does anyone know if an ext calibrated mic would address an app like Sound Meter if the mic is TRRS?
And be able to track true spl up to 120 or so?

Hi All
Perhaps a dopey question, but...
My TP2 has an odd habit of changing the system volume by itself. I set it to 100% and some time later, i find it changed to 40%. I thought it might be an app (MP3 player or something) tethered to the sys volume, but no - it seems to be a quirk.
I do find that sometimes i just can't toggle the volume for the earpiece quite loud enough on some calls using the side volume rocker - for all else on this standard ROM it is just fine.
So, i wondered f there was a reg tweak to slightly increase just the earpiece volume?
Obviously it would still be relieant on the sys vol, but could be a little louder?
Anyone heard of something specifically for the TP2?
Cheers to all

Can anyone teach me how to decrease the volume of the Earpiece receiver?
I am using Asus P535, I have changed the registry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Volume, change the value "Volume"= to 0
but it is too loud for me.
I am attempting to measure the dB levels of a speaker outside my house. I think our microphone is capped out at 90dB. I am using Sound Meter from the play store. Not sure if it is a hardware limit or an app limit. Any one else have experience with this? Thanks in advance!
Hey, Guys!
I was wondering if someone would know where i can find the registry entry responsable for the mic volume?
My Lumia 930 has a issue with its microphone (the microphone recorded sound is really really low) and i thought about it and there may be a way to fix it by software, cause i don't wanna send it to the repair center.
(Oh, it's clearly a hardware problem).
(off, but related) i want to increase the amount of time the music controls stay on the screen after i press the volume rocker, been through a lot of registry entries, no luck so far. any ideas?
I had similar idea, but instead of increasing sensitivity I thought of simply changing the microphone that is used for hands-free talk from the malfunctioning top one to the bottom one. Anyone found that registry key?
use old nokia camera for video rec.
There is no such a thing like microphone listed in registry
"the microphone recorded sound is really really low" - HW fault
Hello,
I have a microphone issue. Many people don't ear me much when i do phone calls.
I have the problem with the built in mic and the external mic. I tried 2 different external mic and the built in mic alone.
The microphone level is too low. I did a test with a voice record app on the unit. The result is that i can ear myself but the sound is very very low.
So how i can do to boost the microphone level ?
Thank you for the help and sorry for my english

The answer to this question is in this forum, please use search and you'll find the solution to your problem.
Here's one, but you will find more when you search: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3246277
As you can see, the real solution is a physical change, and one you may not be equipped to do.
I am unaware of a setting you can change to at least have the microphone a bit louder.
