Anyone seen this? I rooted with towelroot no issues. From rent a center in USA was told its unlocked. I am running on 442 on att towers from net10.
I thought about flashing twrp with
But have not. Also thought about a custom rom insrall with mobile odin pro.
So far happy with rooted stock. With exposed gravitybox an wanam
Wonder if I am a first with this build or just not read enough yet.
Please comment or sugest things about this build etc. I will try an answer question anyone might have also.
note 3 rooted N900T

I have never seen that build number before. Wonder what it could be

Didn't notice the build number has RAC which is Rent a Center I would think. Until I have a pc to recover I won't be taking any more risks flashing etc. I got it rooted on stock so will live with that for the time being.

No idea

Did you find out anymore about this? I might be going the same route since my Note 2 died and discovered this, how much was the full price of the phone too and did they offer a N900A (AT&T Model) I'd like to get that one as it has more LTE Bands than the N900T (T-Mobile Model).

I'd imagine since it basically is a differently branded N900T it can take any T-Mobile rom version, since that's T-Mobile's model number. RAC Just branded it as their own by adding a few letters to the model name.

The RAC rom had no tmo apps or settings. I am on stock tmo NF4 and have settings i can't use. Going to install vision-x int. Rom. Was using and its great thought i had an issue with it but its something with my phone. I tripped knox but won't ever use it so Don't care.
There are tons of working roms and dev seems very active. Hoping that the note 4 being so close in specs will give note 3 more updates.

Not sure about price. I was renting a note 8. Returned that got this and am saving money every month over my Verizon bill and tablet rental. Its also the only way i could ever get a 800 dollar phone.

Yea I'm going to get one tomorrow hopefully.
Did it have any RAC Bloatware? I might take mine to metroPCS or my T-mo $30 100mins, unlimited texts and 5gb of data a month plan.
Glad to see they don't try to sell you on a plan right away when ya lease it.
Any essential settings that didn't work or nothing to worry much over about.
Hopefully we will see Team DittoNote3 make and bake a DittoNote4 rom for the N3 with note 4 features. I remember hearing in a couple reviews that it was all just software differences realy, so seeing as we have a healthy mod scene for the Note 3 we'll prolly see Note 4 features on it.

Just got mine from RAC.
Team RAC-Note 3!!
LoL

Great to see I wasn't the only one hehe. Running vision-x untl rom with lean kernel. Works great on straight talk service.
This rom+kernel and greenify gives me great battery life.

Well this is a bunch of b.s., they released the Note 4 but they expected me to continue paying the price of the Note 4 per week ($49) for the Note 3 instead of the it's new price $29 a week. I let them come and pick it up. I'll just go back and get the Note 4 in a couple days.

You would have to do a new contract at lower price. Thankful I get along great with the staff at the store I use.

So do I that's why they let me slide for a week with no payment... But luckily I found a new job, a month and a half unemployed but now I'm back in the working force again, so I'm gunna go back in and get the Note 4 long enough to save up a couple paychecks and buy the Note Edge will be released and I can order it from somewhere...
I'm surprised this time the Note 4 (N910T) T-Mobile model has more LTE Bands than the AT&T (N910A) Variant, before the i317 and n900a (AT&T Note 3) had more bands than the T889 and n900t.

I just wish rac and aarons both would honor price drops and not force someone to continue paying top dollar for a outdated model, but then again of course they'd lose money. LoL

I tweeted to RAC about it. Got 2 free phones out of moto so let's see what happens. If I have to stay at this price I will return my not so pristine note 3 and get the 4. Just need to figure out how to securely wipe everything. Factory reset isn't good enough to secure delete banking files.

Some people can't afford the large payment to get one. You find it funny but if I break it it's replaced free. When the note 4 is release my past payments give me credit to upgrade which I can just walk in on payment day and swap phones. I also can pick what carrier I want that will work with the model they get.
I rented tablets from them and upgraded unto newer hardware about every 3 months.
Currently rent to own a S5 and Note 3 at a lower monthly cost then just my old Verizon bill not including the cost of the phones and no free replacement when one shattered. So this for some is a great way to get an unlocked high end phone. They even rented to me knowing I would root etc without issues. Warranty in full.
Not so funny.

