[APP]Sywpe Oppo Keyboard 10-24-14 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

I'm just dropping this here for those that like Swype as much as do. But I have the official Swype paid version from the play store..
I was reading on the web the other day. And run into this new Swype from the Oppo1 international.
Nuance Swype Now Exclusive Keyboard for OPPO International Version
Nuance Communications, Inc. NUAN -0.26% today announced that its popular living, learning Swype keyboard for Android smartphones and tablets is now the default keyboard for OPPO, one of the top smartphone brands in China. The agreement includes expanded languages for regions such as South East Asia and Latin America – all part of Swype’s Living Language platform with optional sign-up that grows, learns and personalizes the user experience. No download required.
Swype is the most personal, powerful and customizable four-in-one keyboard for Android, allowing people to quickly glide their finger from one letter to the next to input text – or simply tap, speak or handwrite letters, numbers and symbols. OPPO is passionate about exploring and integrating cutting-edge technology. Together with Swype’s adaptive platform, OPPO will offer smartphone users a language platform and input method that deploy a differentiated keyboard experience.
Swype’s Living Language platform uses crowdsourcing to analyze new words and phrases in real-time, continuously updating its language dictionaries. Swype features intuitive bilingual support for languages that allows users to enter text in two selected languages, quickly and easily. And, words suggested by Swype will automatically adjust to the bilingual user’s language preference. Swype’s bilingual keyboard capabilities support over 1,000 language combinations, including standards like English-Spanish, Thai-English, Vietnamese-French, Czech-Russian, and many more.
“Since entering the mobile market in 2008, we have been relentless in our pursuit of the latest technology, the highest quality and the most user-friendly products. We are confident that we will stay ahead and provide our customers differentiation with Swype’s intelligent and intuitive keyboard capabilities, while enhancing our global reach in the process. We are thrilled to share this contemporary take on text-input with our customers and partners for the emerging markets in the region,” said Sky Li, Director of Overseas Business, OPPO.
“Working with Nuance, OPPO is able to offer an adaptive and simplified way to engage with mobile devices in over 70 languages and especially in the fast-developing markets in South East Asia,” said Aaron Sheedy, vice president of mobile product, Mobile and Consumer Division, Nuance. “With an expanded presence in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and India, OPPO platforms will integrate Nuance’s Swype for intuitive and customizable keyboard experiences.”

I've tested this on my Note2 and it works excellent. Kinda like the old days when Swype was first introduced to the public! It just worked with no lag, errors, no problems, just pure speed!!! Honestly speaking I'm starting to think it actually working better than the Paid verion I have

@Rv57500 asked why it was 55MB in this thread. It looks like it has their entire languages pack in its assets folder. The app from the play store downloads them as necessary. This probably has them all because it comes from a pre-install.
Also, thank you @Bajanman!

Lol on the Android L keyboard.
Tried it for a lil bit, it works but not as good as Swype imho...
Nothing compares to Swype to me. Especially swiping back and forth across the keyboard. And one other thing is the gestures I use in Swype.
I hope you find it handy, plus you'll get an enter key...
Instead of the dumb smiley key..

Thanks for this, but is there a way to do the mini right keyboard on this version of swype? Also, I can't seem to find the Chinese language for the keyboard. I press download more languages but there is not a chinese option like there is in the google play version.
edit: nvm i found the chinese option. however is there a way to get mini right in the oppo version?

I'm not sure if that function will be added!
Since this is stripped down and a lot of paid Swype crap isn't included. Think that's what actually made it laggy. Imho
Which isn't in this Oppo version[emoji106], only thing this is full of is language packs...
Not sure what phone your using this ON?
But you can set one handed use and it'll make the keyboard smaller. I'm fine with it regular size being it'll be too small for me to use, pushed too one side.

