Modem recommendation E988 - LG Optimus G Pro

Hi,
I am looking for modem for E988 which can run on CM 11. The issue is that my phone is not going to Deep sleep mode and i suspect it is the modem which is causing it.
I have literally tried modems listed in diff threads. Some have resulted in bootloop. but issue still persists. Would be great if someone can recommend a modem.

Wifi Issues

So I recently got back into the country and I had thought to update my CM nightly to the latest revision and I have run into some really weird wifi issues. Currently my wifi is unable to find any networks and I have even tried installing different wifi scanners from the market to see if any can detect any and they all fail to. Yes I have tried searching various threads but the only similar issue(find 0 networks) seemed to have magically solved by trying to add a new network and it just connected, which did not work for me.
Surprisingly turning my phone into a portable wifi hotspot still works which makes me think it is not a hardware issue but I may be wrong. I have tried going back to my previous backups of my roms and none of them seem to be detecting anything. I have also tried various radios and I am currently on the one listed below. If anyone knows the solution to my problem it would be great.
Rom : CM 7 Nightly build 92
Baseband: 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26M
Kernel: CM Stock 2.6.35.13
Any help is greatly appreciated thanks.
Flash superwipe through recovery and then flash a fresh rom. See if that fixes it.

Wow the Superwipe worked when normal formats didn't. Thanks a lot!

[Q] modem talk...

just wanting to know if we could run different modems, let say for instance a eh17 modem on a ec05 ROM? Would my phone function normally?....because I'm seeming to be get my best phone reception with eh17 modem, but just rather wait for an official source for gingerbread seems close though lol

Yes. the modem is separate from the ROM itself. Any modem will work on any ROM. Here is a link of all available modems... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1123103
Is it just me, or is Sprint disabling modems intermitantly that are newer than EC02? My Sprint phone wants to update EH10 to EC02 when I check updates, and if I use anything newer, after a while the Modem goes dead without a new Odin reflash. All the way up to EH17 it does this. I just found a Rom with no sprint spy ID ware (which is the only way I can think they're doing this) and have gone back to EC02, but will try EH17 again after getting the phone back up. Just curious if anyone else is having this issue.
The symptoms are, phone will be showing up as Airplane mode, no matter what is done to enable the phone, it will always be disabled. The modem version shows up as unknown in the about app. The only fix is to Odin the modem again.

Hmm.. not sure how that would happen, but I haven't had that issue. Then, I also haven't tried to force any kind of OTA update in a long time (I do get random automatic PRL updates though)

I've had no issues with my phone since upgrading the ROM with the Sprint spyware removed. I can only assume that Sprint is disabling Epic Phones with 2.3 ROMs that they can still control through their spyware.

Help : Cant restore ATT modem

so i had taken the plunge and converted my e980 into a e980H
post then whoever i call from the phone keep saying that my voice is all muffled up i figured this should be an easy fix via flashing the ATT modem file , booted to CWM and tried doing that , showed success , but on booting back showed the same old baseband
so fired up the TOT and flashed it completely like 4 times and still nogo shows the old e980H modem , rerooted and factory reset multiple times and still tried flashing, didnt help
the LG Support tool says i have the latest firmware and wont do anything for me, how can i fix this. unable to effectively use my phone as a phone here

If you are looking at your baseband version through the settings on your phone, the baseband version is the same for all versions of the G Pro, even though the actual files are different. If you flashed it through CWM and it didn't come up with any errors it should have flashed correctly. Make sure that you flashed the right modem file. Has anyone told you that your voice is muffled since you flashed the modem file?
well i had flashed the e980H rom and since then had complaints, i flashed the ATT modem and still had complaints from one person, then kept looking at details in the about screen and after multiple tries got paranoid in trying to fix.
there were no errors while trying to flash the same, situation seems better now, am enjoying the battery friendly rom but a little bugged why cant the rom properly update the modem once flashed correctly.

