No matter what ROM (ASOP) I install I get no mobile data.
- Classic rom
- DU
- Liquid Smooth
- CM11
I went back to a TW rom, mobile data works fine.
What happens:
I get to the actcitave mobile data screen and it dials out, asks me to press 1, says it fails. If I skip this the it stays on trying to activate forever until I skip it. Once I skip it, nothing.
Under setting it says I'm on CDM+LTE/EVDO
Can anyone help?

No I use Phillz (latest version). I have had WAY too many issues with TWRP.
I'm guessing at this point I need to use Odin to flash back to a stock sprint rom/modem. I'm worried that it will brick the device if I try and flash backwards since I have been running KitKat roms. I guess I'd go back to Mk3 or restore MK4?
I was thinking about trying this

Alright, im not completely new to rooting but I have encountered a new problem.
I rooted my phone through odin (galaxy s3 T999), had some hiccups with that so I ended up downloading the stock rom tar and reflashed using that, problem solved good to go still rooted. awesome.
So, I attempted to flash the cyanogen rom using clockwork mod. it wouldn't come past the load screen, went into clockwork mod to recover my backup but for some reason it wouldn't let me access the SD card to get it. next thought was to go back to odin and flash the same file I used previously to get back to where I was, for some reason this is not working, I can get to download, use odin to flash it, says success and all that, then upoon rebooting it stays at the Samsung loading screen.
So from there I went and downloaded the GS3 toolkit and tried all of their recovery files, all having the same issue. about 18 flashes later I tried reformatting from the phone itself, same issue with the samsung logo being stuck. And now, I am currently baffled, anyone wanna help me out? I have a feeling it has something to do with the .pit option on odin, but I am not that advanced and its just a hunch. so...thanks in advance guys!
So I understand not to touch pit, roger, reading other posts makes that clear, but still cant find a fix, the top right of my download says
ODIN MODE
Product Name SGH-T999
Custom Binary yes: 19 counts
Current Binary Samsung Offical
System Status Custom
Qualcomm secureboot Enable
Okay, what is the current state of the device?
Whst do you see when you boot into recovery ( take battery out of phone the put it back in and do the following: hold volume up, home button and power button, let go of all buttons when you feel the phone vibrate and blue text flashes in the upper left corner of the screen)?

I just tried to send a rom over that had CWM 6.0.2.3 and it installed that, but still stuck on logo. going into recovery I am in CWM 6.0.2.3
have the standard options wipe/factory, install from zip etc.
You flashed a rom that had cwm 6.0.2.3 or did you flash a rom while on 6.0.2.3?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'd say about 98% of the time, when it hangs like that you just need to factory reset.

Flashed a rom that had 6.0.2.3. I do not have any roms on my ZIP, been doing everything through ODIN. Very confused as to why it suddenly stopped working.

tried to factory reset and it does the same logo stuck business. That was the last thing i tried after attempting to back up and reflash numerous times. tried flashing again recently, it will install CWM if it is attached to the rom but still gets stuck on the logo. tried re installing odin as well, it is working as usual, starts, restarts the phone, sits awhile, success. then i restart the phone and never get past logo.
I would do what Doc said.
If it still doesnt work, download a rom of your choice (in the t-999 section) and do a full wipe before flashing the rom you picked.

When flashing a new rom, you have to do a full wipe or youll run into problems like you are currently having.
If you dont know what a full wipe is, then stop what you are doing and put your phone down. Just about every rom thread here on xda explains what a full wipe is, it will be in the first post of the thread.
Like I said, find a rom you like in the t-999 section and flash it after doing a full wipe.

Looked it up, that is what I do by default, didn't know thats what was considered a full wipe, just tried it with similar results, didn't know about the dalvik cache though. im on a work computer so I cannot currently DL a new rom from the site, I hope thats what the issue is, but I still cannot see why my other ones would suddenly not work.

