hey friends, recently i have used cm11 for my s4 mini duos and it works amazing, the only thing missing is a brightness slider in the notification bar for cm11 s4 mini duos. I found some threads about flashing a zip to enable brightness sliders for cm9 and cm10 and they conformed that it wont work for later versions, anyone has any idea how to install a brightness slider. I even tried the zip update for cm9 and cm10 on my cm11, didnt work.
The slide in status bar option to adjust brightness in cm11 isnt really friendly and lil annoying too. The stock s4 mini duos UI had the normal brightness slider option. Really usefull when i go out in bright sunlight to increase the brightness fast and quick
A friend solved the same problem by installing Carbon ROM found in the dev forum.
Maybe other cm11 based roms can solve your issue.

no carbon rom doesnt have it. I tried the latest today.
I'm sorry, I misunderstood your question. Now I see what you mean
I think the only thing possible is to show quick access ribbon in drawer.
Good luck

hi, the solution has been found, head to

Hello guys, I just wanted to create a little application helping you to add the Nexus like navigation bar
It's a very simple batch based application but i think it's faster than doing it manually.
Sadly I have to say that there is a part you have to work manually, too, otherwise it would recommend you to have 7zip - dos version installed.
(only adding a file to a zip, instructions are given in the application)
This is only tested with CM9 and i'm sure it wont work with any sammy-based rom.
Although i tested this application several times i can't give you any warranty and i'm not responsible for any damage you do to your smartphone.
Maybe it's working with other devices than the GSIII, but i can't test this.
If you are interested i will try to add functionalities like changing icons or amount of icons.
To get started only execute the DoIt.bat , but you have to have Java Runtime installed or you will get an error!

Male it work in sammy rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364757
Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 con Tapatalk 2
The tool is already working like described in this tutorial.
You can give it a try and use it with your samsung firmware, but maybe there will be complications because of touchwiz.
The risk of doing something wrong is although very small, because the tool will create a backup you can push back if something goes wrong
If you've got a question about pushing back the backup, you can pm me
In addition this tool will work with any cm9 / aosp based ics rom, gingerbread didn't include this feature in his source.
It surely will work with Galaxy SII or Galaxy SI or with any other phone running one of these roms, but i can only try this with my device.
It may also work with a touchwoz based rom, but i think it maybe will give you a compiling - error or something similar.
(Maybe with other Brand - UIs like Sense, Motoblur, ..., too)
So if you try it, please post your results here
After school i'll work on it and add the feature to choose the height of navigation bar and to choose the icons.
Nice work! Thank you for this. Now I don't have to use AOKP just to get the navbar. Navbar is very important for me, because I hate the physical home button.
It's not likely to work directly with Touchwiz ROMs though, since they don't have the resources for the navbar. Just changing navbar=false to true is not enough. It works with CM, because everything necessary is already included.

i' ll try it, thanks. But, does it work only with touchwiz or with any other launcher???
I would like to know if there is any mod or way to include ICS navbar, but keeping stock touchwiz.
The reason is simple, the flimsy home button seems to be the weakest part of SIII, the less we use it, the better.
Hi people, just wanna share with you that..
in e973 thread there's a new rom which seems to be very cool, called the Mokee rom. I asked the dev to make a version for our e975 and he said yes
He will update OP in next time, so if anyone's interested just look from time to time to the e973 development thread.
So i am looking forward to this and hope you guys too cuz every new rom for our phone is a big win.
Cheers.

Downloading thanks man, look like thinkbridge rom that is my favorite and complete of all roms I've tested
Looks nice, thanks for asking a new ROM for E975.
I'm tempted to try this one and see if BT is working... or maybe I will wait for 4.3 version
Tested and my impression are:
- Some Chineseok stuff to be deleted;
- Problem with BT calls, no new, common to a lot of custom rom's (I has able to do it 1 or 2 times, but in most of times don't work)
- A couple kernel crash after a soft reboot after using "Icon Themer"

Icon Themer is a piece of ****. It broke 3 of the ROMs I've tried it on hahaha
Just use another launcher with an icon pack, much easier.

works perfectly with Stock ROM!
I have several launchers with icon pack But changing icons on drawer or home page it's not enough to me, I like to change the apk icon too!

How did you do to make it work on Stock? I tried but I ended up in a bootloop.
Thanks

Nothing special...
Instal Xposed Installer and Icon Themer;
Activate in modules the Icon Themer
Run Icon themer and used DCizonZ Icon pack
soft Reboot (and I do it everytime that the icon pack is updated)

Thanks, I'll try it later.
Last time I tried I did exactly the same as you but I ended up in a bootloop. Maybe it was the icon pack..
The icon packs are in apk format?

