Hi there !!
I'm currently having issues with my Z1, I recently installed a zip for deodexed apps from CWM and it has messed up some apps, a bit..
I cleared /data partition in order to reinitialize most of the things but still having issues with XPeria Keyboard app that crashes..
Do you know where I can find a zip archive with stock apps for .757 ? So that I can rewrite /system..
Thanks a lot :good:
If you have recovery, did you do a backup before you started messing with system apks?
Do you have Titanium Backup, that should restore stuff for you.
Otherwise zxz0O0's guide might help
You shouldn't loose any data.
Hi Didgesteve !
I did a backup of apps through FlashTool (My D550X/Backup System Apps) but I can't see how to restore this backup, actually..
I'll glance at Titanium Backup
Thanks

Hi guys,
I have a few questions about titanium backup which I've also seen asked but not answered in a few rom threads.
1: If we do a backup user and system apps, what happens when we restore to a new or different rom. For example if the keyboard or another systemapp has been updated in the rom
2: How is titanium backup at handling internal/external programs? If I install a new rom which has google maps for example, whereas I had it installed externally before, what happens?
Thanks guys

From what I understand, /system/app is not writable on Desire - so you can't restore any system apps, you can however restore all apps in /data/app
you can restore them....data wise at least!!! my settings and data were restored when i flashed the MCR3.1 but if you flash a completely new rom i advise not to restore the system apps
Hi all,
I know that Titanium backs up apps+data,
does it back OS files ?
I had a corrupted rom on the Desire so I backed up data+apps (which were all working correctly), installed a different rom (CM 6.2). If I restore apps + data will I overwrite some of the Operating System files and corrupting it again ?
Thank You !!
It is not a good thing to back up in one ROM and restoring it in a differnt ROM.
You will never know what is causing the problem then. Fro restoring your phone to current status, do a nandroid backup once you root the device.
Hi,
I had upgraded my Galaxy Gio from stock rom to custom rom (CM 7.2 based), and now I want to restore just a few apps + data (for e.g. Memo) and Contacts (from stock rom) from my Nandroid backup, so I want it should be on the current custom rom.
How far I tried to do so, I could'nt get it done. I tried with NANDROID MANAGER, I installed it and tried to restore some apps + their data, (the apps was in previous rom in System/Apps so Nandroid Manager automatically wanted to install it in system/apps), ok, the program showed as it's installed with no broblems, BUT after reboot as it required, NOTHING HAPPENED, so I looked in system/apps and data/data with root explorer, those apps & data were there, but it was not installed.....
I also tried to restore the Contacts from Nandroid (Contacts Storage), and I ended up with erasing all contacts I had currently on the phone (anyway that wasn't a problem, cause i had an regular backup of it).
So I would like to understand what the problem is, and how is it possible to have my previous memos and contacts restored to my current rom?!
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE!!!!
Thanks in advance.

Hey guys!
Can someone who hasn't deleted any system apps or converted system apps to user apps or vice-versa, please post here a printscreen from all apps from titanium backup?
I'm about to backup my Stock ROM, before flashing a new one, and I want it to save it like it was in the beggining. I don't know why, but before I frozed some apps,I converted them from system apps to user apps...
Hope you understand what I'm asking.
Thanks!
Hello, i'm about to flash untouched rom on my htc 820. Just to make a system update.
