any variant of the SII I've seen, maybe a misleading buy
Here is the link from the korean Samsung website
LINK
Some where in the middle is the tv thing but it's just the info sry couldn't find an app. Maybe you can try in a korean android forum?

i'm a bit gutted, i'd quite like to watch TV on my phone
NVM, guess i'll carry on using TV Catchup...
Broadcast type problems
according to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATSC_standards
In Korea they are switching over to ATSC as used in the USA
Don't know how that would work with DVB/T in Europe
Don't know how that would work with ISDB-T in Brazil
Different tuner chips would be needed...

I don't know if it is available in the UK but in Switzerland you can have Internet TV.
You pay 9 chf per month and you can watch as much TV as you want over the mobile internet.
You don't even have to pay for the traffic because it's integrated.
So maybe you have this to in the UK?

Aye we have similar things but the difference is that the TV thing from Swisscom comes directly from a provider.
That's the reason why we don't pay for the traffic even when you have a limit.
You have just to pay once.
I don't know how much it costs in the UK but in Switzerland are the flat rates too expensive so it's quite useful. Anyway it's OT .

Ooook, not trying to beat a dead horse here but found some more interesting stuff. First, gsmarena posted news about an upcoming LTE Samsung device for AT&T which looks eerily similar to the Hecules with 1.5ghz dual-core processor. Link-->http://www.gsmarena.com/lteenabled_htc_vivid_and_samsung_galaxy_s_ii_skyrocket_hit_at_t-news-3335.php
Next, if you use short code *#2263# on our phones it gives you a band selection menu which includes LTE bands. I know the presence of these menus doesn't necessarily mean the bands are included but I don't remember seeing these in my Vibrant.

Actually, my theory is the Hercules and the Skyrocket are the same save for some slight cosmetic differences. Meaning our phone may be LTE capable but the bands are currently locked out.
Very interesting...
I would be thrilled if our phone actually physically supports LTE.

ok so based on what i just saw under wcdma it shows bands 850 900 1700 1900 and 2100 but doesnt actually select the all of those bands. When i tried it i could get on every band except for 900.
a * shows up on the band that you select. But when you select 900 it doesnt show a * after going back in the menu. Just shows the previously selected band. Same goes for the lte bands.
So i think that it shows all possible bands that other varients of the phone can connect to probably because of the same software but those bands arent actually on this phone

You are right. On the box of this phone it says it supports 850 1700 1900 2100 but no 900, and the fact that you can't select 900 in that software agrees with this. So not being able to select any LTE bands is a good indication that this phone doesn't physically support it.

Don't count on Sprint to somehow make their network drastically better just because they're coming out with the Galaxy Nexus and starting LTE...

The importer helps with your warranty.
And if you're on T-Mobile, you save money every month by signing a contract without a phone subsidy, or by going off contract. You easily make up the difference of an unlocked phone. If you want it, buy it unlocked. You're going to be waiting a long time for T-Mobile to get it.
Basically theres nothing stopping you from getting it if you really want it that bad. Saying "T-Mobile doesn't carry it" isn't an excuse.

Well, like Verizon and ATT's LTE networks, there won't be anyone using their LTE network... so yeah, speeds will probably be pretty good too if they roll it out in your area. But that probably won't be for a while.

That's supposedly over 10mhz which is half the expected deployment spectrum size of 20mhz (which is what VZW uses)
And for that matter... Sprint looks like they're upgrading their 3g network to EvDO Rev B finally.

Hello the 910w8 mother board is diffrent than 910t.
Why are you trying to replace the motherbord?
You would need to replace all of the chips on the board and it is possible that it won't work. Usually if you replace the MD with a non compatable one the issue with that is that the board can't read it because of the chips are locked and you would need to do an physical unlock method via pin method.
I am not sure if you are still stuck on replacing this phone.
My brother has 910w8 that is working just replaced the battery too. He had it since 2014. lol.
Long story short. I can try to convince my brother to sell u his phone so you can do the chip swap if u needed to recover the data. Let me know tnx.

For me to understand your question more please give me more details on what you are trying to do. Are you replacing all of the chips on the motherboard from an N910T to an N910W8?
For carrier reasons you can call your carrier and have your phone geo-unlocked for free to work on all networks.
I am very experienced with phones.
