My android version is jellybean not kitkat
You have to use Evolution Kernel (Stock) from here. You choose the version though it's always better to use the latest. Give v.1.7.9 a try as its latest from k2wl stable.
Please tell me which to choose

I know that u r messing up things. Read the warning of the thread which u have given as link. That kernel is only for CM/AOSP Roms based on Kitkat. U said u r on stock ROM that's why i have given link for Evolution Kernel Stock. If u are unable to follow what has been suggested, I cannot suggest u any further on this. Sorry.

Hello,
I tried flashing v1.7.9 from recovery. I wiped cache and dalvik cache... I'm stuck in boot loop.... For now, I've restored from my back up. KIndly give me a solution to get back to stock kernel..
Right now, I'm on a custom kernel 3.0.31- 1262039 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jun 13 20:16:26 KST 2013. I want to get back to stock kernel, so that I can upgrade to stock rom 4.2.2
Hello! I'll be posting pure AOSP builds whenever there are new versions of android released (providing I have the time).
If you choose to use these builds, please ensure you have unlocked your bootloader and have custom recovery installed. I have also noticed that TWRP seems a little wonky at this point, so in order for me to flash it correctly, I had to wipe, then restart recovery, then flash. Hope that's not the case for everyone else.
3/18/15
Added ability to change DPI.
3/15/15
No longer messes with recovery at all. Bluetooth working, data does not force encrypt.
3/13/15
Android 5.1.0_r1 (LMY47D)
This release will wipe your recovery. If anyone needs this changed let me know and I will build another.
1/3/2015
Android 5.0.2_r1 (LRX22G)
Data is now encryptable, meaning your unencrypted data should stick going forward.
Included my own build of stock kernel with Linaro 4.9.3 toolchain.
Fixed bluetooth (thanks Lollipopalooza/Craig)
No longer need to re-flash recovery.
12/6/2014
Android 5.0.1_r1 (LRX22C)
You will need to install separate gapps
You will need to re-flash your custom recovery after you install (you all let me know if I should change this or not, I think I will on future builds)
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your device or to you, yourself while flashing this.
Latest DL Links will be in post #2.

From what I understand the apps themselves need to be optimized for 64 internally. These are all Google apps so they are if Google did so. As you update from the play store you don't choose if you're running 64bit or not.
As always I can be wrong.

Edit: Okay so I used an app to look at which sensors were working and which ones weren't... The proximity sensor is not working at all.

I use USBhost's version of TWRP. I tried to flash the rom following directions in OP. It wouldn't flash. First it said for flounder and this device is flounder. Also said something about updater binary. I got this with the other rom also. I tried un-mounting and mounting system, but I still got the error messages. Any ideas?

I manually changed it to work with official twrp... Not sure why twrp is calling it volantis instead of flounder but that's why. Also, to get anything to flash in twrp at the moment, I have to reboot recovery after wiping. Hope this helps.

To maximize the capabilities of kernels, flash:
UKM
install the Synapse app from the playstore,
and remove or disable Trickstermod, Faux control, or any in-ROM kernel control apps and settings.
there are some great AK and HD profiles on synapse for mako, which run well on gee too. check it here and here.
To import Synapse profiles
Download profile and save to the saved_profiles folder inside your Synapse folder.
Make sure you're using the latest UKM script
In Synapse, go to profiles
Select the profile, be sure to click the check mark on top and then select restore.
Restart Synapse
When it restarts, select the X, not the √.
Sometimes you have to restart synapaenagain to see updated CPU settings.

AWESOME
with those kernels being nexus 4 i understand that storage and camera (and who knows what else) wont work correctly right?
example storage will be smaller and camera wont have 13mpixel mode etc.
This are ported to Optimus G so it will work normally, and with stock camera driver.
It shouldn't work only on geeb that it's different, but for that i think JuatinXu as ported on other thread

Are we supposed to flash the UPDATE-adreno-drivers-deb-flo-mako.zip provided in the folder linked in Kitkat section without hard bricking ? Has anyone tried it and ran some benchmarks ?
Another question : I flashed the AOSP AK kernel from kitkat section just after installing the kitkat mokee release onto my LG-E975(international). After rebooting, the device got stuck at the AK bootscreen (assuming it replaces the usual mokee bootscreen). What did I do wrong ? Any ideas ? Thanks.

now the changelog are in the second post (inserted in sliding lists)
THE RED TEXT AT BOOT IT'S NORMAL (kernel is not seandroid enforcing)
I have extracted the kernel of the 18.5.2015 build of CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM that I still found on my pc. this kernel does not know what but when you flash, you can charge the phone when it is off (offline charging is fixed)
installation procedure (recommended for CWM recovery):
1) download the "kernel 12-1 cm fixed offline charging.img"
2) download "Flashify_FULL_v1-9-2.apk"
3) flash the kernel image with the app "flashify
4) reboot the device
it is not necessary to wipe the Dalvik cache / cache, the next boot is equal to all others.
those with any version of TWRP recovery may also flash conveniently selecting "install zip" and the lower right corner select IMAGE. (After select "boot")
This kernel can also be flashed in the resurrection remix and blisspop and an other ROM based on cyanogenmod running 5.1.1 (100% fix the offline charging)
I recommend making a backup before changing the device's kernel
thanks for your installation
(press thanks if you fix the offline charging and not have problem)

