[Q] Note 2 i317m DN3 V5 stuck on samsung logo - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Note 2 I317m
I'm trying to add DN3 v5 but after adding mod and rebooting i get stuck on the Samsung logo.
I downloaded the correct DN3 from here electron-team / ROM_NOTE2LTE/
I have the newest Philz CMW recovery
I did the clean, erase data, and Dalvik. After it didn't work I went back and did the clean.... 3 timed in a row then attempted to install the ROM again and it still gets stuck on Samsung logo.
I was running the newest LiguidSmooth until trying this ROM. Now even it gets stuck on loading screen. HELP.

check bootloader version

Make sure you have a 4.3 bootloader i had the same problem.

I had issues with this rom as well but im also sure that it is the bootloader

I had this problem and for some stupid reason I had to flash to 4.1.1 then 4.3 then HAD to flash with Philz recovery to get it to boot if you don't get a boot sound it didn't work

Hello All.
These are the specifics listed in regards to this issue. Try re-flashing and pick N7105 instead.
"Be Sure to Pick N7105 instead of I317 or I317M, otherwise you will stuck at "Samsung" glowing logo!!!"

Try flashing using twrp .. does the aroma installer start up when you flash the rom ?

Also wipe the internal. I flash the rom with twrp 2.7 and I am with 4.1.2 bootloader so I think you should be okay if you have older bootloader. What I did is wipe eveything, dalvik, cache, data, internal in TWRP. Then during installatin, i did not choose wipe data and then select what I want to install. Then when it asks for reboot, I said yes, noticed if you did not, the phone will get stuck with black screen and I had to pull the battery to reboot. During the first boot up, it will take about 5-10 min with samsung logo and colors flying across the screen. Then it should proceed with setup. I did notice once where I had issue where it will get stuck in samsung logo after the flying color screen but after pulling the battery out, it rebooted fine.

how i fixed it

I was having the same issue. I ended downloading the latest twrp and was able to flash it ok. The only problem now was that my baseband was unknown, so cellular data wasn't working.
I downloaded the stock rom (I317MVLUDNF1_I317MOYADNF1_RWC), mine is a Rogers' phone. Got everything working again with the stock rom, radio was back. I tried flashing DN3 again but this time used this ROM: DN3_v5_N7105_by_E-Team and it worked just fine.
I haven't really had any issues so far. Hope this helps.

Thank you

I ended up re flashing back to the stock rom, although I using I317MVLUDNF3_I317MOYADNF3_RWC. I was away for a few days and that stock got my through it. There is something wrong with the update that update and my phone as it causes it to shut off/freeze after begin locked for a long time. Hopefully that doesn't happen with the DN3.
Anyways, today I added the newest TWRP, and did the data clearing in it, then flashed with DN3_v5_N7105_by_E-Team. This time it worked. I wonder if it didn't the first time because I was using Philz or if it was because I was going from LiquidSmooth to DN3. Either way if anybody has issues I would suggesting reverting to the stock ROM then doing TWRP then DN3.
Thank you all for your help.

FYI, that step does not apply to DN3 V5, that only applies to DN3 V3.1.1 I know because I had to re-read the flashing steps 3 times before cluing in that mid way through it switched to instructions for V3.1.1 and previous versions. I could not figure out why it was not prompting me until I tried flashing v3.1.1.

guys,,,,am also having the same issue.
my model is N7100 - and i wana flash dn3 v5 using twrp 2.8 .
but the thing is that after flashing the dn3,it got stuck at samsung logo.(the one which shows galaxy note 2) not the glowing one
do i have any solution ? please guys

Need help guys. im a previous note 2 user with sprint. now i have a note for at&t and i rooted it with autoroot. everything went fine. i was trying to install custom recovery i tried goomanager but the site was down. then i tried cwm via odin but when i boot in recovery all i got was a scrolling galaxy note 2 screen then blank screen. then i tried twrp using odin again now im stucked at the SAMSUNG SCREEN!! i can get to download mode. can anyone point me where i can boot this phone even to stock rom?. this is my work phone and i am in deep sh*t. i was on 4.1.2 with l317ucam3a firmware.
thank you
flash stock rom via odin
if you can get into recovery, do a factory reset, and reboot, and it should come up for you; you may just want to do a battery pull first and see if that does it

[Q] Can't Install Omega Rom v23 Stuck At Samsung Logo, Tried all ways (i think)