Yes it is funny because you pay $29 bucks a week when you can buy a brand new
Note 4 or any other new phone including iPhone 6 for under $35 bucks a month
at tmobile online or at your local store.
If you like dropping your phone on your cement driveway or giving it a bath once
in a while you can simply shell out an additional $7-10 bucks a month which is still
way less than you are paying now no matter what kind of calculator you are using! LOL
I purchased my Note 4 outright, using my visa debt card but I could have just as
easily purchased it for 24 monthly payments of under $35 a month. (no interest)
What do you mean you cannot afford it? You really must be kidding!!!
It looks like you have no problem affording the $29 bucks a week payment.
$29 per week equals about $120 a month hmm let me get my calculator... LOL
That comes out to about $1560 a year just for the phone without a voice/data plan or contract.
You really must be very rich to be able to afford that.

Bought it......Sold it. $475 For those still on the fence re N7100 vs SGHi717 .

I should have listened to my instincts and went of the N7100. I really wanted to like the ATT version. I got the device. immediately rooted it and flashed the CleanLite Rom. There were a couple things I missed too much and the additional $30 a month was not worth it since we do not have LTE and if we did the speeds are really only realized when downloading ir uploading huge files. Regular browsing is still website dependent,
However the phone is always seeking LTE. No way to turn it off. Having been on Mediat Net UL data was nice but I never used more than 700mb and that was when I was steaming TuneIn radio just to try it out. (I was listening to the same shows we have locally.at different times) I am a talk radio junkie. I love all the gad fests, from Kim Komand to Rush Limbaugh. I am plugged in all day at work.
I need the FM Radio and I did not want to pay $15 more a month for it and have to get a 3GB plan. Not to mention the battery use for radio is far less than streaming wifi or carrier data. So I called ATT and Provisioned my International Note 1 for Smartphone data ( I had to convince them I had a smart phone because you cannot have two dumb phones on a family share plan and the wife International SGS II i9100 shows up as a dumb phone to get the Family Shared 1GB plan. Now we have messaging as well which we did not have and unlimited calling which we did not have. and I will buy an N7100 when the prices drop below $600. Funny all these years I was under the radar. they "discovered " my Note a a smart phone and I always had to call to switch it back to MediNet. Now I had to convince them it was a smart phone...Funny how things work.
The international development is very much further as well. although a few "ported" ROMs are showing up on this side of things.
Love the form factor of the Note 2 and it was very fast. The additional processing and RAM were clearly noticeable.
S Pen much better. Notification LED nice. There is a reason to upgrade for sure. In my case the N7100 is the better choice.Warranties mean little to me since I root the devices out of the box,
I posted this for those who are on the fence and may have similar needs.
Thanks for the post, man. I'm fighting myself over whether I want to go grab a Note II today (been thinking about it non-stop all weekend). Heck, I was cussing when I saw your post in the MP and I missed out! I'd have bought it in a heartbeat (and saved a couple of hundred $$$ in the process).
I've already got the AT&T GSIII, so I'm not sure how much of an upgrade the Note II would be for me. I mean, I KNOW it would be an upgrade in some areas, but I'm just trying to figure out if it warrants the $$$ (and the money isn't a problem for me...I'm just debating myself as I always do on large purchases). I'd be buying off-contract (as I did with the SIII), so it's not a small amount of money.
I usually get my phones, the off-contract ones at least, from Best Buy because of their generous 30-day return window and their price matching. I guess I could always grab a Note II and give it a go for a couple of weeks. Then I'll know for sure whether it's a worthy upgrade or not and if not, I can always return it without a restocking fee.
Glad to see you got things figured out. Sorry I missed out on buying your Note II, but glad to see you got it sold quickly! :good:

We have pretty good LTE coverage here...and I do use it..and I also had my time with 3 of the G3's...when they worked that is..
Looking at things objectively...is the Note 2 a upgrade worthy enough to leave the G3...IMHO...you bet it is especially if you like big screens...and can use the S-pen...
If those 2 things aren't enough to sway you...then maybe you should wait for the G 4 to come out...I would never go back to a G3 after using this one...to me it's leaps and bounds above them and custom roms will come...hell the sys dump for the ATT version just happened on the 6th of this month...so...IMHO...go get one and use it for a while...at least you will have a time with it to see what all the hubbub is about... and since they are still in short supply in many places...I don't think you will have any issue selling it if you don't like it..
Mac
I don't regret leaving my gs3 one bit. You either want a bigger screen or you don't and the internals are certainly a bump up. Getting the note 2 was a little intimidating now I don't think I could go back to the gs3.
about att and international note 2 choices, basically the question is: LTE & warranty or lots more custom rom
I choose att version only because i like LTE. and i am sure the att version will have its asop, cm 10/11, miui, and some kernel.