BUG:
WiFi doesn't work:
if you find other bug write a comment
[POSSIBILE FIX FOR WIFI](100% testing but not dangerous):
in the version 1.1 the "modules" can also be flashed with any recovery you have (I do not guarantee to 100%), I tried to flash with the TWRP and have successfully flashed the fix which contains the modules.
the difference of the "1st wifi fix" and "2nd wifi fix" is that the former contains the "modules" of the build 5.18.2015 from where I extracted the kernel while the second contains the "modules" of last build (25-12-2015 of rox). you try the first fix, if it does not work try the second. if you want to create a fix do it and how, if you have one working with this kernel share it and publish it on the thread. thanks for your testing
v1.2:
-added a fix with folders (/system/etc/firmware/wlan) e (/system/etc/wifi) with modules of build 18-5-15 relative of wifi when possibile can improve the fix (download file "1.2 wifi fix(FLASHABLE).zip" in "attach files")
recommended installation:
download the wifi fix in "attach files" at the end of thread
flash the zip with your recovery o the app flashify (you can find the app also in '"attach files"
reboot the device (do not wipe the dalvik cache, it is not necessary )
if you try manually to put the modules on system, download the "modules" folder (folder "modules.zip" and "modules folder last (build 25-12-15) (not for flashing).zip" in "attach files") extract the zip with any zip extractor and put in this folder(and not on the other side):
/ system / lib /
after, reboot the device
[/LIST]
if the wifi fix works great press "thanks" of the thread, if you have any problems please write a comment and try to solve it
FUTURE NEWS:
-if the renix63's kernel will be fixed thanks to this successfully and has no other bugs, I do not think that I continue with my updates.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BykGGWB96CBQR1VIb3QtdGpsTmM
I initiated the fetch of the repo files via
lunch lineage_sumire-userdebug
and added the blobs repo,
then restarted the build ...
From now on
both LineageOS and Resurrection Remix are unified builds that work on Single SIM and Dual SIM devices - no separate kernel or ROM needed !
Resurrection Remix: already IS the unified build (thread is currently parked at the General Subforum: Resurrection Remix 5.8.2 for Xperia Z5 (unified build) )
LineageOS: please download the unified LineageOS builds from olivier: lineageOS ROM (as mentioned at: LineageOS thread )
those are NOT boot-tested but should work (need testing + feedback)
Reserved (3)
Notes:
The preamp of FauxSound or the actual sound/soc driver state seems to be a bit "mushy",
thus the white noise (swoosh-ing, hiss-ing) is a bit high - reduce headphone amp by 10 or 15 (-10 or -15) so that you get a clear and well-defined output,
it really depends on your headphones - with in-ear it is most likely more noticable.
This was with unmodified "stock"/"upstream" lineageOS kernel source and with a bit patched up - so nothing I can and will change
Kernel source:

Thanks, I hope you don't forget dsds variant.
It is a pleasure to have SunKernel in LineageOS.
Thanks @zacharias.maladroit
I will try after released stable LineageOS for dsds and SunKernel.
Flashing lineage and kernel, looking forward to try it
Thanks for upload

I think the tree sources are unified so is there a need for special kernel for dsds? I'll try this one on my E6683.

please update to the lineageOS builds from Olivier,
unless he has uncommitted changes locally in his repos - there are no changes,
my lineageOS build is at patchlevel March 5th 2017,
so with recent changes the kernel (more precisely the ramdisk) might be incompatible with the old builds from @Myself5

it might work, but you most likely run into a bootloop, too, if you're not using latest lineageOS builds (those from Olivier)
In this minute i downloaded fresh update, flashed in this order:
1. lineage-14.1-20170316-UNOFFICIAL-sumire
2. open_gapps-arm64-7.1-nano-20161104
3. UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.78-20160905010000
4. Z5_SK_Enf_v14.1_I.3_sum
lineage from olivier from below link:
https://dl.olivierk.at/sumire/lineage-14.1/
lineage-14.1-20170316-UNOFFICIAL-sumire
i still get bootloop, scren is dimed, lineage animation keeps going for couple of secs, screen goes bright and bootloop from there on, waiting 10+ minutes now... maybe old superuser zipfile for this task? dont know realy, will make clean install

Yes, on latest build by oliver it ran into bootloop.
actually this goes into bootloop, flashed latest olivier's lineageos.
edit : is there any proper order of flashing ? and can you share lineageos build that you are on ?
@zacharias.maladroit: Thank you a lot for your work. We should be very thankful to every developer on the Z5!
Just gave your Kernel a try on latest olivier's lineageos (0316). Got a bootloop. After 20 minutes, I did a power reset and dirty reflashed latest olivier's lineageos (0316) via TWRP. Telephone was functional again.

yes, currently uploading
I'd install LineageOS + gapps (opengapps),
go through all steps,
then go into TWRP, make a backup and attempt to flash the kernel.
I haven't flashed the ROM via zip,
I flashed it via the .img files and fastboot since the updater-script seemed to cause trouble ...

Can you guys post the content of the updater-script (in
Code:
tags), that works for you ?
I removed the assert line but it still didn't work for me,
also booting the stock ROM kernel via fastboot doesn't seem enough anymore,
it has to be flashed, then the VOL DOWN button pressed to reach TWRP on the recovery partition.
If you reach TWRP via a different method please let me know :)
Thanks

I flashed the rom by flashing pixn kernel then booting into twrp when purple led comes on and it flashes rom normaly and to access twrp later i have to use your stock kernel and type fastboot boot boot.img and it can go into recovery, but can't flash lineageos because of that error 7.

might be that upstream changed the content of updater-script,
that's why I ask for a working variant ;)