Swype is, once again, usuable. I was unable to find an alternative app I was happy with, and had to find a pirated version of Swype (despite being a paid user) so that I could downgrade to one that was less laggy.
Quick question, anyone else having issues connecting Swype to Gmail. I always get the message "We are unable to verify the name associated with this application because it runs on your computer, as... (the rest is not visible" when trying to log in

Answered my own question here: http://forum.swype.com/showthread.php?11584-gmail-social-integration-problem/page5&
Gmail integration has been temporarily removed from Swype for the latest release (version 1.6.19). The issue discussed in this thread required an overhaul of our existing feature, and we wanted to be able to commit to a more complete improvement.

From my s4 with oppo keyboard, working fine, thank you

Mango and me - what still need from microsoft to make the switch

Bing maps and navigation. No turn by turn voice navigation - wtf Microsoft?
Swype - I am addicted to swype. Microsoft should buy those guys out.
Those two issues are preventing me from switching back to Microsoft from android. So frickin' close.
Uh, what? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't mango had turn by turn/voice nav since the first beta?

Bing maps does have turn by turn nav. and as for swype, I could never get into it, honestly I can type things faster on the wp7 keyboard than I ever could with swype and with very little errors. the word correction and completion in wp7 is world class.
The OP may not be in US/UK, Bing nav doesn't work outside of those two countries.
As for the keyboard, the WP7 keyboard is the best around, but SWYPE is not a keyboard. It's in a whole other level. And it blows the WP7 keyboard out of the water.
Also, the word correction, while very competent, is an absolute and utter fail for some of the most basic words. Like "dl", will never change to "do". "Ill" never changes to "I'll". Very annoying.

Nokia maps are coming. Don't count on swype.
Nokia Maps may be locked to Nokia devices, the same way HTC Locations/Connected Media/YouTube/whatever is locked to their devices. Duh? Not everyone thinks Nokia is the Messiah, and not everyone wants their phones.
Bing Navigation is terrible. They need to remove the need to tap. Even rerouting is interrupted because you have to tap to do that as well. It's useless while driving. I wouldn't even use it on a bicycle.
Swype isn't really needed. TBQH, all major platforms have good default soft keyboards. I've never really seen a need to use a third party or OEM keyboard on anything but a Samsung device since they ripped out the default Android keyboard and left only Samsung Keyboard and Swype. Not to mention, Swype isn't that good, anyways, and it adds mistakes to its dictionary way too much when you're tap typing, which comes back later to destroy your accuracy and can lead to some embarassing IMs/emails/SMSes.
All Microsoft needs is something similar to Auto-Text or Auto-Replace on Blackberries/Samsung keyboard so we can use shortcuts and have the keyboard automatically expand it to a phrase i.e. I type "ill ttyl." and the phone expands it to "I'll talk to you later." Which can speed up typing a ton without having the person on the other end bombarded by shortcuts.

I agree. The blackberry text features (and some others) would be sweet.
Bing map has turn by turn navigation. I thought I wouldn't like it cause you have to constantly press the screen to get updated info and voice commands but after using it for a few weeks I got used to it. Its not as bad as it first seems. You get used to it pretty soon and its just as competent as google maps.

Bing map can only do the navigation when the search language is set to those 5 EU languages (and Local Scout only available when set to English UK/US), but no navigation in CHT/CHS/KOR interface (even change the search language to above mentioned)......

Bing maps does not have turn by turn voice guided navigation. Requiring users to constantly tap the screen is not voice guided. It is foolishly dangerous, and in many places illegal.

I wrote Ill because the phone will almost always auto-correct it to I'll. It had nothing to do with that, it was about the ttyl part, where it's impossible to make WP7 expand that to a phrase where it is possible on BB and Android soft keyboards.
Wow, people are just so damn dumb today...
The GPSTuner app is very well done, and affordable. I prefer the Garmin app for most trips (especially now that it has been updated to Mango, and also supports RunUnderLock), but both work well.