The problem with ASOP with the Notes is the S pen apps don't always work as they are Samsung apps and Samsung has been hoarding their drivers as well. The FM Radio did not work in Cyanogen. Needed a $10 app to make it work Spirit UL I think it was. I like the Samsung stuff well enough and eliminate the Social apps so I stick with the Stock Samsung ROMS. Especially since I am not a flashaholic and prefer to stick with a good ROM that only gets updated when there are major updates.
OP;us I am running 4..1.2 now and the ATT Note was a step back as far as Multiview etc went. Roms will be coming but like with the Captivate most of the good stuff will be ported from the N7100 developers
I dont get it. You bought it and sold it. So you save 30 a month? Did you buy it out right or sign contract. Contract arent you IN contract so you pay anyway? Full price?

I bought it for $239 an signed a contract for two years I have been with ATT since Wireless began. I don;t plan on changing Carriers. We have had two upgrades for the past four years. I burned one to try the ATT version. Since I rooted it I don't feel right bringing it back and sold it instead made a few dollars toward the N7100 With the sale iof My Note either way it was going to cost me $300 to buy the N7100. Now it will be "free" or at most $100 more. I will use my wife's upgrade next year.
I buy her used International phones. She loves the SGS II i9100 and will be using that until it fails. Then I will find her a well used international SIII to keep her on the $30 non smartphone plan.
We pay $115 a month for two phones with UL everything except for the 1GB data Same as we were paying for two mediaNEt UL data phones with no messaging and 700 minutes. I don;t use a lot of carrier data with the FM radio especially.
Disregard me please. Im totally lost even more now. Att has a 1gb plan? I didnt know

For me, its an easy choice. LTE. I live about 30 miles from AT&T headquarters, so LTE speed is amazing. As far as custom rom's go. I create my own stuff, so that does not concern me the slightest.
CM will come. Ive already setup the device tree, I just need to figure out the RIL stuff and defconfig in the kernel, to enable to qualcomm modem.

Yeah they have a family share plan with UL talk and messaging with 1 GB data shared. One smart phone and one dumb phone would be $115 a month. They charge $40 plus $30 for the "dumb" phone and $45 for the smart phone. If my wife were to get an ATT smart phone the bill would go up nearly $200 a year. $15 more a month Still sharing 1GB. Not worth it. I would go back to MediNet and two "dumb" phones. We have a couple old dumb phones we stick the SIM cards in when calling ATT. Except now I have declared a smart phone to get UL talk and messaging.
With 4GB shared the bill would be $15 more Her phone would Still be $30 the plan would go to $70 and my phone would drop to $40 Basically I would get 3GB more for another $25 a month. I would rather pay the extra $15 for 2GB if i should use over 1GB. Without LTE there is no way I would be using 2GB.
LTE is great. but for basic web browsing 4G is fine. Downloading huge ROM files would be nice at home with 30MPS LOL I would use the Carrier before the cable internet. But I don;t want to become dependent on high carrier speeds. Its like the carriers are drug dealers. they get you hooked then you pay pay pay.....

[Q] Selling the gs3 to get the note 2 without waiting for contract to end?

I currently have the Samsung galaxy s3 and its in perfect condition literally mint condition. I am a huge fan of the note 2 and wanted to sell my galaxy s3 for at least 300 to 250 dollars so that i can purchase a note 2, but will i be able to do this without waiting for my contract to end? I prefer to take care of this at the best buy store rather than a sprint store, but if i must go into a sprint store then so be it. Thanks!!!

You will be able to do it, but you might have to pay,the amount you have to pay to end your contract depends on how much time you have left on it.

You can do that as long as someone on the account is eligable for a phone upgrade (new contract). Upgrade their line with the Note 2 then have Sprint swap the two phones so you can keep your same phone numbers but have traded phones. I did this when I got my S3.
Typical selling price for an S3 is $150 right now.

N900t for Straight Talk

I would like to buy Note 3 n900t unlocked version so as to use it with Straight Talk carrier (using AT&T towers) on LTE data speed.
Will it work?
Or perhaps I should buy n900a version? Unlocked? Or not unlocked is ok?
The main issue for me is to get LTE data speeds.
Thanks!

It will work on Straight Talk AT&T. Just make sure you get the Micro SIM card so it fits. All you'll have to do is input the correct APN info after you sign up for the service. I had to switch to Straight Talk after I got scammed on Swappa. The service in NYC is not so great. I actually decided that it wasn't worth it to pay $50 for what I was getting, so now I'm just using my Note 3 like a tablet.
I hope it their service is better for you/in your area.