Hello, I am on a n7100.
I firstly flashed my stock rom 4.1.2 from odin.
My phone works well with stock.
I have downloaded the omega rom v23 from here.
I firstly installed MJ5 Bootloader via Odin 3.9.
Then Flashed "TWRP recovery" via Odin 3.9 again.
I had already put omega rom zip to my external sd card.
So I have wiped all the ways i could ever do from twrp wipe section. (All except external data storage)
Then selected install zip, Omega logo appeared awesome.
I press next, Omega Rom Installation, Full wipe, Install Omega Rom, Default Installation, Next, Install!
It installs everything correctly.
Then, Reboot Device is already ticked, I press End.
Twrp says rebooting...
And Samsung GALAXY Note II GT-N7100 logo comes.
And never goes off. Boot stuck.
Please help me i dont know where i am failing at. I made way too much research, tried way too many install orders, please show me the true way...
I think you should try flashing another ROM and see how it goes.. Mine already got stuck at boot because of multiple causes... In my case it was mostly kernel issues... But I dont think that applies for you....

I had alliance rom v5.2 installed 5 days ago. It has 4.3 interface and note 3 apps aswell. But Omega Rom, I cant install. Now i got 4.3 stock rom. My bootloader updated with knox. Warranty is also 1 but still omega rom causes same issue. The thing i wonder is, If i install stock rom with odin, does it also reinstall the original bootloader?
Also, after getting newer stock rom, i cannot flash the mj5 bootloader anymore. It says it is outdated. I guess i have MK9 from now on. And cant go to MJ5. I dont even have no idea anout how to compare them. I am a noob rom flasher. But I am not a noob googler. Even so, I cannot find definite knowledge about MJ5 bootloader
Usually when you flash trough Odin you get the bootloader that comes with the ROM... But perhaps they added some aditional verification or something like that to make sure you don't revert the bootloader to the old one (without knox)... Even then I don't understand why some ROMs work and others don't... Acording to Omega thread you did everything right... Have you ever used Mobile Odin instead of Odin?
No, I have never tried Moblie Odin.
Edit: I am back on Alliance Rom, i won't probably check here later on, u do not have to reply anymore.

[Q] I Cant'flash ANY custom rom on my Note 2???

Hey guys so I had my phone at 4.1.2 all stock everything. Then I decided to root and install the DN3 rom as I Flash the rom the AROMA installer DID NOT open, it just said it flashed correctly and I have to re boot. After Rebot I got stuck at boot loop . I flashed STOCK rom 4.3, and same thing everytime I flash ANY CUSTOM ROM DN3,phoenix,omega,jellykat) Aroma doesnt open but it says it flashed. I always get bootloop or stuck at samsung logo upon flashing any custom roms.
also when I flash a custom rom before i reboot, recovery says either im not rooted, or it has to fix root.
Please help me! I flashed stock rom waaaay tooo many times just trying to get a custom rom. Btw Im in 4.3 Jellybean , XXUEML3 Bootloader
I tried changing my recovery from Philz, CWM. and TWRP Same thing every single time. Tried Downloading from other links. Tried rooting with Dr. Ketan and CF root. Tried using lower Odin versions.

just a random thought, have you done all the wipes correctly? like internal sd card, dalvik and cache and when in philz there's another option to "wipe to install new rom"?
And philz does ask that phone is not rooted do you want to fix it,click on NO
You said you are 4.3 stock ROM,have you rooted it correctly, using dr ketan's tool?

1.Yup, All wipes done including the wipe in philz that says wipe to install new rom
2. I tried that too, still got either boot loop or stuck at samsung logo. I also tried the YES option to fix, but still stuck, or boot loop :/
3. What do you mean by that? Yes I think I did since i have alot of apps that needs root and it runs smooth (TitaniumBackup, LuckyPatcher, BusBox, etc.)

Let me know if flashing one of the NON aroma ROMS works out for you,if you are interested in NON touch wiz ROMS then AOSB rom is good as well, runs off 4.4.2 ,i use it from time to time when i get bored of TW so i keep going back and forth between TW and aosb. Good luck
Err I got the same problem. Only happens on stock roms. Thankfully AOSP roms work but I'd like to use the S-Pen features. Tried like everything, even lost my Titanium Backups accidentally :crying:
Just another thought, why don't you try and flash one of the prerooted stock ROMs which are Knox free. Also they don't have Aroma. Flash using Philz 5.15.0. Hope you succeed. If it boots up succesfully, you can try other ROMs as well. And always do a MD5 checksum before installing just to be double sure what we are installing is not corrupted. Wishing you success!