1)the prediction is the most accurate I have seen. It learns from your sms, Facebook, Gmail, twitter account. But the most amazing part, it learn your writing patterns and mistake on the keyboard. In other words, every time you quickly right a word doing a "position" mistake (which is often a mistake by proximity, it will know next time what you mean and predict the words accordingly. Also I am French canadien living in Québec right on the border of the Ontario province so my text are half French half English and this is by far applying both language at the same time without having to change language at all and prediction in my case are perfect even if 2 full dictionary applicable. I am sure that it would be even more perfect with only one language. I have been using it since my galaxy s then 2 s2 and now s3 and I did do good compares very objectives giving time, etc. I give this one a 9/10 and the other good ones are a big notch down this score.

Not sure if it will work for you. I have paid full price for it long time ago. But often when I cannot download apps, I just use a regular computer. Google *android play store". Enter your Gmail and password. Search the app. Buy it. It's basically the same as if you were on your phone. But from a pc connection. It may let you buy it and will push it to your phone within a few seconds. Before doing so I would uncheck every options under settings /location from your s3. If this doesn't work, pm me.
I do have trouble getting it to learn my cuss words and anything that has just two letters.

Is almost perfect, to not say perfect, because sure Google improves it more.
This is being written with the "swype" feature in my Galaxy Nexus. Too fast, and can be used with another languages. The system detects the route and compares it with the dictionary. Almost always it detect the right word. Sometimes (very few!) it detects another word, so click in the corrector and add the correct. If you enter some word with orthographic errors, it detects it and is introduced and corrected perfectly, like if you are using the normal keyboard. Is good also with punctuation and spaces.
Using it in vertical position and perfect, always I wrote in vertical in old keyboard I have lots of errors because my big fingers. Since I have installed Android 4.2, I don't needed to use the landscape mode, so I'm happy to see how I can write now at the speed of thunder and chat without getting angry
Thanks Google!

If the new keyboard keeps people from getting angry when they chat - it should be mandatory for XDA posters.
Frankly I hate it. It makes no sense in my mind to drag my finger over letter that I don't need for a word, yet through which I have to go in order to get to the next letter I need... I'd much rather type normally
I've got last update for my Galaxy Nexus and now I'm on 4.2, i cant find anywhere Swype keyboard ..its on English (U.S.A) keyboard
Why?
It's just called android keyboard, that now allows swiping. Swype is a third party keyboard you really don't need anymore.

Frankly I hate it. It makes no sense in my mind to drag my finger over letter that I don't need for a word, yet through which I have to go in order to get to the next letter I need... I'd much rather type normally

I'm way faster on Swype. I hate trying to hit each key perfectly and and/or moving my hand to enter the suggested. But to each his own.
I have to try this new swipe since people seem to like it.

Did they add in any variety of custom dictionary sync? That's one thing I really like about the version of Swype I have now. I no longer need to re-teach the keyboard all the technical jargon every time I get a new device.
i got some issue with the newz android keyboard, sometimes the word are show twice
The personal dictionary allows you to add words directly (Skype doesn't), but I don't think it works. I added a few email addresses and typing the first 2-3 letters don't bring up the address. Swype had problems with words beginning with a number, so does android. I find android just as accurate. I like having a "." on the numeric keyboard that's not on Swype.

I like it...
never used Swype before because it seemed a bit counter-intuitive, but really like it on the nexus 7 (possibly because typing is a pain normally)
I can see why some people will hate it, mind - some people hate predictive text for similar reasons.
I spent some time with swipe. It's pretty accurate but just feels clunky in places. What I really missed though was the shortcuts that Swype has like swiping from the Swype key to the 5 key to bring up a number pad and swiping from the Swype key to the shift key to change case. And I don't like having to change keyboards to enter numbers. I like the convention of a long hold to get numbers and common punctuation like in Swype.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
My version of Swype has a '.' on the numberpad. Are you actually referring to the number pad (accessed by swyping from the Swype key to the #5 or long pressing on the "123" key) or the symbol/number keyboard accessed by quick pressing on the "123" key?
Swype also lets you add to the dictionary--it just does it whenever you key in a new word, as opposed to having you specifically go through the hassle of adding words to the dictionary. That's why I was impressed with the versions of Swype that sync online--so I don't need to re-teach it words I've already taught it on other devices.

