[Q] Network data is not working? - LG Optimus G (International)

I upgrade my firmware to kitkat via OTA today, after i install i have reception from carrier, but no network data, i tried soft reset, hard rest, changing modem image via recovery (all F180k l s) but none of them worked for me. Then I downgrade to 4.1 and i had data again. Then again phone says you have new software, i tried upgradin with KDZ this time(via tool that check your imei and gives you correct kdz) and still the same situation. Do you have any idea to make data working in kitkat?

Check the APNs.

Thank you sir, that was the problem.

Network Data Hosed

I've gotten my phone into a state where I see signal bars, I can make calls and send texts, but no LTE or H+ is displayed and if I try do anything involving the internet it says there's no network connection. Wifi works just fine.
Here's how I got into the predicament. I should have learned my lesson from last time I flashed a Verizon ROM, but I didn't, and I flashed SkyNote RC9Z-3.9.1. Data works just fine in THAT ROM, but any subsequent ROM flashed after that... the network data is completely HOSED. I've tried enabling and disabling network data in settings. I've tried flashing the Devil kernel. I've tried restoring several different ROMS from nandroid backups. All restore fine and all have completely non-working network data. Last time I ran into this I had to flash the stock image in Odin to fiz the issue. This time however, that didn't work. The images flashed successfully, but upon reboot all I got was a a welcome screen bootloop of the samsung swirly logo and the T-Mobile logo.
I'm guessing this has something to do with the 4.3 bootloader? I'm downloading T889UVUCMK7_T889TMBCMK7_TMB.zip from SamMobile site and boy is it taking FOREVER! 7 hours left on the download. My thinking thoug is that If I unzip this new 4.3 firmware and flash it with Odin (or Kies if I absolutle have to) my device will start behaving again, and Network data will work, and I can go about ROM flashing and hopping again (though I'm gonna stay away from those Verizon ROMs let met tell you!).
Does anyone else have any other suggestions on what I can do to get my data back or to patch my bootloader to the 4.3 version? I was looking at this thread and wondering if it's safe to follow this procedure for patching once I have installed the 4.3 stock image:

[E971] No data on JB modem after OTA. EFS restore doesn't help

I've been having issues with my E971 on Rogers ever since I tried to flash an E975 ROM on it some time back. The phone is unable to connect to the network and shows 'Service Disabled'. I am unable to manually add an APN or search for networks. If I take the SIM out of the phone it shows my IMEI but if the SIM is in the phone it shows as null.
I used a KDZ to go back to the stock Jelly Bean version of Android and still had the same issue. I thought it might be an issue with the modem so I rooted the phone and flashed houstonn's Rogers JB modem and still couldn't solve the issue. If I flash the ICS modem on the 4.1.2 ROM I'm able to connect to the network but WiFi doesn't work. I tried installing various different AOSP based custom firmwares and was able to get data using the ICS modem but again no WiFi. Using the JB modem on an AOSP ROM would give be an external modem(undefined) subsystem crash. At this point I got my hands on a stock ICS bin file for the E971 and flashed it using LGNPST. On 4.0.4 both my data and my WiFi worked so I backed up my EFS manually using adb and ran the OTA updates on the phone. Unfortunately once I had updated to 4.1.2 the network stopped working and once again I got the 'Service disabled' messaged. Manually restoring my EFS didn't solve the issue.
It seems that for some reason my phone is unable to work with the JB modem. I find it odd that after restoring to stock the OTA would end up breaking it like that. I'm not sure if I'm backing up and restoring the EFS wrong or if the phone is just broken in some way. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

[Q] Connection Issue with Mobile Data - Modem Problem

I've run into a bit of a pickle with my root attempt on one of my LG G3s. The first went without a hitch while the 2nd didn't go so well. In order to flash CM12, I followed the LG G3 stock flash guide from hyleton to downgrade from Lollipop to 4.4.2. I then flashed CM12 with TWRP and hit a snag where the mobile data connection would try to establish, and the phone would black screen requiring me to pull the battery. The only way to get passed the CM12 setup would be to boot without the TMO SIM card.
Because I considered this a failed port, I flashed back to stock 4.4.2 but can't connect to the TMO mobile data network, but I am successfully able to get passed initial setup with the SIM Card in. IMEI and mobile number are still registered to the device, so at this point I'm assuming the issue is with a bad modem flash that occurred when I went back to stock 4.4.2. When I check the baseband version, the number/letter combo is quite large and doesn't seem to match with your typical Baseband versions, hence why I think I have a corrupt modem.
I can't find any modem software packages out there for the US TMO LG G3 variant, so was hoping someone could point me in the right direction or otherwise help provide some guidance on how to get my data connection back.
Hey,
I've got the exact same problem. Did you manage to repair it?
Thanks.
C.
You could try asking for a modem package for your variant here on the forums, otherwise you could try a custom ROM and wiping everything even the modem before flashing, most ROMs come with a modem built in.

