Just purchased this beauty (except for the LG's software) and went on flashing CM instantly.
Rooted, installed TWRP and downloaded latest CM nightly.
Upon flashing CM, I get the following error (its saying that my device is GPE, while it isn't)
I'm currently doing Nandroid backup, just in case (even though I mostly skip it). The device software is v50020a, running 4.4.2.
Any help with this?
I have the same issue...
Did you guys follow the guide here for installing twrp on 4.4.2?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2551499
if you guys aren't i'd make sure i was on the latest TWRP from that thread. I just installed cM11 june 19th nightly and it flashed and works perfectly.
EDIT: i see you are on the newest twrp, but you are on an old version of CM11..could this be the issue??
He flashed the palman recovery

Okay, I'm new to Android and I heard this is the go-to spot for help. Anyway, this is what happened to my Wind SGH-T999V. Mind you i'm VERY new to this rooting thing
I rooted my S3 by using TWRP 2.6.3.0 and i used odin3 v1.85 and it worked. I downloaded a root checker and it said i'm rooted. Then i put CM 10.1.2 on my sd card and wanted to install it via TWRP recovery but it gave me an error that said "No MD5 filed found" or something along those line.
I then tried to use different versions of twrp ( twrp 2.6.1.0) and a different CM (10.1.1) but i still got the same "no Md5 found" error. So, a friend then told me to ditch twrp all-together and download CWM instead. So, I download recovery clockwork touch 6.0.3.7 and put it on my phone.
THEN, i tried to go back to the recovery boot place, but after that small blue font saying "recovery boot", my phone goes black. I dont see the old twrp recovery or the clockwork one.
I just really want to have Cyanogenmod on my phone, i've been having a hard time. Help please?
Just disable the md5 check, most or the ROM files are not going to include a hash file, but will flash fine. TWRP or CWM will error out if the flash fails.
Also, it sounds like your recovery install failed, just reinstall using ODIN and a file from @DocHoliday77 (I recommend TWRP over CWM, but it is just preference)
It's already unchecked.
Install TWRP and try again, should work without issue. Also, redownload the ROM file, preferably the latest version, 10.1.3RC2 (I think)

Don't use RC2. If you want stable, use 10.1.2. get.cm, filter it for your device. I think Doc also has them in his signature.
http://get.cm/?device=d2tmo&type=stable
"Stable" is relative, the RCs are just as good.

I have cm 10.1.2 downloaded but like i said, it\s not installing for me. I used multiple recovery's and atm i'm using twrp 2.2.2.0 and it's not installing either.
EDIT: I'm getting a status 7 error when I try to install it via twrp install

You need to edit the install script because your device isn't supported. Or you can download Doc's version.
Actually I'm pretty sure cm includes the T999V, but I'm betting the firmware needs to be updated.
Look in Aerowinders Sig for the links to the firmware. In that OP you should find a link to the thread with the T999V firmware.
Or, you can go to my T999L thread and get the Rom there. But w/o updated firmware it may be buggy.

CM10.1.3 is now Stable and will be the last 4.2.2 build. It should has the all of the Asserts, including the MB7 one. Also, update your TWRP, the current is 2.6.3.0.

You should read the sticky threads, and use xdas search for terms or definitions anytime you run into stuff you aren't familiar with.

So, i recently jumped into the custom ROM scenario and everything related to unlocking+rooting. Within the last 3-4 days, i installed cm 10.1, and then found cm 11 and upgraded. (Thanks to Mustaavalkosta) There are certain questions that i have in mind:
1. So, when i installed cm 10.1, all apps got synced and were installed to my phone automatically as i installed gapps, i made backup with clockwork recovery. Then the next day i clean installed cm 11, neither did my apps were synced with this other gapps for 4.4.2 and the second issue i had belonged to recovery. I accidentally locked my phone by using screen security pin and i couldn't unlock it. In a state of panic i thought of using Clockwork restore to 10.1 from 11. After restoring and rebooting, first came the boot screen, and then all i had was a non-responsive black screen . Why so?
2. Comparing 10.1 and 11, 10.1 was really fast and smooth and everything was working. In 11, i had to install google camera etc, but the issue here is that its really slow. WHY IS THAT SO?
3. What are the best running ROMs right now, preferably JB and KITKAT based.
Thanks .

I meant to say, which one suites you best.
Sorry for that though. If someone would like to answer the rest of two please
1. What the state of your phone bootloader?, still s-on or already s-off?
If still s-on.. did you not forget to flashing the boot.img too after restoring that rom?
2. Not sure about this.. maybe you try asking it in the rom thread it self..
3. Just try it your self what the rom that is suitable with you.. because the best think from someone is not mean always might be the best for you too..

