[Q] Remove Battery Saver Notification? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the battery saver notification? I paid for the upgraded version of Tweaks Box, hoping that would help, but noticed afterwards that it said "hide all but the one that says it's enabled".
I'd like to leave it on all the time, to turn on once it hits 30%, but that persistent notification drives me crazy. Is there an option I'm missing in TweaksBox or another Xposed module/hack to get rid of that enabled notification?

Oh my goodness - that drives me crazy, just because I want battery saver for below 30% doesn't mean I need a constant reminder when I'm well charged! Yep, there's a notification status option in the Gravity Box exposed module somewhere (forget exact location in GB)... I removed it that way, you have to tinker a bit.

This is driving me nuts. Any way to get this notification gone?

I believe the post directly above yours answered your question

G3 TweaksBox has settings for this.
Hide the Battery Saver notification
- Hide all Battery Saver notifications but the one that says it is enabled (i.e. when you're actually low on battery).
It takes away both the icon and notification itself.

Gb is running fine on your phone? I thought it was only for Aosp roms..

Worked on my TouchWiz S3, Gionee device, tablet, and more for the most part. A small amount if features especially lock screen size won't work on non AOSP ROMs/devices, but Gravity Box works on pretty much any rooted device with Xposed.

Icon in notification bar won't go away.

Yesterday, this icon showed up in my notification bar, and i can't get rid of it. I'm running the stock ROM in my Telus SGS3. Haven't installed any new apps lately, and i don't have any notifications.
Any idea what it is, or how to get rid of it?
I rebooted already, and it's still there. Also tried a battery pull with no luck.
Thanks in advance!

It means that you have notifications turned off. In the toggle menu in the notification drawer, there should be a toggle to turn it back.

[Q] Take "Ongoing" off of notification bar

I am trying to get rid of the "Ongoing" in my notification bar. It just showed up one day. There is a battery with the percent on the left side on the status bar, too. Any idea on what to do to get rid of this?

That's from your carrier only way to get rid of it is to root your phone and custom rom.....but some custom roms has that as well but most of them don't

That doesn't make any since, because my wife's SGS3 doesn't have it on her phone.
Thank you for the info. I will look into it
I don't think it has anything to do with rooting your phone. It just means that you have ongoing notifications. And you can't clear these like you can the one time normal notifications because they are still active i.e., ongoing. Once you close those tasks, like turning off the wifi calling and whatever the other item is, the ongoing notitications will clear themselves automatically. I don't know how to keep it from showing these ongoing notifications when they are active. Probably a feature of the app itself. Unless the app itself gives you that option under its settings.
It's a setting in the app.

That makes sense, but what app?
The app that is shown.... click on the ongoing notification the app should open then hit menu and look at the notification settings. You may have to reboot after you then it off. WiFi calling can't be hidden.
Ok. I found the app. I went through all my apps I downloaded after it happened and it was a new feature for Widgetsoid.
Thanks for the help all

Wanam Xposed hacks slow phone

I've noticed the more of the hacks you turn on, the more sluggish the phone gets. Today I turned all of them off and was surprised at how snappy the phone was. I then turned on only a few of what I used to have and it has remained that.
I am using stock rooted 4.42 still on B4.

Well yeah.. more running processes
What hacks are you using? Just curious cause I use Xposed w/about 5 or 6 different modules and I haven't noticed any slowdowns.

[Q] How to diable smart screen notification

Hi,
I use LG smart screen on my phone, I find it very usefull as I tend to browse and read on my phone and it keeps the screen on while I'm reading.
Sometimes, I'm not sure if it is every time it acts or only when it doesn't detect my face correctly, it shows a notification (an eye inside a rectangle) on the notification bar and it is distracting.
Also since the Lollipop update it also shows on the lockscreen and that is annoying.
I would like to diable that notification in particular (but keep on using the feature). I tried disabling the notifications from the app's properties but it is not posible, it's greyed out. I also tried to convert the app to an user app with titanium backup but It didn't work, still greyed out. I couldn't find useful information here or on the Internet.
I'm rooted and have xposed for Lollipop installed.
Do you know a way to diable it?
Thanks,
Miki

I believe the eye means it is looking for your face because its about to shut the screen off. If you see that eye hold the phone so it can see you better and screen won't shut off. This seems to work for me.
Yes, that's what it means, the problem is I use glasses and that seems to confuse the app, and even though it works it shows the notification and that distracts me when I'm focused reading. It also shows on the lockscreen and it doesn't look right.

Question Any option to do LED notification?

Couldn't find a setting to make "Always On" show me a signal on screen for missed calls or messages.
Anyone found a solution for that?
This is my only issue with this great phone. I thought it was a fault at first. I get one animation then the 10 sec AOD or I have to keep the AOD on all the time.
I have no idea why there is no option to keep the AOD going until you acknowledge/read the notification. I really hope it’s an oversight that will be fixed with an update.
Same here, got the 10s AOD and I was hoping I would get the pulse animation after a missed call... but nope. :/
[APP]AMOLED Notification Light "NotifyBuddy"
So I was annoyed not having an LED notification light on oneplus 6t so I tried to make one of my own;). As OP6T has amoled display whenever a desired notification comes the app brings in a black screen with notification LED looking animation...

Really, you got it working?
I tried and just tried again, never got any signal after a notification, AOD on or off.

It’s working for me. I enabled Autostart, Overlay permission and set no restrictions in battery saver and it worked for Outlook, WhatsApp and calls (not tested text messages). I bought the full version after the initial test and use the app icons option without any problems too.
I’m running 12.0.5.0

I should have also said you need to select the apps you want a notification from and separately enable missed call notification in settings.
Thanks for confirming.
It's working for me now on the 3rd installation...
I touched every lighting/oled saving parameters, stuff like that and now it's showing up.
edit: ...and I uninstalled it after seeing the battery it wasted.

Well it stopped working for me after a few hours, but I also noticed it annihilated the battery even more than just enabling AOD permanently. Will try it again if there is an update.

Always on all the time U'll see the icon of the app that got a notification lol
I enabled the constant AOD a few days ago and I think there must have been something else going on during my initial testing because the battery only drops 2% per hour now. I’m using the first simple clock option (red) and thankfully it moves position after a few min. An LED would have been nice, but totally happy with the AOD now.
NotifyBuddy was using the same battery as full on gaming for some reason :/
