[Q] Question about Flex Cable and Digitizer Connection - Sprint LG G2

So my LS980 broke about a month and a half ago and my friend has been helping me fix it, and it seems like every time it's about ready to be finished either it's the wrong part or I need another one.
Right now I have everything put back together but I fear I used either the wrong Digitizer because the connection between the two doesn't match. I do have the D800 Flex Cable installed because oddly enough the LS980 one did not properly make all connections.
Both Flex Cables have the same connections though that's what I don't get, the part where the digitizer connects to the flex cable has 16 pins whereas the cable that comes from the digitizer only has ~10 how are these supposed to connect?

Charger cable green stuff inside

So I just got this phone from eBay four days ago and this green stuff is inside the cable. I have 1 year old and i think she put it in her mouth. How do I remove the green stuff? Do I get a new one? Is something wrong with my phone or can it do something to my phone? Any info greatly appreciated.

That's Corrosion. Your best off just replacing the cable. Similar to rust, It was caused by the saliva from your kid. The cable can be cheaply replaced. Once the phone port has corrosion, You're in a bit more of a pickle. You might be able to clean it with a very fine brush and maybe a solvent like rubbing alcohol. Just make sure it's completely dry before you plug it into the wall or the phone.
Thank for the reply. I will give a try.

Using Without Back Cover and GPS Antenna...

I bought a LTE tablet from Craigslist and discovered it had a tiny screen crack, that fully cracked when I tried to fix the non-responsive screen.
I put the motherboard on my wifi screen looking at the extra connector, but not thinking about it, the whole time I was doing it.
The tablet seems to get a quick GPS lock but it hasn't left my driveway yet.
Any chance anyone has used a LTE model without the back cover and can say what the GPS lock is like?
If it comes to it I can cut the GPS antenna and tape it in place.

Where to solder 5V+ and ground on Amazon kindle Fire

Hi, trying to revive an old kindle fire.
I've charged the battery so that it's recognized but my usb port is really busted to the point where the solder pads are completely worn off. There is exactly one site that shows me how to add wireless charging which would be fantastic. The nova-labs post helps, but I can't figure out where to solder the 5V+ and the GND. The image is pretty dark and it seems that
Can anyone tell me where I can solder on this to add my wireless charging?
The nova pictures aren't too clear.

Internal USB cable socket broke off

Well, I was trying to be thrifty by replacing my 5t's battery, but when I got to step 12 in the ifixit guide -- remove the flex connector to the USB-C and headphone port, a chunk of the socket came out with it.
Does anyone know what the name/model of the socket is? I'd be willing to give it a go with a hot air gun and magnifying glass if it saves me having to buy a new phone...

Replace the entire subassembly.
Have the right tools and don't force connectors...
Remember out of circuit subassemblies are suspectable to ESD damage.
Found the connector on Alibaba and replaced it. Back to 100%, charging, data, and audio works.
