Verizon Release Date

Hi,
I'm a moderator over at Android Forums. I regularly get leaks from a Vz insider. I wanted to share this information, as I didn't think it was fair to be miserly with it. S/he says the phone is coming out on 11/17.
I posted the complete messages here. S/he gives the reason it's coming out on the 17th in the follow-up message that I liked in the the url above.

I'm reserving myself to the possibility that we'll get a November 30th release. That way, anything else is better and I don't bug out until then.

nope i just spoke to a customer representative from Verizon she said it's not possible that it will be ready for pre odering tomorrow because if that was the case we would have been notified a day earlier. so..

Do you either of you know were to get a coupon code? I'd like to save as much as possible if I decide to get the 16GB model.
The only concern I have about handtec is their supply. On the blog they say they will be filling the backorders. I hope it will be enough left afterwards.

Verizon is dominant in my area. I'm tired of getting less than 200 kb/s download speed, when I'm sitting in a Verizon LTE area.

I don't blame you. I am fortunate that T-mobile and At&t work pretty well in my city. Verizon is the best but, at my house the other two carriers work just as good if not better. HSPA+ is very fast in my city. This is why I don't have a issue with going with T-mobile. Sprint was the worse when I tried it.

Yeah, major city (Columbia, SC) and Sprint's 3G never exceeds 300 kb/s. 4G? Forget about it, at least until they get their LTE built, but that may not happen until 2013, and I'm not waiting until then. I may come back if they get LTE and unlimited data in my area, but it doesn't look good as far as the unlimited data goes.
I'm waiting to get the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon for a couple of reasons. One being the current double data promotion and the other being I can get a 19 percent discount through my employer, so I can get 10 gigs of data each month for like 94 bucks a month, or 4 gigs for 74 bucks a month.

I just called verizon
I just called verizon and spoke with a rep. he did not even know when. so I asked him this "do you feel it will be out before christmas" and he told me "well I honestly cant tell you for sure because even I am unaware of when the release or pre-orders start for the nexus, but if you haven't seen any ads or much marketing for the Galaxy Nexus then it will probably won't be here until early next year, but again that is only my speculation." So even a Verizon Rep has little faith in his own company.

on a Sunday afternoon. Not a big deal, but a nice little surprise I forgot about. The pocket charger has an in and out port too so you can put it inline with your phone while charging. The backing is slick (as in slippery'ish, not cool) to I'm just going to stick on my wife's since she uses a case anyways. Just thought I'd share

the estimate price is from some of my previous purchase experiences.

I'm not really interested in turning these around for a couple of $ profit each one. Its not worth the time. Subvertz, you asked first about the one I have so I PM'd you.
I'm not really impressed with the pattern on the battery cover, but if you guys like it, to each his own. Different tastes I suppose. I do like the little battery charger. My wife is going to keep that in her purse as she invariably forgets to charge her phone. I'm sure it will come in very handy.

would be bad ass to have this for LTE with extended batt :|

My new play Nexus running on Straight Talk

Man after being under Sprints thumb for 2 years I am free. I live in a rual area and had to have an airave just to get phone calls. I have full bars now and 5mb dl speed. I know thats slower than some are getting and I bet it's faster closer to town. All I can say is I love it. Anybody thinking about it should make the switch. Plus pure Google is pure awesome.

Good to hear. I am in the process of making the jump to T-mob Monthly 4G from Sprint. Their data service has become so slow (45 kb/s) in my area, that paying "Premium Data" charges is ridiculous. I really like the prepaid business model versus subsidizing the device.

Congrats! I left horrible Verizon for Straight Talk with GSM Nexus. I actually get better service on ST Att than I was getting with Verizon.

I also came from sprint which couldn't even steam pandora.

Best thing I have found with google now if you open it and say S*&T it takes you to the Sprint stocks page. Best laugh I have had in a long time.

I did the same thing. I have had my Nexus for about 2 weeks now using it with Straight Talk sim and I love it. Came from the Rezound.
Called and complained to Verizon twice in 1st 6 months about my service and they let me out without ETF.
Had 3 lines ~$230.00 month for Rezound, iPhone and another dumb phone. Now paying $150.00 for 2 Smart Phones "Nexus and Galaxy Y for my son" and 1 dumb phone "iPhone" for my wife.

Uses Verizon towers for voice & 3G... after 800mb of data he will get a letter from Sprint saying goodbye.. sometimes it can take a few months to receive the letter.

It happens... Same thing happened with the G2, Z, and a few other devices. Verizon had a BOGO after the initial release of the M8. The case isn't the one with charging and it's a snap on(doesn't replace the back).

First off... Calm down... Secondly. Try calling Customer Care and CALMLY tell them the situation. They might send you one (can't guarantee it) if you just bought it recently....

I spoke to a representative and she wasn't able to do it even though I'm a new customer. She says promotional vary all the time and unfortunately it wasn't being offered when I signed up and that there's nothing she can do. She even escalated it and was told no go.

either way, I'm a firm believer in the fact it isn't released today, since verizon never once said the 17th and always had the 23rd as their release date, but hey I'd love to be proven wrong and see some shots!! post em!

Do imaginary phones count? If so, my "Note 4" looks strangely like a black S4 32GB with an extended battery
Positive spin though is I can now wait to see if this gets rooted easily. Not getting it if root is complex or no sign of it being soon. I need card writes enable and I do not trust Google that they will
enable it in the final release of Lollipop- even though the function is there. It already is in Kitkat, but disabled in the firmware script.
I have read Chainfire works, but yet to see anybody with a US device tout that they have root.

I think everyone needs to lighten up a bit. I was hoping for the 17th but my gut said it wouldn't be until the 23rd (or later for white???). Nothing wrong with people going off of what they were told but they shouldn't have been surprised when it didn't come true.

I just called my local BB where I pre-ordered the Black Verizon Note 4. They said phones are in and I can pick it up anytime today. I plan to go this afternoon and will verify if this in fact was the case.

I loved the way samsung made effective use of the box by showing yet another use for the pen. LOLS!

Let us know what you find cyclone. My guess is they got other carriers note 4s in and not the Verizon one. And even if they did get it, I doubt they will release it. But good luck, going to call my BB where I preordered (and was told about 100x that it would be the 17th) and see what they say now.

I wish I could! I am a Veterinary student, I have surgery lab this afternoon so I can't skip. If it was just lectures I would be outta here, lol

Interesting, I will be waiting to see if you get it. Best Buy was the one that got a lot of people excited. They have been advertising Oct 17th as the release date for quite a while now. If you get one, I will be heading to Best Buy asap!