Well, either (N900A/N900T) would work on Straight Talk. You will probably have an easier time finding an unlocked T-Mobile version though. And whatever you do, make sure you protect yourself. Plenty of people have been scammed when trying to buy unlocked Note 3s.

Really, I would have thought the way AT&T locks down their devices there would be less of them floating around.
I got scammed on Swappa. So did other people apparently (via Swappa and Craigslist). Basically I bought my T-Mobile Note 3 on Swappa from a person with a perfect rating who assured me that the phone was not on EIP/stolen. Turns out is was and he wasn't paying, so T-Mobile blocked it. Swappa and Paypal were useless in resolving the issue. You can read the thread here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2605960
Boy did I learn a valuable lesson. My last 6 phones were bought either on Ebay, Craigslist or Swappa. No more. My next phone is coming direct from T-Mobile or the manufacturer. It's not worth $100 in savings to deal with getting scammed.

Boy did I learn a valuable lesson. My last 6 phones were bought either on Ebay, Craigslist or Swappa. No more. My next phone is coming direct from T-Mobile or the manufacturer. It's not worth $100 in savings to deal with getting scammed.

Oh yeah, but it is how it is on eBay at the moment.
Well the scam you described sounds seriously.... I'm going to buy my phone on ebay and buyer accepts 14 days hassle-free returns.... will it be enough to verify it's not stolen etc.?

Even if the seller on Ebay has good reviews, I would still be very cautious. The way these scams work. it can take weeks or months for the device to show up as being non-payment in the carrier's system (or the person can just wait to report it lost or stolen). I bought my Note 3 from Swappa in November and it wasn't blocked until late January. If you do some searching, you might find some threads that help you stay safe, and tell you how to reduce the risk of getting scammed when using Ebay, but for me the risk is too high now. Once you get burned, it just sucks balls and you never want it to happen again.

Have you ever thought to sell your Note 3 to another country where blocked IMEI means nothing?

Yeah, I thought about it, and still might. But I will lose money if I sell now, so that's why I want to wait a bit until at least I can get my next phone. By the time i'm ready to sell it, the price won't be different than if it weren't blocked anyway. By September, when Samsung releases the next Note, all Note 3s will be selling for 350-400.

Well yeah, probably you're right.
I just bought mine n900a for 475$.
But Note 4 would cost no less than 800-900$ I guess, especially in the beginning.
Got my N900T for $350 last week from a guy off Craigslist, only has some scuffs on the sides that you can't see with my case. I had to pay to carrier unlock mine since it was on 4.4.2 tw. Slapped carbon on it and it was running fine on hspa+. I've been on Straight talk for about a year now. Ordered an LTE Sim the other day and got free next day shipping. Literally took me five minutes to get LTE up and running. And it is beautiful.

Most of the time the scammers will wait for the dispute period to end with paypal, which is 45 days, and then leave you high and dry.
1. Buy direct from t-mobile if you can.
2. If you are buying from a local person/craigslist, meet at a T-mobile store and ask an agent to check that it is free and clear with no outstanding payments due. Most of the time if the person is not trustworthy they will not meet you at T-mobile.
If the phone is blocked no amount of begging or pleading will get T-mobile to unblock it. It has been tried over and over and they will not allow you to pay any unpaid balance. The only one who can do it is the scammer who is long gone at that point.

Any other ATT users getting the Tmobile one? Also what's the chance of unlocking?