Mobile data not working +STOCK ROM

Hi everyone,
I have LG G3 d855 (Europe version). I bought it online, not at any network. I had an lollipop update really fast (Poland). Yesterday I rooted the phone, it worked fine, and installed the BlissPop rom. I missed the Quick Circle option though, so today I installed the ChupaChups rom for lollipop. And now my problem: The mobile data connection is not working. I can make calls, send texts, connect via wifi, but the data connection over the network is not working at all. I went back to stock - I downloaded and installed the European version using kdz method, it didn't help, so I did it over LG Flash Tool. It still does not work. Do you have any ideas, what to do with this? I feel like I'm going to cry, I'm very nervous about it, because I use mobile data almost all the time...
Maybe there's something wrong with the modem driver? I really hope someone is able to help me. Thank you in advance!
Edit: Maybe I used the wrong stock rom? I don't even have the option to update to lollipop anymore.

Seems like a modem baseband was flashed somehow.
Flash the modem back to the correct stock version you had and it should fix the problem

Do you know where I can find those modem drivers?
Edit: I checked which version of software I should use with my IMEI no. It's 20h. Would it be enough to flash the stock rom over kdz, or do I have to find somewhere the modem driver for this version? If yes, do you have any idea where can I find it?
Thanks.

Not sure.
I have the G2 and we have these files in our Development Section where you find ROM files etc.
Should be there as flashable zip files in the same section for the G3

Ok, thanks! Last question before I do the final step - I have the ROM I am supposed to have. I rooted the phone, installed TWRP. I've also found the modem driver for my rom. And the question is - how should I flash the driver? Should I mount system or do anything apart from just installing the zip? Should I clear any cache?
@CaPlanePourMoi Wipe the modem partition in Recovery and then just flash the modem zip which will replace it. If that doesn't work, you can go back to BlissPop that includes it's own Modem and install Xposed for 5.1 Super-Alpha and the QuickCircle Mod for AOSP, all 3 of those I'm using with no issues whatsoever!
So I installed the modem driver (20h) yesterday, but it didn't help. I decided to install the BlissPop ROM, and mobile data (with LTE) works just fine. I will go back to the problem on Saturday and keep you up to date. Thanks!
Update
Update: Hey everyone - it seems like I didn't find any solution. I tried to go back to the ROM based on stock again (it was Cloudy this time), but the modem still didn't work. It was acutally working for a few seconds (I had 4G connection), but then again it was lost and it didn't connect anymore. Wifi works fine. Do you have any ideas on how I can flash the modem correctly? And how can I uninstall the modem that I have now in recovery? I didn't do that, because I cannot find this option.
Thanks in advance!

I have a very similar issue
my LG G3 is the D855 on AT&T , and was working fine on Cloudy 2.2 or 2.3 Lolipop without any issues!
All of a sudden last Friday 5/22/2015, mobile data stopped working, but WiFi is still okay.
I just did a full wipe, updated APN, and the issue still there
I haven't change any major things in probably 2 months, not sure what's going on.
Finally, contacted AT&T, and made sure that they remove from the network,a put my back(troubleshooting). As well as changing the sim, and APN, but nothing worked!!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
UPDATE: So my last attempt, I contacted my provider AT&T, and they requested to try a default APN settings, even though what I used was working fine.
I did, and immediately my mobile data was back!!
Everything is working back as normal, and for some reason the network APN required updating
Did almost the same few days ago! I have finally solved my problem. Here's the explanation:
In Poland we had a network called "Era", a few years ago it was bought by T-Mobile. I searched the internet for T-Mobile APN settings in Poland and it didn't work. I have also found the APN settings for the old network, "Era" and surprisingly it's working. I don't know why T-Mobile settings don't work while they do for other people (and at this point I'm too afraid to ask. )
HI, i have the same problem on my d855 with wind (i'm in italy), i was rooted with custom rom and when i came back to stock i lose data connection. What i have to do? what do u mean for restore default apn? the default of my carrier? or the default for g3?

(D852)Cannot connect to cellular network.

hello,
I have installed a custom rom onto my lg g3 d852 model. But after many failed attempts to correct it, my phone will not stay conected to my mobile network. My phone is now running MM 6.0 on the koodo network. I believe that this problem may have started because of a setting I may have changed in the hidden menu.
Ive tried:
-downgrading back to LP
-Switching sim cards
-updating firmware
-checked the imei (still says its there)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I have found a temporary solution. I switched to HSPA only in network options, this got my phone connected back to the network at least for now. I would like to have access to all frequencies. Any suggestions?
Bump...
Which custom ROM did you install, and does the problem persist after a factory reset? If it's merely a setting you changed the restet will put it back to default. If it's a modem setting you changed in the hidden menu, a clean flash of the ROM will get you back to where you started.

I made a mistake, the rom is a stock rom MM of Koodo/Telus provider that I downloaded off of xda... I can link to the rom if necessary. I have factory reset several times and tried Fulmics LP and MM and this version I'm currently using getting the same results.
If I were in your shoes, I'd do one of two things. First, I'd try the nand back I made when I got the phone, before I'd flashed anything. If you don't have a good back up, one that includes the efs, modem and bootloader, then you need to revert to stock using the factory kdz image. There's a tutorial here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
I shall give this tutorial a try. Thanks.