I'm just not sure what you mean by it installing CWM attached to a Rom? Recoveries shouldn't be included with a Rom.
Odin flash the root66 firmware, then reboot to STOCK recovery and factory reset. This will wipe all user data, including your internal sd card. Then try rebooting again.

Hi,
After I installed a custom rom i decided that I wanted to go back to stock 4.2.2. I installed it via odin, but now my wifi won't turn on. The whole reason I switch to a custom rom was that i wasn't receiving text messages mainly mms messages. Does anyone know a fix for this?
Thanks
Have you done a full wipe since odining back to stock? At least cache and dalvik.

Hi guys, I got a Telus S3 i747m, Running Slimkat stable 6.0 with the latest Twrp recovery, with the MK5 modem and bootloader. I flashed the latest kt747 kernel for aosp , and i cant get ktweaker app to work. It always says it has stopped. Even if i reboot the phone and dont open ktweaker, it says it has stopped. The kernel does show in the about phone section.
I have tried clean installing everything over again multiple times(wiping internal/cache/dalvik/system/data), to no success. Any ideas?
Greatly appreciate the help!
Cheers!
I also have this issue. Just clear data from the settings and you should be good.
You should make a profile so you don't have to load the same setting everytime you clear.

Delete the folder manually.
If that doesn't work, manually give it root (or force root).
MonarchX said:
I also have the same issue for the first time. I tried to FC, clean, and reset to default, as well as, deleting the folder. None of that worked. I use the latest AOKP KitKat 4.4.4 6-28-2014 release with latest 7-3-2014 KT747 Kernel.
I wonder if it occured because I couldn't clean/wipe ART. TWRP only allowed me to wipe/clean Dalvik, but no ART, which I assumed are in 2 different locations, requiring specific type of wiping.
How do I give it root? Can it be done with SManager?

ART is experimental and shouldn't be ran other than for testing purpose.
As for giving it root, you should be able to do so in SuperSU.
Am I out of luck with the OPG? Is there a way to flash a new rom or am I stuck with 4.1.2?
Unfortunately, Camera has stopped.
Addendum: I started with my phone showing E98010p. After the grand f.u.b.a.r. my phone shows E980g.
But I've not been able to flash.. It was easy to do when I had the otherwise insufferable Samsung <blech> Galaxy Note 2.
With the OPG, I place the rom file on my external, I go into recovery (cwm 6.4.7), I wipe it all, toggle loki, install).
Then after reboot, phone stuck on LG screen.
Unfortunately, Camera has stopped.
Why are you toggling loki?
Sent from my LG-E980 using XDA Free mobile app
Because that's the only way I can get the zip to install. Without toggling, the install aborts.
But even when the rom installs, I can't actually reboot to the new rom, it just gets stuck on LG screen.
Unfortunately, Camera has stopped.

After rooting, I just flashed freegee and from that on the ,e980, twrp and cwm work like a great.
Where did you get cwm from?
Sent from my LG-E980 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I got it working but only after using madmack TWRP. And I had to toggle Loki to disabled INSIDE the TWRP recovery before installing the zips.
Noticed that I capitalized the word " inside" ? ?
Some of the people here, if they were trying to explain, would not think it important to include that Nuance.

What recovery are you using?
I started with CWM that FreeGee puts on. Install aborts. Then using that same recovery, I toggle Loki to disable. Rom will install, but after rebooting either hangs on LG screen or keeps going back to recovery.
Then I used the TWRP that came with Freegee, but none of the touch buttons would respond while trying to use the TWRP.
Fortunately, I was told to use madmack's TWRP.
I first had to install that one which I did successfully by using the CWM recovery by Freegee. Freegee's CWM doesn't bootloop whenever just installing a recovery.
So once inside this TWRP, I was able to flash rom by toggling Loki to disable, then after flashing rom and gapps, I toggled Loki back to enable and everything was good.
I must add though that my battery life with CM 10.2 is just downright horrible. I'm considering just going back to stock.
I've used both CWM and TWRP... Both from FreeGee, never any problems. As far as battery life, have you tried madmack's modem?
