Firstly, make sure you are in 15.4.A.0.23 and above.
1. Head over to this site. Download the latest build for Nicki.
2. Extract boot.img from the downloaded zip and flash in fastboot.
3. Wipe /data and /cache through CWM.
4. Put the CM11 zip in any storage then flash it in CWM.
5. (Optional) Download GApps from here. Make sure it's for 4.4.4. Then flash it in CWM.
If you are having root permission problems, download the latest SuperSU flashable zip from here then flash it in CWM. Disable the default Superuser app (it can be found in Developer Options by tapping the Build Number 7 times) in CM11 and untick the box in SuperSU that states "Respect CM root settings."
That's it. Hope I helped.

I don't think so. They removed it because it doesn't work for most devices.

for anyone interested, I have found that it is due to our devices lacking gyro.

CM 11.0 (By Maclaw) Now i want to go back to CM 10.2

After CM 11 installation and now i cant go back to CM 10.2. When i try to install zip from sd card it says that sd card is not mounted. When i try to mount SD card via CWM it says "error mounting SD card"
This happens with CWM-based recovery 6.0.2.5
With CWM-based recovery 6.0.4.5 every version of CM 10.2 comes with some strange error.
Whats the problem?
And yeah. Sorry for my awful english.
Try with flashing temporary recovery from built-in cwm recovery
and over temporary cwm flash cm 10.2

Strange error? Deleted assert in updater-script yet?
Sent from my GT-I8160 using Tapatalk
I dont remember it well but i had same problem (i couldnt install any .zip). By trail-and-error method i found that zips from other sdcard worked (weirdly, after that .zips started working on old scdard aswell xD)
Can anyone post step by step what should i do if i want to flash back to CM 10.2 ? Please
Method 1a
1. Dont flash to cm 11 to avoid xD
JK
Method 1b
1. Edit updater-script inside zip by deleting assert lines
2. Download temporqry cwm 6 by shaan
3. Boot to recovery and flash temporary cwm
4. From temporary cwm flash cm 10.2 with edited updater script.
If this is not working try.with this:
Method 2:
1. Move meta-inf folder from cm 11 to cm 10.2 zip but leave cm 10.2 updater script
2. Flasg that modified zip
If not working try deleting assert in updater script in method 2
I hope something will help

Stock Rom
Just flash your stock Jelly Bean Rom via odin, then CM.

EDIT: BTW does anyone knows why speaker in incoming/outgoing calls doesnt work as it should? When i press speaker button the sound switches to speaker but its so low its like w/o speaker. And the only way to hear someone talking with speaker turned on is to keep phone close to your ear. That only occurs in incoming/outgoing calls, music/sounds etc etc. works perfectly.

I think it's easier, to:
Step by step:
1-Go to CM 11 Recovery
2- Do a full wipe (data, cache,)
3-Reboot and go to download Mode
4- Conect to PC and flash stock JB via Odin
5-after first boot reboot to stock recovery, make full wipe (on stock recovery)
6-Flash Temporaty CWM from SD
7-Full wipe (optional)
8- flash CM
9-flash Gapps
10- Reboot and enjoy!.

takes too much time, and sometimes some people need mobile methods,
i think i asked someone to delete assert and rox said to use temp cwm 6 and he managed to go back to cm102(or 10.1) :/
1 more solution
1. Flash stock kernel using ukf
2. Boot to recovery and flash temporary cwm
3. Flash cm 10.2/1

[Q] cm11 goomanager install twrp but cant replace cwm

As the title said, I just flashed a custom rom into my device ( CM11 kitkat 4.4.2)
Its the first time i root and flash my device
So now, goo manager told me that there is an update available for my device, i follow the instruction of it by downloading it
after that it pop up saying that my device need to have an open script recovery, (I searched youtube, they usually use twrp to update the CM custom ROM), so press yes and it started to download + install
There's a small pop up that saying I have installed twrp on my device, but when i press on reboot into recovery, it shows CWM recovery, even I try reboot into recovery by using ROM Manger.
How do I solve this ?
I just want to install TWRP and uninstall CWM as they said TWRP works better with CM version ?
and one small question, can i delete the zip file that i use to flash the ROM in my external sdcard, and the zip file that i have to use to update after flashing them or updating them ?