No Cell Service

i restored my E980 via the LG FlashTool to 4.1.2 this morning after using the XitROM 4.4.2 ver 1.7 for a few weeks. The phone started to lag pretty badly, so i figured i would start from scratch. Now i have no Cell service
i've restored the phone numerous times, tried using a custom firmware, manually set the APN settings, and no matter what i do have have no service
anyone have a fix for this?
Maybe flash baseband for e980. Cmiiw

[Q] Problem with Signal/Service - weak Signal, breakdowns

my device now: i9195, I9195XXUCNE6-DBT
I experience weak signal and many connection dropdowns. When this occured first, after i upgraded f4ktion Kernel 1.3.6 to 1.4.5 and
an older version of Carbon Rom (4.2.2) to 4.3 Carbon Rom. Until than everything was fine, flash of rom and kernel did not made any problem.
Btw i used Odin3 3.09 and clean install (step by step like in the guides) all the time.
After some days this realy annoyed me, so i went back to the older Carbon and kernel - problem still occurs.
So i went back to stock rom I9195XXUBML4-DBT (original was UBML4) - problem still existing.
Some time later f4ktion 1.5 and Carbon 4.4.4 was available, so i tried this..still no solution.
Now i am back to stock and updated to I9195XXUCNE6-DBT, same problem.
Some research told me many ne stuff to know..like flashing modem only. I tried some, nothing helped.
After hours of pointless googleing i noticed something on my phone. When i dont type the pin, i have normal signal. As soon as i type the pin
and "activate" my simcard, the signal strength drops. So i googled again and found this:
[Bug Watch] Android 4.3 Radio Bugs Causing Cell Connection Drops On Some Nexus 4 Handsets, Fixes In Sight (not allowed to post links)
I changed the network type to WCDMA only - it helped for some minutes(not many..maybe 2-3). I changed to GSM only and i had normal,
stable signal for like an hour. But later signal loses strenght again, and i need to change network type again.
I have the feeling, that its like a reset or restart of the radio.
But now i am all out of ideas and need some help.
Last thing i can do, is to bring it to repair. But my Knox says 0x1, so maybe you can help me before i ask Samsung.
I have similar problem since ugrading to KitKat roms. I had no problems with previous none Knox roms with MH3 modem but now with NE6 and NF7 KK modems the signal swings constantly up and down from 4 to 1 bars. This is in areas I previously had good signal. Internet also keeps dropping out requiring data toggling on and off. I've reflashed KK 20+ times and haven't been able to get rid of this problem yet.
I'm not sure if pre knox modems are installable but I intend to try and reflash MH3 modem, once I manage to do a successful backup.
I solved a similar problem by downgrade to 4.2.2 Brazil NE2, knox 2. Flashing separate modem (NE2), and reflashing full rom again. No problems for now
Now you stay on 4.2.2 ?
I dont understand why some people do have problems and some not. Is there different hardware version causing the trouble ?
Give me pls some information how you did the downgrade.
-Nandroid Backup
-philz
-Odin (if yes which version)
-why did you choose that rom
I tried to, but wasnt succesfull. I used Odin3 3.09 to flash 4.2.2 (UAMF5 i think) rom and got a brick. When trying to fix this nothing helped until i tried to flash with Odin3 3.04. But all i could do was flashing newest FW again. Did not test more after that, because i was very busy.
If you say that going back solved your problem, i will try again go go back myself. I've found some information on that and when its done i give some informations.
Same here, help?
I'm having the same problem with a newly acquired handset. I have full signal on some places and nothing on others, unfortunately in my house I have no signal! So it's quite exasperating.
My baseband version is I9195XXUCNE6
Android version is 5.0.2 with 3.4.0-cyanogenmod-g92aec50 [email protected] #1 kernel
Cyanogenmod version is 12-20150306-UNOFFICIAL-serranoltexx
Would it help if I flash a separate modem file through Odin? In that case, which one should I flash?
Any help would be appreciated a lot.
Thanks
