Hey guys,
Bought my tab today and now recognised that the homebutton is fine at all, but when u really light pressing it (for me on the right half side), there is a noise/sound appearing...
Anyone else can confirm that it's not just mine?
CHEERS
EDIT: As more as I checking this, I also see that the homebutton is quite a bit like more left than the cut in case seems to...
I'm talking about less than millimeters, but like I said, I don't want to have a "monday-product"

Same here, seems a bit loosy.
Tad bit of play. I wouldn't worry about it.
My home button is solid and perfectly placed. No idea what you guys are seeing.
Thanks guys for reply.
I decided to give it back and ordered a new one now. @sobge: U r the first one who confirms this in anyway. Maybe we both just to "perfectly" in this case or having a not as good one as the others.
Anyway we'll see and if it's still on new one, I'll just try to ignore it (even it's very hard for me personally )
Thanks guys
UPDATE: No problems here with my new Tab, so this seems to was a 'bad modell' then.

Im brand new to HTC products im usually the galaxy guy and the ATT rep convinced me that the ONE M8 would be the way to go today since my S4 got stolen last night ... however i am generally pleased with the device i was wondering if anyone else has issues with the keyboard in portrait orientation. Long story short the HIGHLY used keys on the left side of my keyboard will not recognize my input using my left thumb... i have to literally take my right thumb across the device to input the E, R, T, and sometimes even S keys... is this something I am doing wrong or does anyone else have issues like this ( seems like its almost not sensitive enough to read the input or something i can hit it 100 times with my left thumb and nothing but hit it once with my right and it takes it )... When i turn to landscape to type it seems to do alright but my habits usually keep me in portrait so this is a real irritant if you can imagine. Any thoughts at all or anyone else have a fix for this? Considering returning to the store tomorrow to explain my grievance. Side note... I have tried different keyboards from the play store with the same issue... :crying:
Sounds like a defective left thumb.

sounds like a defective device.
Dinstall screen touch test from play, it will show every touch point on you phone. Seems like you have a defective digitizer.

Someone told me that the M8 has a very active screen all the way to the edges... i think ive figured out that its my fat hands that are rolling onto the screen somewhere while trying to type text messages causing the device not to recognize my input. The way i hold the device i guess is the issue because even during calibration it gave me issues with the left sided letters.... so i guess i have to either find a new way to hold the device or get some kind of case to accommodate my fat hands and tight grip on the device .... any tips or tricks on how to hold these things when texting to keep my hands off the screen? I tend to hold the device more in my palms than fingers for safety im a bit clumsy and i think thats the issue.
I just started to notice this today. Has anyone had this issue or have it? I've had it about a month now.

Sticking to the finger? You mean it is not perfectly fixed?

Here's a video that shows disassembly and removal of the button assembly. It doesn't look like the switches would be the kind that would stick, so it's probably crud in the buttons. You could try to remove and clean the assembly, but if you are still in a warranty exchange period you might consider that.
I'm hoping that different color buttons come out soon. I'd like to change mine out for red, white, or blue.
Back on topic please... If you haven't anything constructive to say then please don't post at all... No one wants to see people arguing over something here. Regardless of who's thread this is the forum rules still apply to all.
Thread cleaned
I just confirmed this happening to me, but I think it's been happening for awhile. I'm going to warranty exchange because even without touching the volume button, it is constantly trying to lower itself as if I were holding the button down continuously. Serious glitch... Not only prevents listening to music, but also interferes with any other buttons/typing.
So I noticed my tablet wasn't really turning on when I pushed the power button. I took it apart, cleaned the contact points following a post I found on here, then the small metal connector flew off due to me loosing grip of the "tape" holding it on. I ordered a replacement part and I noticed there isn't a lot of info on how to change it, take it out, precautions to take or anything. My tablet is running the newest OS of android for the nexus 7, and is turned on. I would post a picture, but apparently I need to make 10 posts before I can do that...
My question (s) are:
1: Should I take out the battery to do this? I've seen a guy on youtube do that, and I don't know if that is a step I need to take.
2: How exactly does it come out? I've only seen one video of a guy taking it out and putting it back in. I couldn't see much due to the fact that where it connects is small. I want to make sure I don't break anything else.
and 3: I've heard people say that you need a "spludger" for this or something, I don't know what that is, but then again, I also heard someone else say you can use a toothpic to do the same thing. Is that safe?
Thanks for taking your time to read this, and I hope someone out there can help me out. I really just want to get the thing to turn back on with out me needing to plug it into the charger, or move the "power to the volume button" ect.
Any advice at all would be helpful.
I'm not sure what you worry about, it's an easy component to deal with.
Don't remove the battery, just disconnect its black plug.

I just never really tinkerd with something like this. I know it looks easy, but I never opened a zif seal or w/e its called. What exactly do I flip up?
I'm sorry for my "Noob" questions, I'm normally good with hardware stuff, but I want to just make sure I do this right.

No worries :good:
See the black flap?
Flip it up, slide out/in the connecting ribbon and flip it down to secure the connection.

Hello guys,
I haven't ordered my oneplus 5t yet as there seem to be little things that irritate me including the fact that the navigation buttons seem to be very close to each other. Is there a way to make them expand a bit more (preferably without the help of a 3rd party app)?
Thank you very much.
No :good:
I couldn't find a way yet. Frustrating
I dont have the phone but Im 100% sure you can customise it and have them on the left side, right side of the screen and even expand them.
Excited to get mine in a few days

Nope, I've received my phone 3 days after launch and there is currently no way.
The only thing you can do is swap the back a recents buttons, no expanding them.
While reading about this after getting the phone I don't find the spacing much of an issue. For one handed usage it works where they're at.
In fact, i think it's very much possible to put a spacing, or even change them.

You have to read yourself, since i don't have time to explain all the steps.
I've had my Honor 7X for 2 weeks now, and everything is working great! But whenever I tap or knock lightly on the back of the device around the upper half, particularly near the fingerprint scanner and camera, I can hear something rattling inside. I don't think anything is loose because when I shake the device up/down, sideways, there's no rattling sound. It's only when I tap or knock on the back towards the top. My camera and fingerprint scanner work no problem. Should I be concerned or is this normal? Thanks!
Volume or power buttons are the likely cause, they might have come loose. My Honor 7x is not having this issue, but it was common on the Nexus 5
Broooo I have the same problem as you, only saw this post now. I don't know if it supposed to be there or not.
Mine does this too, I already replaced my 7X twice and I still have the rattle. Seems to be normal.

Good to know, I don't even know when this started happening, probably when I first got it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have it too. Kind of sounds like it's coming from the volume and power buttons. Doesn't seem to affect performance at all though.

It's coming from the power button for you? Mine is coming from around the top half of the back of the phone, around the camera area. Tried to get a local repair shop to open it up and look at it but they wanted to charge me 15$ lol

I'm not sure if it's exactly the power button. I haven't been able to tell exactly where it is coming from, definitely the top half. The buttons just seem like they would be the loosest things to make a noise like that. And yeah $15 just to open it I'm good lol.

Both of my 7x's rattled around the top half near the camera as well since I got them. My power and volume buttons are tight and not moving around. Some other brands have phones that do the same thing with the rattle near the camera, so I guess it's just the camera module moving around a little bit. As long as everything is working normal, I guess it's nothing to worry about!