Cause you need to reflash your recovery. If you downloaded a zip file boot in CWM and flash the recovery zip file.If you downloadeded .tar.md5 file you need to put your phone into download mode ,open odin on your laptop and flash the recovery file (you need to transfer the .tar.md5 file to your laptop).Well you shouldn't delete your current ROM zip file to be honest you should have atleast have one ROM zip file (with the appropriate add ons needed ) just incase you run into trouble you can always flash the ROM from scratch (incase you don't have a back up of it on your sd card) I always keep one touch wiz ROM and one CM11 ROM zip file along with zip files of philz touch and twrp recovery (i don't do nandroid backups-personal choice) on my sd card.

Correct, that's how one replaces their existing recovery with another recovery. At end of flashing the zip file ,go back to main menu and click on "reboot recovery" ,You'll see your new recovery

Thanks you really helped me a lot
sorry for late reply as my replies are limited because im just new to here
By the way, one more question is is there anyway i can flash back to my stock rom but remain rooted?
and what if i want to unroot it
because i found this ROM quite buggy as in the camera app, i am a person that will take picture everyday, panaroma is quite important to me
i found this camera is very very very poor haha
furthermore, whenever in a skype call, i will hear nothing if i plugged in my earphone o.o
so i will probably flash back to stock rom but remain rooted is case of flashing other more stable rom

device is unrooted after cm12.1 ROM installation

Hello guys
I havea problem after CyanogenMod 12.1 installation on i9082
Everything works fine but
I can't have root access, it seems that the device got unrooted after the ROM
I have tried to enable developer options
And I checked root access in the setting to Apps and ADB
but I still get unrooted messages when I try to open an application that requires root
Also I tried to flash supersu from CM recovery but the installation stops in the middle
I tried several different versions of supersu but still the same problem.

What do you mean? Did you installed twrp manager app? Not that app, you need to flash Twrp/cwm.zip file through cm recovery. Or find the cwm/twrp.tar file and flash by Odin.

check it under Grand Android Development thread, there are twrp and cwm in zip file, can be flash through recovery. Same thread with cm12.1 that you flashed.
Flash superuser zip.
Your Rom is Pre-Rooted But you need to flash latest Superuser.zip to gain Root accesses .

Try type this in dialer *#1234#* or *#*#1234#*#*. If any of 5hose doesn't work, visit supersu thread.
OK I tried these lines but nothing happened can you give me link to supersu thread?
cm12 has root disabled by default. Activate it from developer options.
Or you can flash supersu

You can't install Chinese Rom on Global version right?
I have EU rom, rooted and flashed TWRP, on Telegram they say to me to only download this beta, put on internal and flash, like a rom, and I will have this, is that try? To follow this steps:
OTA Update on Rooted Devices
1. Download Full Recovery OTA ZIP
2. Place in internal storage
3. Boot to twrp
4. Mount System and Vendor if not already mounted
5. Flash the ROM, and Don't reboot.
6. Flash magisk
7. Close AVB
8. Open file explorer inside twrp
9. Navigate to /system_root/system and check for file named "recovery-from-boot.p" and delete the file.
10. Reboot

Followe the steps and the phone keeps booting in Xiaomi logo all time and loose TWRP recovery, any ideas how to solve it
gusmas, mate, you have to boot in bootloader, and again flash TWRP or other recovery.
It happen to me also... I do not follow those steps, cause do not know about it.
Please, would someone be so kind to explain how to do - Close AVB?
Thanks in advance. Regards to all.

Only this TWRP version got the feature for that built-in: https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...overy-twrp-recovery-redmi-note-8-pro-t4033695
It's in Advanced > Close AVB > check the 1st option only > swipe.