Hey guys! I did what you guys said but NOTHING INSTALLED! :/ I always get a Fail or Error. Tried Flashing 2 different non-aroma roms, 1 was succesful other one had a failure/error while flashing. But still... both had me on Bootloop and Stuck Samsung logo.
I also check md5 before i flash something. About the MD5... I notice something everytime I flash, I get this "checking md5 : md5 not found : skipping md5 checking" something like that? then the error will start from there, then it wont flash the rom. :/
That's strange. I rooted after installing official 4.3 OTA and never had any problem installing a custom ROM. Using Root explorer check in system/app if you have any Knox bits remaining. Maybe it can be the reason why ROMs aren't installing on your phone. Even I have the ML3 bootloader. Also when you're stuck on Samsung Logo after flashing ROM wait for 10 mins or so and then long press the poeer button which will lead you to the Recovery mode. There again wipe cache and dalvik and reboot and select no when prompted something about lost root.

Also I've noticed upon installing different ROMs, after the Samsung GT-7100 logo the LED lights up first and then stays on for a long time, then you get the menu and back keys lighting up, this only happens when the ROM is succesfully flashed. I've just noticed this while trying out different ROMs, may not be true on every phone. So when I notice this I just let the phone boot up and wait for the Setup screen to show up.

Yes I know that problem. Your system files are corrupted.
Search at sammobile for the latest rom of your country and flash it with odin 3.09.
After that you can root it , flash cwm and majeca backup.

Here is my sad little story!
I started out when i tried DN4 for my Note 2. it worked like a charm. This is way back in 2015 or something. And after a while i saw new ROMS popping up and decided to try them. Followed all the instructions like wipes resets, post installation wipes for cache and so on...then KABOOM goes my Baseband and IMEI. After a lot of man hour on reading and digging posts i found that the patched MJ9 could fix my "emergency calls only" problem. But didn't work on any other ROMS except for stock firmware and DN4. ever since I have been trying to get any other ROM work on my note 2 and i Cant seem to fix it. Always the Baseband vanishes and IMEI goes null. Any thoughts on the same guys?
Do you think there is hope for my little guy?

[Q] Saberkat 1.5 Install stuck at Samsung Screen

As the title says i am trying to install the Saberkat 1.5 rom on my SGH-I317. I am using Philz recovery and i am on the 4.4.2 bootloader. I have gone through the Saberkat 1.5 forum post, but i can not find anyone who is having the same issue as myself.
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide me.

I had a similar problem when I first tried to flash DN3 v5 4.4.2 (from Skynote Air 4.3 w/4.1.2 bootloader). The problem was that I was using an old version of Philz (5.5) and it would always stick at the "Samsung" screen after the flash. I switched to Philz 6.41 and it worked fine after that. The only problem is that the backups are not compatible (6.41 can't restore 5.5 and 5.5 can't restore 6.41).
I will attempt this when I get home, will advise on the outcome.

[q] phone wont boot help

HEY GUYS,
So I am upgrading to the note 4 next week. Sending my sister my note 2 and decided to leave the wonderful Community Rom and restore it back to stock for her to receive updates and not worry about root issues. I rebooted into my philz recovery. Flashed my old MC2_STOCK_with_COUNT_RESET-20130511 zip I had on my SD card which had always worked in the past, and succeeded. Then it rebooted to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 splash screen and sat there for over 15 minutes never booting up.
Went to PC, opened Odin 1.85, and flashed several L900 Kies firmware and they failed. Finally, found one that flashed successfully, KIES_HOME_L900VPALJ1_L900SPTALJ1_265523_REV04_user_low_ship.tar. After successful flash, it auto reboots from download mode and has been stuck on the splash screen again for over 15 minutes. What do I do now? I have never had it hang up like this for this long, and had issues like these reverting to stock when I have wanted to in the past. Only thing that is different, is I have been on the 4.4.2 rom and these are probably 4.1.2 or 4.3 versions I am flashing.
Please help, I only have a limited time to fix this before I have to ship it off. Thanks guys

HEY GUYS,
So I am upgrading to the note 4 next week.

Have you tried to boot into recovery and wipe data and cache?

It does not boot into recovery. Only a splash screen of Samsung. Recovery does not seem to exist at this point.
I'd say start there.
Flash a custom recovery with Odin and then flash a stock rooted rom like Rwilco's mostly stock
Working after this flash
Thanks for your help, I went to this link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2780984
Downloaded [LINK][ROM][ODIN][TAR]SPH-L900 NE2 (NE2 Modem/Kernel/ROM - Stock) and flashed it in Odin 1.85 and it booted and is updated and everything. Finally! Thanks
