Hello. I'm trying to use a Bell Canada sim card on an unlocked LG-F400S, and it's not working. I was under the impression this phone would work for at least 3G with bell, and also the 2600 and 700 LTE bands.
But it's not working at all. Is it supposed to work, or was a screwed all along?

Have you selected wcdma under Bands etc for lte

Actually the issue was far more dumb on my behalf.
I thought I was inserting a Micro SIM card, but it was actually a Nano SIM... so it wasn't positioned right.

Hey my brother jus gave me his touch pro 2 and I was wonderin if I needed the sim unlocked and if I do how do I unlock it. Thx in advance to anyone that can help
I am not sure that the CDMA versions of the TP2 have a SIM card slot, ill look around to verify this, but other wise you are stuck using it on Sprint's network by way of an ESN swap.

sprint tp2 is cdma and gsm so yea it has a sim slot. sprint locks the sim so that it only works with International sim cards. in order for it to be used on US gsm networks, you have to use the SIM unlocker.
thx for the help
So I am using the Tmobile Galaxy S2 T989 with Magic Sim 28th Gen Non-cut dual sim adapter and even though the adapter works fine and I can switch sims, I get "Invalid Sim" when I try to use wifi calling on Tmobile Sim. Does having the dual sim adaptor break Wifi calling? I have tried factory reset, wipe data, cache and all the usual stuff but no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks....

I am also planning to buy a dual-sim adapter. Were you able to find any solutions to make wifi calling work also?
Thanks
I was told told with the software update you need a new Sim card for wifi calling... I had to get a new one from TMobile

I just moved over to t-mobile - so my sim is brand new. However - i get the invalid sim message as soon as wifi calling tries to start when using the magicsim. Its fine without.
Any ideas?
Update?
Were you able to fix this? I've got a cheap $5 eBay dual SIM adapter with a new T-Mo SIM and I'm getting ER05 when I try to activate Wifi calling.
Jamie
Nope, there is no solution to this problem. I guess the dual sim adaptor forms a layer between Tmobile SIM and the phone and thus the SIM can't identify itself properly. Hope someone finds a solution for this....
I am going out of the country to Mexico. I have never used an international sim card with my phone. Can I use one in Mexico. My phone is Unlocked and rooted. It is Verizon CDMA.
I highly doubt it for the simple fact its cdma. Most countries use GSM. I may be mistaken but I'd check with Verizon just to be 100% sure

That is what I thought just wanted to confirm. My phone is not international but I thought it would be with a different international sim card

The reason you're phone is not "international" is because the radio chip only communicates via certain frequencies. It is a function of the hardware that is physically soldered to the logic board. Changing a sim doesn't make any phone international. Whether or not the phone has a chip that supports the frequencies that the SIM is trying to use is what determines if you'll get service.
Also, Verizon only uses SIM cards for LTE service, not the phone. If you ever get your hands on an iPhone 4 or 4S that is on Verizon, take the SIM card out. The phone will still work fine. It doesn't even use the SIM card (because 4s and 4S's don't have LTE).
You posted this in the wrong section dude
Went ahead and reported it, asking it to be moved.
No worries though. It happens!
I am a little confused? Cricket can take your vzw phone and flash it to work on their network. What do they have or know that the devs at xda don't know?

The Verizon Note 4 is SIM unlocked. All it needs to work on Cricket is a Cricket SIM (and possibly adjusted APN settings for data and MMS). There's no flashing of any kind involved.
Um not mine, tried all carriers Sim cards the only one that worked is a old tmobile Sim from germany.

Then either something is wrong with the SIM cards you were using, the settings are off, or your device is defective. The Verizon Note 4 is SIM unlocked. There are plenty of threads on the forum where people talk about using it with AT&T, T-Mobile, and prepaid carriers.

cricket up and running on mine (vzw sm n910v) had to manually enter network apn to enable data , but phone worked upon sim insertion. It registered as an AT&T sim and I received an error message stating it wasn't a Verizon sim card but noone at cricket was needed to receive service.

My question is....I ordered it because it says that it supports 1700mhz/2100mhz and aws band 4...I am with Mobilicity in Canada...For the life of me I cannot get this stupid phone to recognize my sim card. Ive messed around with the settings, changed sim card slots...tried everything I can think of, and its still not working. Will any way u know of get it working?

Well, I'm using a WW phone on Wind in Canada, and it uses the exact same bands as Mobilicity (AWS 1700/2100). I did have to configure my APN settings, but that was about it. I think you also have to use SIM slot 1.