Any other AT&T users who feel burned by the Note 3 Root fiasco going with a full price Tmobile Note 4 to use on AT&T? I know first question is why not switch to Tmobile, well in my area they don't have good coverage so it's not an option. I plan on signing up for their $40 plan, paying full price for the phone, trading in my old iPhone 4 for $50 and getting the remainder $150 rebate from Samsung then shutting off Tmobile service as soon as I get home.
The only issue with my plan is Tmobile requires 40 days of service before they unlock your phone. Anyone care to guess how long it will take an aftermarket company to have the ability to unlock the Tmobile Note 4 for a fee?
I am in the same boat. I will keep my T plan and just want to purchase the full price TMOB phone. I was unaware I needed to start service with TMOB to buy one. Perhaps my sister who is a TMOB customer will buy it for me. I am not sure the LTE frequencies are the same for TMOB and T. I see some threads that say for the Note that it will work but I am note sure if that is for 3G or LTE. I require LTE or I'll just look at other phones. I am still on a subsidized phone plan so I may just pre-order the T locked crapola phone and sell it discounted to recoupe the part of TMOB phone cost. But I too am looking for confirmation that the TMOB boot loader will be unlocked.
This locked boot loader is a bunch of BS!
Same here. I want to confirm it will be rootable.
I also didn't realize you have to go onto their plan to purchase. I'd think if paying full price it wouldn't be a requirement.
I'll be watching. I'm anxious, but need to be patient.
Well I'm not 100% sure you have to sign up for a plan, I'm just not sure how much resistance or BS you will encounter if you just walk in and say you want a full price phone without getting a plan, IE: without making the rep any money. Maybe it's possible to just buy it outright on the website, I think there is also an option to trade in your phone then because you need to prove a trade in to get the $200 Samsung rebate.
I think the issue is to get it unlocked you have to have it on a Tmobile plan for 40 days. So it's going to have to be an unlocking service that is aftermarket. Do these aftermarket unlocking service typically have access to unlock codes immediately when a new phone is released?
Att user here i will be getting the tmob.. as its official that att and verizon Will not sell devices with unlocked bootladers anymore..
So tmob here i come.. shouldnt take long for xda to come up with an unlock....

Funny ATT and VZW is not afraid to give more business to Tmo. Thats interesting and good for Tmo.
I plan on buying the t-mobile note 4 at full retail price than paying like 10 or less to unlock it from an online site. I then have a note 4 at a lower price than att outright and hopefully a modable phone
Last year I initially bought the Note 3 on ATT and then later bought the t mobile version off of ebay for full retail unlocked. Then returned my ATT version to best buy.
I tried to buy the t mobile version directly from T mobile, but they would not sell to me without my getting a plan. It was going to cost me quite a bit extra to do it that way so I just went to ebay. Swappa may be another option.

Best buy looks like the best option if they have the Tmobile version next week. They are giving a $200 gift card for any traded in phone, which is as good as the Samsung rebate if you like to spend money at BB. You can also just order it full price on the internet no questions asked, no pushy reps.
What do you guys think of warranty issues though? With a ATT phone I'd just go to the ATT warranty center. Since I won't have a Tmobile account I don't think Tmobile will help me with warranty issues. I guess I'm stuck with Samsung for warranty issues. Will a Samsung kiosk take the phone and replace it or send it in, or do I have to deal with Samsung directly?

Best Buy doesn't carry T-Mobile phones or plans other than the prepaid stuff. That's why T-Mobile is excluded from the Best Buy promotion. Amazon also doesn't carry T-Mobile phones/plans other than the prepaid stuff.
You'll need to send it in.
Bleh, I guess I'm stuck with Tmobile and faking their cheapest plan then cancelling when I get home. Oh well, at least I can trade my old iPhone in for the Samsung promo. $549 is not a bad deal for the N4 at all.
Can anyone who has bought a TMOB phone please verify they actually get LTE service on T? Looking at the LTE bands, it appears T verse TMOB used different bands in the same frequency.

Yup, many people get ATT LTE with tmobile phones. Here is a very large thread in the note 3 section on everything you need to know.
See my signature.
I'll never buy another AT&T phone as long as they keep locking the bootloader and going out of their way to prevent root.
T-Mobile S5 got root (and recovery option) the first week it was released. First day maybe even?
AT&T S5 didn't get root until what, seven freaking weeks after release?
This year though, I'm seriously considering just leaving AT&T all together and going with both TMO phone AND plan.
Their coverage in my area is actually better than ATT in some places.
I'm not in a rush to leave my Note 3 behind though.
I'm running an AOSP/CM/Slim based ROM that is absolutely rock solid stable, fast and great battery life and has tons of customization options.
It would be several months before the Note 4 gets a really good AOSP ROM.
A relative of mine has a TMOB plan and I asked them to pre-order the phone for me. They said that TMOB requires you to have a the "jump" plan which they did not use so they would not let them pre-order it.
I assume someone on Flea-Bay will sell unlocked TMOB Note 4 eventually. I guess I'll just have to wait for those to show up. Unless there will eventually is another source without a plan?
Or are all of you preordering them here and then will just cancel the service after you receive it and pay the balance?