Love this!
Hi together,
just want to say, I really LOVE this Mokee ROM so far.
I installed it on my e975 yesterday morning. And I did not see any bug so far.
Even BT incomming calls do work for me! Great.
Edit: I just saw that outgoing is the problem. Have not tested that. But this is not so important for me.
The best about changing over to an CM10.1 based rom is, that I finally got rid of this ugly
gray LG status bar. It looked so displaced with every kind of skin or setup.
I am happy!
THANKS A LOT, xtforevers an all the other devs - great work.
Frank
BT outgoing is working
Hello again,
I tried some outgoing calls with the handsfree in my car. Worked perfect. Really great rom.

Yesterday you tested with handsfree in your car too?
Can you confirm? I've written this in several threads, that apparently BT calls sometimes works (not only in MokeeROM ), but sadly not every time.
BT outgoing not reliable
Hello rimsilva,
you are absolutely right. It is working, but not always. If you don't hear something, you can switch to speakers an all is fine.
Not perfect, but I can live with that.
No matter, averall still a great rom.

Only that Bluetooth thing, but that seems on all roms and untill cm doesn't fix it it will be there.
Apart from this MoKee is surely one of the best roms we have for our e975.
It's fast and imo the smoothest rom in terms of scrolling. From the look its like CM with some more functions and it has Halo and Pie.
Hi I recently bought a flip cover for my s4 mini and since I'm running cyanogenmod in my phone, I noticed that the flip cover doesn't turn the screen on/off like it's supposed to.. So I'm curious if there's any app that allows to do this on my phone with cm? The cover doesn't have s-view, but at least I expected to lock the phone when closed and keeped on my pocket. I read somewhere that only works with Touchwiz roms but I think it's possible at least make it work to lock screen via administrator device running in the background or something..

There're few apps can emualte that, first one comes to mind on the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hatroid.sview&hl=en
s4 mini s view doesn't work in custom roms (AOSP) !
hatroid it is really buggy in our phone
you 'll see yourself too
the most annoying thing for me is that i can't answer calls by swiping! this makes the whole sview concept useless ...
i tried hatroid and another application emulating s view but found nothing as good as the stock s view software
aosp rom just don't care for the S view thing...
only if a TW based custom rom existed for our 9195...
anyway if you find something usefull please let us know here
I decided to remove the flip because it was really useless, besides it was really uncomfortable while playing and answering calls. I only kept the black cover, it looks really good.

LOL! And why would AOSP care about the S-View from Samsung? If you like the Samsung features so much, keep the stock ROM. People use AOSP for a reason - to keep the manufacture bloat away.

because sview is not bloat !
plain and simple ...
Development state of HallMonitor
The S-View functionality is certainly not a bloat!
But development of HallMonitor seems to have stopped since version 0.4.2 (latest commit of the author "durka" is from 22 Jul 2014). This version doesn't support CM12(.1) (see issue 52 on durka's GitHub page).
The suggested installation of the "MagnetOff" Xposed module is not a very useful workaround since you can't use the hall sensor (magnet sensor) anymore and would have to fall back on the proximity sensor (which is a pain in the a**).
The GitHub user "manusfreedom" has added several features and took development of HallMonitor up to his version 2.0.2 beta (but his last commit is quite old too, from 21 Sep 2014). Has anyone tested manusfreedoms fork on CM12(.1)? Or does anyone know about a recent revival of HallMonitor's development? Would be so awesome to have this for CM12.1 ... :cyclops:
i have the same problem. hallmonitor and MagnetOff works not realy well! to much bugs..
its possible to export the feature from stock kernel? exist a custom rom with stock kernel?
Hello,
First off, awesome work on PA, and it's a really awesome and stable ROM.
I only have one problem with it right now: I can't seem to make the navigation bar appear
I've searched through all of the settings for anything that would enable it but I couldn't find it.
I've tried both Immersive and Non-Immersive Modes, as well as Using Immersive Mode with all three settings (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48801767&postcount=10) and it never "shows up".
I understand that there's a setting to use the PIE controls, but even when I reset the preferences for that, and selected the "No" option to using it, I still can't make it appear.
I've used PA with the navigation bar before, so I'm not sure why this would occur only now.
Really hoping you could help me, so that I can stop using the physical buttons if possible
Thank you in advance!
Enzo

Ohhh, did not know that one, thank you very much for the quick response!
Hey guys I just started experiencing some problems when trying to move/open/delete icons from my home screen.
You can watch this issue in the link below
By the way I would like to thank the awesome work made by the team. I have never had such a complete pure fluid ROM experience in a 130€ phone.
It's a rooted Mi A2 using Havoc(not the 13th July one)
Edit: I still can avoid the bug by sliding de icons to the delete icon on top.
Also, if you change screen to left or right you can delete them.No need to move any home screen folder
Hope someone can help