Ahhh forgot about the actual numpad. I always found it easier to press the 123 key, and don't think there's a "." there.
The android keypad lets you add words as you're typing too, I just find the "+" in the dictionary more convenient (at least on initial set-up). I also like the nicknames you can add to the personal dictionary, for "words" that Swype doesn't recognize (or suggest)... Like I have "[email protected]" as an email, if it's in Swype dictionary it won't come up as a suggestion, but in android, set a nickname like "mrk" or anything you want, and the suggestion will pop up.
I have nothing against Swype, used it for a year, I just find "little" things about android I like better. I don't type a lot, so may not know all the secrets to Swype (or Android). I do like the new Swype theme options!

AND maybe also put a little time in support for your other apps? i mailed, Pm'ed, posted in "widget maker" thread. all without result (i paid for the app btw)
I do not support that app, it is no longer my responsibility. Also, i dont read pms from people not in my friends list.
Now, if you like i can refund you the cost of widget maker, as its unlikely that anyone will be returning to it in house (weve sold it to sony, apparently its big in japan).

I'm not asking for a refund. I was just looking for support. Play says you sell it so i try to contact you. I guess that's normal. I don't see it documented that it's not your app anymore. I'm sorry but you should have documented that!!!
I tried this and it makes my home screens extremely laggy/choppy, even with it overclocked to 1.5 GHz.

English is not my native language but this looks to me as if you are trying to offend me. This shows that you have good manners and that you are a real business man. A normal person would have answered my simple request by telling me that the app is no longer supported. A normal person would have closed the app's thread here and a normal person would have deleted the app from Play Store or at least edited the product description.

I think youre just confused. Noone is offending you. Perhaps you think that kids is some offence? Its not. Or do you think i make 20+ apps all by my lonesome self?
The truth is the truth, your opinion of it is yours to keep. Noone is going to delete it because it works fine. And noone has given up on it either.
Anyway, please lets get back to the app at hand shall we...

Well i just for the life of me dont know. Perhaps youre maxing things out? Because for me its fine, i use my n7 daily on the way to work, stock jb, nova launcher.
Maybe youve just got a lot of stuff on the homescreens? Or your animation settings are high?
Even on the tf700, which has a considerably hiugher resolution running on the same t3 soc everything is fine...
Try to disable scrolling (its in the performance settings) if all else fails...

iWOWN i7 smart bracelet with heart rate monitor

This post updates frequently
This thread is aimed to bring together all the information available on the i7 smart band: firmware, troubleshooting, features etc. This thread is also possible thanks to the work already done my user roninzgz for the i5+ smartband
I video review will also be soon posted (already delayed).
The app called Zeroner can be found in the play store here, or, for the most up-to-date app, one can find it here, in chinese (4.0.1.6), downloadable to your PC. The Chinese dev thread is here
The best version of the app to be used in english is the roninzgz moded one Zeroner 3.3.4 in En or Es here, here or here
A fast picture album after I unpacked it can be seen here. More, better quality photos, will be updated shortly.
A short review:
First off, we're talking about the all black version (black anodized aluminium body with a black wristband). A very good quality build and I was lucky to find it for a bit over 50€ though prices can change change.
It uses a 1.28 inch Sharp Memory LCD with a 128x128 pixel resolution (the same as the Pebble) making it have a battery life of veeeery close to 4 full days. There are some things I'd change in order to increase the life span, like the backlight, though dim, should have the option to be set between a specific interval, and not turn on at all during sleep mode. This is, however, not affected by the "screen mode" balk zith white text or white with black text as the whole screen needs to be refreshed and it eats the same 3-5 uA (micro amps) to do.
The body is sleek and allows for standard 20 mm wristbands to be used. It's thickness is as advertised, 8.4 mm, but the flat cut sides give it thinner look and the heart-rate sensor "bump" is unnoticeable.
Speaking of the heart-rate function, it's not always on, but rather it is a discreet one, at a minimum 10 minute intervals, depending on the activity. If sedentary, then the interval goes to 30 minutes. It is very accurate in measurements (compared with a medical one) and, as seen in Zeroner 3.3.4, it has it's own firmware (though 3.6.6.7 pushes it automatically, simultaneously)
It comes with 3 watch faces though the new firmware update changes the UI altogether. The one on the device at shipment is 1.0.3.9, to be updated to 1.0.5.4 (using Zeroner 4.0.1.6)
The screen responds to both swipes and touches. It has 5 active areas under the glass (2.5D) and it's not "too" sensitive but you'll never miss a command if the whole gesture is done.
It stores up to 8, full text notifications (basically it copies the phone's notification to the device' screen) - this function will change in the new firmware.
The device has English and Chinese menus, though the English one is pictogram based. It is, however, very intuitive and straightforward.
The new UI will bring camera and media player controls.