Yeah I'm just grabbing it off the website, I'm assuming my plan won't start until I actually activate the phone. As soon as I get the phone delivered I'll cancel the plan and hopefully they don't charge me the first month. Only 2 things I'm not sure of are:
1) They are charging me a $50 deposit versus the first months service, will I get this back? It also says within 12 months!?!? Still I'm ok with it as it's cheaper than the ATT one.
2) What happens to the $22 credit they are giving me for my old phone trade in? I won't have a bill to apply it to, will this get lost?
I have the tmobile note 3 and the at&t note 3,I have at&t service as tmobile service sucks were I am.I bought the tmobile note 3 last year from tmobile full price from store got the cheapest plan then shut it off the next day.I got it unlocked when I got home for 15 bucks from unlock service out of the play store in about an hour.I will never buy a At&t phone again unless the bootloader is unlocked. It took forever just to get root access on the at&t model thats why I bought the tmobile note 3.I can live without the roms but not root.I can assure you I get the same at%t service on my tmobile note 3 as the at&t note 3 including lte on the tmobile note 3.I will be picking up the tmobile note 4 .I want the note edge but there no release date yet so the note 4 will do until I can get the note edge, which will also be picking up the tmobile model using it with at&t service.

That's what I'll be doing.
I've been reading through the Note 3 TMobile-->AT&T thread and am hoping I don't screw up AT&T LTE service if they have my IMEI. (Or lose my grandfathered unlimited plan)
However, I probably just don't fully understand the process yet.

I am not sure how big a PITA it will be to cancel TMOB service the day I receive the phone. Will they hit me with charges other than the cost of the phone and the $10 for the SIM?
It does not sound like the day I receive it I could just stick in my T SIM and go since it comes locked (I assume). Folks with Note 3 experience, please chime in if I am wrong.
Plus, I assume the phone will be locked to TMOB. I was reading that they will unlock it after 45 days, but I wonder if you cancel the service if that is true. I guess someone will offer an unlock service for a nominal amount eventually.
Cancellation and Returns. Service Cancellation: You can cancel a new line of Service, and if applicable, not pay an Early Termination Fee, if you cancel WITHIN 14 DAYS of activating that new line of Service (some states may differ – ask your sales representative) (“Cancellation Period”). You remain responsible for all Charges incurred through the date of cancellation. To cancel Service during the Cancellation Period, you may be required to go to the place where you activated Service and return any T-Mobile Device you acquired at the time of activation. You must return your T-Mobile Device in its package with all original contents, undamaged and in good working condition with no material alterations to the Device’s hardware or software. If you do not return your T-Mobile Device or if you return your T-Mobile Device in a damaged, altered or destroyed condition, we may take one or more of the following actions: (a) prevent your T-Mobile Device from working on any network; (b) charge you the Early Termination Fee(if your line of Service is subject to an early termination fee); (c) elect not to process your Service cancellation; or (d) charge you the suggested retail price or the cost to repair a damaged, destroyed, or non-returned T-Mobile Device, (which may be greater than the price you paid), plus any shipping and handling charges. Device Refunds and Restocking Fees: For T-Mobile Device and accessory returns and exchanges, see the applicable return policy, which is available at your place of purchase. Some T-Mobile Devices and accessories may not be refunded or exchanged, and you may be required to pay a restocking fee.

I am wondering if it just might be less hassle to wait a few days after the phone ship and buy it from Flea-Bay or Swappa or such, where the phone may come unlocked (to TMOB carrier) out of the box?

Which Note 4 Variant do I need?

I have been with AT&T for years. Two lines grandfathered unlimited and the other two I have to pay for data. Today Verizon came out with unlimted. I have a couple tablets on a Verizon plan and want to now switch my phone plan to Verizon and have unlimited for everyone. AT&T's service has been getting very bad for me over the last several years. Constant dropped calls and even though I have unlimited data, the signal is so bad I sometimes can't use it.
I am I die-hard Note fan. I had the first Note, the Note 2 and now the Note 4. On AT&T, I had to buy an outright 910C to be able to use AT&T. I am an engineer and must have rooted phones for some of the things I use. I refuse to use Note 5 for lack of sd card. I was so disappointed when the Note 7 failed. I use my stylus all the time so I really don't want to switch from a Note 4.
I am trying to figure out which variant of the Note 4 I need to work on Verizon's network. I know for a long time, Verizon's was un-rootable just like AT&T. Can someone point me to what I need to buy? Even if there is a Verizon version that is now rootable and that I can buy.
I've been researching most of the day today, but figured I would go ahead and ask since someone could probably more easily give me a definitive answer.
Thanks everyone!
