I can't seem to figure out what do I need to blacklist from hover to prevent screenshot notification showing up in it
Take a screenshot and you can long press your notification and select app info. It will take you to system ui

You have to long press the notification in your drawer not on the hover notification.
We have no hover settings.
What specific Paranoid Android settings do you think you need? All the options are logically located where it makes sense for them to be.

Well, the peek app has a nice way of being able to specify the blacklist. would be nice if that model was available somewhere in the PA ROM.

My issue (I think like the one above) wasn't that there were apps that couldn't be blacklisted, but rather just couldn't figure out how to add an app to the blacklist. I was also making the point that I had such n issue discovering how to blacklist an app when I used the peek app on my previous Un - paranoid rom.
sorry if I wasn't clear.

I have cm10 with expanded desktop but I'm wondering if anyone has done a mod where a gesture will toggle the visibility of the soft keys. It's exactly what I, along with a ton of other people, are looking for. Hell, I'll pay someone to do it for us!!

What I think would be nice is if we could just get rid of the navbar and replace it with a gesture from the bottom edge to reveal the ring in my screenshot, except the nav controls will be on that ring
AFAIK GMD gesture control supports this. Not quite sure. Just try the lite version first.

Few options are out there already.
GMD - You can set various swipes such as 45* up/left for back, up for home, etc, activated at the bottom.
App that I forget the name of but enables pie control in any app. You can set multiple layers as well as an inner and outer pie ring, but this can get a bit clustered. Realistically you can probably set all of your most used apps into the pie on various layers though and get rid of every shortcut.
Latest PA has a more feature rich but less customized pie. Battery bar, time, notifications, access notification panel, per-app color of pie, and more. However, unlike the app above you cannot add additional items into the pie, at least not yet.

LMT with PIE Control is IMHO the Name of the app. In the last version it includes also the swipe from the bottom like in Para...Rom (don't know the name of the rom right now). But it's not the same. A simple swipe from the bottom and it should show the orig. softkeys. That would be soooooo cool! I would never ever switch back and set the expanded desktop active
I have GMD installed and I was not able to hide only the soft keys.
The only option I found hides the soft keys AND the notification bar on the top of the phone, so valuable info like battery, signal strength etc are also hidden.
Any ideas to hide only the soft keys?

Not totally gesture but u must take a look at paranoid android PIE control. It's still in beta but it has a lot of potential.
I think u would like it.... Here are some examples...

Exactly what I was looking for
But how stable is paranoid android compared to CM10
My main issue is I haven't found a good way of hiding the softkeys. GMD closes the whole SystemUI so lose the top bar and app switcher, and the Fullscreen Toggle that a lot of people use removes the in-app menu button which is not ideal as I don't really want to have a gesture just to access the basic menu.
Is there a good way of doing this that I've missed?

I'm running it from day 1 (got my N4 since half December) and it's perfectly stable. I always wait a little while before updating and follow the tread to be sure there are no great bugs. If everything's ok then I'll update to a newer version. The PIE option is really Beta so there will be some bugs.
I think u just must try it, paranoid android is really a original and renewing ROM. Not just because the pie, but also the hybrid, per app color and dpi option.
It's just as stable, if not more stable then cm10.1 The rom is based on AOSP so should be as stable as the original one.

Remember it's a beta. Development is going very fast and I'm sure they will find a great solution for that.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I downloaded GMD pro and so far it's pretty cool. That PIE mod looks amazing. Any way someone can rip it and make it work with any ROM? If not, I might have to bite the bullet and just flash the ROM.

At first I thought it had something to do with auto-closing the drawer after swiping away the last notification, but that didn't seem to be the case.
I'm not sure if this is PA style, but perhaps a popup or toast notification the first time the user presses this button to give them an idea of what's going on?

Can anyone make it possible for us to use every app in Qslide?
There's an app to add any app to dual window. Personally, I feel like dual window is more useful, but a little customization in QSlide would make it actually useful.

You don't need an app to add all apps to dual window. You just need to make one value change in build.prop.
Just edit 'persist.splitwindow.support_all=false' to 'persist.splitwindow.support_all=true'.

Are you aware of what QSlide actually is and how it works?
Its not like multi-window where it just restricts an app to a specific frame, these are floating apps that can be resized, moved and hidden - its not something that you can easily hack to make work for all apps.

Yes, I believe QSlide apps have to be coded with these features in. If an app doesn't implement the QSlide API, then it would be very difficult and probably buggy to externally add QSlide support for it.

Halo wasn't a floating apps thing, it was floating notifications this is completely different.
Basically they were presenting notifications in the same was as Facebook Messenger has its "chat head" feature.

You just described pen window, and this is exactly what you can do on the note line. There are a few bugs but it is still very handy.
Wonder if sony small apps can be easily ported across - heaps of great small apps available and they "appear" to work the same sort of way (both floating dialogue box like apps and both launched in similar way)..
I can help developers to add it to their own app.
I am starting to get a little (LOT) pissed off, no matter what I do, I JUST CAN'T FIND A GODDAMN 4.3.1 ROM (like Carbon, AOSPA, or PAC. I found a CM one but I'd prefer other with more features release)

sounds like a perfect occasion to expand your search criteria to "how to port" threads and make one yourself!! OR you can commission a dev to make one for you. in either case you can tailor one to your specific needs or liking!
Why do you want 4.3.1? What does it do that 4.4.4 or 4.4.3 or 4.4.2 don't do?

Well. The notification and navigation bar can be both permanently hidden, on KK they re appear when swiping. They used to be more customizable i.e. AOSPA had hybrid properties, halo and pie better than ever.

You can hide them both in kk too, I accidently trigged the no navigation bar option in fpse and had to reboot to them back, it stops the recents working in button saviour though.

I know that you can hide the navbar in some custom roms, but don't think you can hide the notification bar. Have you looked at Xposed?
The problem with 4.3.1 is that it's probably more than a year old by now. The chances of you finding one is virtually zero, aside from the images Google hosts.
Any possibilities of long pressing on shortcuts of notification bar will open more settings ? For example if i keep pressing on WIFI shortcut it should open WIFI settings. I have not rooted my phone yet. Its running on 6.0.1. This is normally available in HTC & SAMSUNG phones.

For Wi-Fi and Bluetooth you can click on the title below the icon and it will expand to show networks and devices as well as a more settings button. At least that's what I remember of Android M. I also remember being able to long press the icons to enter the settings for the toggle. Maybe that's just for the other buttons like cellular data.

Thanks for reply. I agree those little links below WIFI and BT opens quick setting in same notification window. Then there is more setting link to open full setting options. But that is not available for location services and other shortcuts.
Also those shortcuts are hardly manageable. Only few shortcuts can be added or deleted which is also under beta. Customization option is not available. Hard to believe for 6.0 version of android.

It's "fixed" on Android N. So you have that to look forward to in October or whenever they fully release it. It's also probably available in a custom ROM if you want to go that route.
