Does this eat more battery? Because it just came up in my area and now my battery is going down fast

I haven't seen any bad battery life. LTE is kind of like WiFi it's not as terrible on battery as HSPA is.

I think because now you're on 4G LTE while you're on a phone call it uses more battery I've noticed that not necessarily on standby but when I'm on a call I'm eating battery

My battery life has gotten quite a lot better, i use play music for most of the day and usually use 30% of my battery doing it.

I leave my 4G on all of the time. I always charge to full before I crash out to see what kind of drain I get with no use. My battery has been between 92 and 94% when I wake up so I think 4G is properly sleeping. Now, Social Hub and a few of the other apps constantly running on their own is pissing me off. I guess its time to get rid of the bloat

I think its ok to leave 4G on without draining the battery much. Its becomes a pain when it loses signal and keeps trying to connect and disconnect. If we had steady signal all over we wouldn't have to worry about much in terms of battery .

Android system using 64% of my battery and I been having my screen on all morning. is there an app that will track battery usage on each app. I have about 80 apps installed and I know one of them is f-ing Me up.

Better battery stats is a good app.

That's a lot. I bet a few are eating up the battery.
Watchdog will watch your active apps and alert you when any particular app breaks through a preset % CPU threshhold... I use it and it works great...
ill try both of those apps . Here are some screenshots if you guys can think of anything else. Thanks

Decided to start a thread for posting your battery life screen shots..
I forgot to take my screen shot of my best so far =p
But i got like 9:42 minutes. Thats with about a full hour or hour and a half of HD games (Eternity Warriors 2) and then medium use like just texting and occasional facebook or internet browsing.
I also had a 6 hours with 40% battery left.
I haven't been using the potential of my battery to really see what i can get because i was playing HD games to much and just draining my battery =p With full blown just HD games non stop with sound on and auto brightness+wifi, i got 4 hours. Seems pretty good considering full blown HD games on other phones with sound and wifi and auto birghtness would kill your battery in 2 hours or less.

I was just wondering will the stock white mms for the Epic consume a LOT of battery life, or just a bit?
Just a silyl question because I'm obsessed with battery life.

Just a bit. Of course that depends on screen brightness and how long you leave the screen on for.

My brightness is always at the lowest setting and usually about a minute or so for texts.

You won't notice the difference then. Maybe a single percent at the end of the day with a lot of texts.

White backgrounds more power drain...

Yes, white backgrounds would consume more power then their black counter parts... but it is also a matter of how high you set the screen's brightness for how much power the display will consume. I would suggest that you Play around with your settings and lower your brightness as low as possible so you can read it. You could also purchase an extended battery like myself... so you do not have to worry about those issues as much!
I got a 1800 meh battery. Not really extended but an hour or two more juice. And the white, really doesn't take up battery life. Maybe (for my phone) 1-4% thru the whole day, but not bad

Greenify

I would probably use greenify if I was rooted as well. But I find the standby on this thing is awesome compared to other tablets I've tried and doesn't need it.

I love the standby on this thing. Not rooted or using greenify or anything. Leave it at home for 10+ hours when I'm at work on standby with wifi on and the drain is only 3-4% by the time I get back. I only charge this thing every 2-3 days at <30% with a few hours of moderate use every night at home.
Then again it's still fairly new, but its like night and day when compared to my GS3 which drains like a mofo on standby.
Easy battery saver with airplane mode on, right now I'm at 4 days standby with 5.5h screen on and still at 25%battery

No you still can, just turn on airplane and wifi and you are all set, easy battery turns out your wifi when the screens turns off and turns it back on automatically after it comes back on. Works great for me
