Hi,
After I installed a custom rom i decided that I wanted to go back to stock 4.2.2. I installed it via odin, but now my wifi won't turn on. The whole reason I switch to a custom rom was that i wasn't receiving text messages mainly mms messages. Does anyone know a fix for this?
Thanks
Have you done a full wipe since odining back to stock? At least cache and dalvik.

I don't have the custom recovery anymore so I was able to do factory reset and cache.

I think this is really the solution. I tried this and afterwards, its working now but today something is wrong again. It keeps on disconnecting and I cannot control notifications, very unstable. T_T

I have installed MIUI 2.3.23 on my wife's epic, and the text is not working. I saw where this is an issue and it was recommended to use 2.3.16. Do I need to wipe data and cache to flash 2.3.16, or can I just flash it? Sorry if that is a bonehead question; just trying to save a few steps, but don't want to mess this thing up.
Sam
Wipe everything and flash clean other wise you'll end up transfering the corrupt data

Thanks for the quick reply. I did this.
I've flashed 2.3.23, 2.3.16, 2.1.16, and now 1.12.23.
I wiped everything (cache, dalvik cache, and data) each time. I cannot get the thing to receive texts. Sends them fine, but won't receive them. I have searched the forums, but can't find the answer. What have I missed?
Thanks,
Sam

You're on miuigb? I flashed 1.12.23 over 2.3.16 no problem, didn't even clear data, Odining could always help but maybe just flash another rom and go back, to MIUI...

Yes, I am currently on the GB version. Started with the most recent ICS, and I have been working my way back through the versions thinking one would allow texting to work, but none have. I'm in the process of restoring the CM7 backup to see if that will work.
Thanks for the input. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Hi
I am new to the forum, and being the noob that I am would like to ask some help from you guys. I have been receiving multiple error messages ranging from "Unfortunatley, Camera has stopped" to android.process.media has stopped as well. I have tried installing different roms, kernels, fixing the permissions all the way to completely formatting the SD card and using Odin to install the stock ROM again. I am at a loss as to what to do, any help at all would be extremely appreciated.
Thanks for your time!

When I installed the Stock ROM again using Odin, I performed all the steps you listed above before I installed the Rom in a last ditch effort, I will try it again. Thanks for the information, but are there any other suggestions?
I had this problem using tge beats installer from the market. I had to go back to stock and reroot. Doing a factory reset help. If that fails, i noticed uninstalling the failed apps and reinstalling worked but of course doing that for stock apps isnt as easy

Background - I rooted and installed CWM recovery through Toolkit. Realized every time I "Factory Reset" in CWM recovery it would complete wipe my internal storage. Ok so I installed TWRP using the tookit. Then installed other roms and notice EVERY rom I've installed errors right after boot-up with "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped". Upgrading to latest TWRP didn't fix it.
I've tried to wipe everything. Even tried format internal storage. Flash multiple roms again and still same error.
I'm thinking it was CWM "Factory Reset" wiping all my internal storage could of messed up my internals... maybe the file format? Something else I can try?
Phone is still usable, just every time it starts up - error shows up twice. It might pop up again once in a while when i'm using it.
BTW when I was "Factory Reset" in CWM it always made my phone "Activate with sprint" again... like it was a brand new phone.
Try odining back to stock then redo root and ROM flashing and see if that helps.

no, if you ODIN back to the stock unrooted with the file from -viperboy-'s thread it will change your recovery as well.

Well reverting back to CWM fixes the process error, but it also completely wipes the device in recovery. So every time I wipe it needs to "hands-free activate" w/ sprint and lose all my internal storage. Oh well, no process errors!
This is my favorite ROM so far - BeanStalk - but I cannot get access to the latest build
I am looking for the BeanStalk 4.3 ROM for my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 3. I see it for the S 4 but not the 3. Can someone direct me to the download page?

Sounds like you didn't wipe properly, or possibly your APN's got erased if no mobile connection.

wiped and checked it twice
I did a cache and a d-wipe. I then re downloaded both gapps and Rom. Restored back to 4.2 and tried again to no avail. Are we sure the download url is corrected?

That's not a clean install and your laying one rom on top of another. You need to wipe cache and dalvik and do factory reset. Factory reset will wipe date from previous rom installed.
Especially needed when going from one type of system 4.2 to another type of system 4.3

Will try again
Before I restored I did a factory reset and than tried again. But I will do it as you say. Wipe cache, wipe davlik and factory reset. Than install 4.3 and then gapps 08132013. An I correct?

Ok good and everything works? Then stay there there are lots of issues till with 4.3 connection and signal being the biggest ones. Wait until they make those Kangs more stable.
Just curious did you flash the repair for data and root that they have in the thread?
EDIT:
OK also since you asked TW roms are based on stock Md4, these are roms built on actual source and released roms. They are extremely stable and for the most part everything works as Samsung intended it to.
You are using an Aosp rom built from CM source which in its own right is a Kang. A Kang is a copy that has been modded to work for a specific phone but the original came from some there source or device. There is no such thing as aosp, 4.2 or 4.3 for the S3 thus all these 4.2 and 4.3 roms are put together from other devices. That's why many of them have connectivity issues. Also why you can't update prl and profile or use sprint diagnostics tools with them.

galaxy note 2 running android 4.4.2 stock rom, wifi bluetooth and hotspot not working properly. When i turn wifi or bluetooth on , it tries to turn on but does not turn on and gets back to off. While trying to turn on hotspot it says error. But sometimes when i try pulling out the battery directly and then turning on the phone, some times not always, they start working normally for sometime, but in a while they turn off automatically and same problem occurs. Please Help!
Thats wierd,on stock rom it should be all working, did you ever flashed something else than stock rom?
Also, not to loose all data make yourself backup with kies, and perform cache clean up from the stock recovery,if that does not help ,than do factory reset and see if that helps.