Hello guys I just wanna inform you that there is something happening with the CM 11 4.4+ based ROMS
they deleted my Baseband and IMEI
I restored through KIES and got my Baseband and IMEI back but this thing keeps happening and I cannot figure out why?
It's painful procedure because I did this more then 10 times
First I had to Reflash everything through KIES which makes my phone as DEFAULT
then I had to ROOT and install the ROOTED Original 4.3 then I had to install Clockwork Mod with MOBILE ODIN in order for me to install different ROMS
after that I do FULL WIPE ALWAYS
Cache / Dalvik / Data / System even Internal Storage
I installed CM11 whatever ROM u choose:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2453586 (tried this one no success)
Tried this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565259 again the same thing Bad baseband
Also this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2493905 OMNI Rom (first installed older version everything was fine but when It updated to the latest OMNI I got the same Unknown Baseband and no DATA whatsoever)
so what the heck is going on? Please help me?
recovery might be the issue
I just had this problem yesterday. You wouldn't happen to be using TWRP recovery would you? I found that if I was using TWRP and Kit Kat AOKP I would have no service and my APN list would be empty. If I used Philz Custom recovery or CWM it would work fine.
I tried going downloading the newest 2.6.3.1 version of TWRP and it made my phone unable to boot. I had to flash another recovery via Odin in order to get back into my phone.
Just a thought.
I've had this issue as well and for some reason the latest nightlies don't play nice with my phone and recovery I'm using the latest official twrp for t0lte. Not t0ltetmo. I recently tried fishing the last multi window and I lost my microphone use. I have since reverted to a homemade build from January.. It seems to be the only thing that works.

Guys I used both CWM and TWRP both the latest versions... and this thing happen during both tries... I don't think it's the Recovery!
Hi! I'm sorry for my English, I have a problem with NFC.I have LG E975 and i have CM11-SNAPSHOT-M10 installed and I have Nandroid Backup of this rom.If I install a recent rom Nightly or SNAPSHOT M11 or M12, NFC don't work. But if i restore using my Nandroid Buckup CM11 SNAPSHOT M10,NFC work and everything is ok .How can I fix it? I would like to install C11-SNAPSHOT-M12 with NFC work.
Now I have this configuration: Lg E975,recovery CMW 6.0.4.5,Bootloader unlocked,Root access,Rom CM11-SNAPSHOT-M10.I think this problem is related to recovery or bootloader, is it possible? Because the same thing happens with the rom Lollipop
I also have this issue on m11 and m12, not sure what causes it, don't think recovery has to do with it tho.
I may have found the bug. When i have installed the first CM11 nightly and snapshot M10 I have cmw recovery 6.0.4.7. I noticed that I started to have problems with NFC and AutoRotate since I switched from recovery 6.0.4.7 to recovery 6.0.4.5.This problem only happens if I change rom.If restore backup everything returns to normal. Now i have reinstalled cmw recovery 6.0.4.7.Now I will try to install a SnapshotM12 or the new CM12 unofficial and i will see if the problem recurs.I remember that the samsung galaxy s2 had the same problem and was solved with a change of recovery.Io hope functions on LG OG.

Now that you mention it I'll try it too, using latest philz touch available to us, unnofficial. With official one I had no issues.
I have tested, I have installed the recovery CWM 6.0.4.7,but NFC does not work if I change Rom.If return to my Rom (CM11-snapshotM10) NFC works well.I don't know how to try again.

I tested it too with different recoveries, but that doesn't seem to be the issue. Man, gee ROMs have been ridded with performance issues lately and gproj ROMs have this and screen flickering. At least on the latest CM12 builds NFC seems to work out of the box so that's a really good thing.
Hi Folks,
I flashed Lollipop on to my M7 a while back, and am now looking to go back to Kit Kat. I have tried flashing CM 10 stable, Slim Rom..and one other Rom, with no luck. I boot into recovery, wipe, install...and TWRP just sits there spinning with the install at 0. I then have to restore my nandroid backup in order to use my phone. I have not tried flashing a sense based roms yet. What am I missing here? Any ideas?
Thanks,

What recovery are you using? It's been a while since I flashed anything AOSP but I have had that exact problem recently with sense roms if my recovery version didn't like whatever I was trying to install. I tried nusense with the newest official TWRP at the time and it kept hanging, but it worked after I flashed santod's unofficial TWRP. Then when I tried flashing stock deodex, the same unnoficial one kept choking. So I reverted back to the newest official and it worked fine.
To add a little more to what BranC85 posted. The whole by name partition vs mount point is probably the main problem here. also CM10 is jellybean and not Kit Kat.
if you want cm11 : https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=m7vzw&type=snapshot
if you want cm10: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=m7vzw&type=stable
as for recovery, i would suggest this: http://mdmower.cmphys.com/twrp-m7vzw/
specifically this build: twrp-2.8.6.4-m7univ.img (12 MB) (beta) it seems to work with mount point and by naming.
anyone have link custom rom for m7 802d?