Are you sure that is the official one? Their official site says "coming soon" and the picture looks totally different.

Edit: It's not listed on their chinese store either. I don't think this is actually an iwown product.

More than sure. Since not only does it pair with the latest app (which is better secured than 3.3.4) but also took the update. Also, the dedicated Chinese forum thread is a giveaway.
It is an iWOWN product and the exchanges I had with the customer service (who only reply if you write in Chinese) confirmed it for me.
Cheers
Edit: if, on the en website you just change the langue (via the flag button top right), you'll see it front and centre

I received my i7 today and i am quite pleased. It's quite elegante and feels like it is only 5mm thick. it cam with 1.0.0.3 firmware. The Menu is in chinese so pretty useless.Somehow i manage to change it that it displays symbols so it is okay, i guess.
I tried updating the firmware, but zeroner 3.6.6.7 won't start, even when phone language is set to chinese. Any suggestions?

I'll grab a quick look on how to get the hex file so you could manually place it in the Zeroner folder. Since I'm working with an iPad for that... I hope it'll not be "too" tricky.
If you are trying to update I'm sure it works with an iphone, after scanning the image in the first post and following the steps. it does not need any language change for the OS

When will the video presentation?

Hi, neotion,
Yes, the i7 has a backlight, very non intrusive if viewed in dark places. I'd wish it wouldn't turn on during the day as there is no need for it.
I'm getting 4 days of use from it and regarding the video, I can't get a break: my camera decided to not detect my lens and i'm now looking around to borrow one. - Can't do it with a phone, tried it and it's just... :crying: ugh. the sound is awful is where I'm getting at.
If push comes to shove I'll shoot it with a phone.
i tried updating my bracelet with zeroner 3.6.7 and a friends phone. I won't upgrade. i am stuck at the update page. it says detecting version.

ok, so, the Android 3.6.6.7 app does not work above 5.1.1 (since it work on cm12.1 but not on cm13)
by scanning the qr code in this thread with an iOS device you'll get an app that not only would work but also allow you to update the firmware - yes, the chinese devs like iOS more
so, get the image on your phone, find a friend/colleague with an iPhone and update it like that - sorry I can't do more ATM

Hi, got my i7 today!!! The watch came with stock 1.0.0.1 firmware.
I successfully updated the firmware to 1.0.1.0 on Android KK using Chinese app 3.6.6.7 version.
As compared to i5, where .hex is used to update the firmware, i7 use .zip file to do the same.

I was able to upgrade using the DFU mode i5 plus mod by Ronin. It also works on the i7. But u don't see any success message. After that i used nRF Master control. There i connected to I7s DFU 1 and used Distribution package, normal mode. Worked like a charm.:highfive:
But it seem it's kind of buggy for me. in the menu i can't enter the options anymore. i can scroll through them so. At least it is still usable and not bricked :silly:
