LG G3 (F400) introduces Split View function, which is similar to that in Samsung Note 3 / S5. This might be good for those who need to work and check another screens at the same time. However, the number of softwares supporting this function in G3 is very a bit few with a list for users to choose. I wonder if we could add other way to widen the choices. I wonder if we can customise the use of apps for the split view. Thank you for your concern.
All apps are supported. Its the same split view in the LG flex, G2 and Pro 2 that we've had for months. Much better than Samys version.

Well, I got the D855 and I only have 10 standard apps for choose. Is there an option or a mod to add more? I'd really like to have Whatsapp in the list.

I have a singapore release of the optimus g. I am looking to encrypt the phone for work email related access. Under the security menu, there's no encyption menu unlike my older galaxy s2. I checked with lg support and their feedback was just no. Is there a work around for this? Thank you

Custom roms should have this. I checked in the security menu of PACman and it has an option for encryption. Havent tried it though.
Thanks for the feedback.. Unfortunately my company does not allow rooted phones to be used.. I think it back to the s2 for now..

I personally think the DPI is to big on the stock version of G3, has anybody successfully decreased it to anything under 380dpi?

You need to root and use the app Texdroid. The stock DPI is around 650ish (can't remember exactly).

I've not took the step to root just yet. I used texdriod on my note 3 and its an excellent app. 650!!!!! Wow that is huge, i wonder why they went for that size?

Not to sure, that's why i haven't installed texdriod just yet in case i boot loop my G3. Has anyone installed it yet and got it working?

Yeah, I've used texdroid to change it. I used Towelroot to root. Very easy. Everything works fine.

I changed mine and it went fubar! my phone app/contacts app etc all showing the little green android app and when I click on them, they crash. Back to stock for me

Yeah stock launcher, i switched to nova but couldn't find the contacts app etc. Said half my apps were missing

Can't get my head round stock keyboards anymore. Last one I used was the Note 3 stock one.. Always always end up on Googles keyboard. Can't get used to the HTC one on my M8 either.

Give 590 a try for the DPI. As I wait for my G3 to arrive I've been reading up on changing the DPI on the phone as that will be the very first thing I do after rooting. I've been reading around that people have been testing anywhere from 500-650 with mixed results but 590 seems to be the perfect sweet spot in getting everything to look the proper size without losing any functionality.
If I had my phone I'd try it. But if someone wants to go ahead and give it a go, I'd be curious to hear about the results from you guys.
I'm using 530. Perfect for me. Followed setting from G2 where I went from 480 to 400 (17% decrease)

Good deal. Nothing is broken for you at this setting?
If using stock launcher any DPI but stock 650 will cause apps to FC when opened. Plus it'll green Android some of the LG Apps like contacts, phone, camera etc. Works fine on Nova and Apex just not stock.

I have a new AT&T LG G 3 and was deleting apps and ill admit i went over board and deleted it. I would like to see if anyone can send me the apk. Also anyone know how to get the health app to work on a different launcher, because i cant find the app for it. It only shows up under the stock launcher. THANKS!

If you have Apex launcher you can add a shortcut to your home screen, choose activities and find the LG Health(or whatever it's called) activity. Now when you click that, it'll open LG Health without having to go to LG's home.
Stopped by here looking for the QMemo+ apk... I happened to lose mine too.

I'm sorry to bring up an old thread but I just pruchased the LG-D850 for AT&T on Ebay and when I received it, it didn't have QMemo+ along with a few basic missing options (can't add grid lines to camera, no option to add Multi-Task Pane to buttons on bottom, etc). Does anybody still have the apk for QMemo+ for the G3?? I'm hoping it will help some.
Also, I have seen "LG Update Center" as a solution from some pages, what is this?

I need it as well. Mine is suddenly missing, so I assume I accidentally deleted it. I really need it for notes and the integration into the phone would be the best way to use it!
