Viper ROM has it displayed in the stock battery app, he could be running a custom ROM or on an older version of android, if I remember well kit Kat for some reason disables that?...

Have you tried installing current widget to see what is exactly happening, or how much voltage is going through your phone, even though it's sleeping? (ie, screen off)
I have not tried yet

This happened to me a few times (with almost no apps running) on RC7. Updating to 2.01 seems to have fixed that for me.
If that doesn't help, try using a different kernel and/or a different radio version and see if that works for you (we're reduced to experimentation as nobody has ben able to determine what exactly causes this issue).
I'm well impressed with mine. I went to bed with it fully charged, used it a bit in bed, always play a game and check the forums. Not plugged in at all and woke up this morning and its still fully charged!!
Amazing, since I have yahoo messenger running always. Been using it a lot since I woke up and now on 96% but I know its mainly the screen that uses a lot.
Brilliant ROM tbh
See if this helps:

well it's not really going to save your battery life, it just lets you see when/how the battery is being used up
Yes we can atleast know what apps are eating our battery.

Rc 7has better battery life than oxygen 2rom l
In the whole night it eats only 4% battery
Oxygen 2has some big fault it drains battery for some people.
But its modrators are not ready to accept it.
But its a bug.

Have you tried re-calibrating your battery?
Yeah dear I have tried but battery celebration apps required 100% charging for celebration.. but my device has always showing under 60% charging that's why its not works..

If u know any other idea for battery calibration so kindly tell me, will really thankful

Is it in your status bar that it shows the incorrect value?
Try going to Settings > About Phone > Status
It should tell you the correct value there. If it still shows up as the incorrect value i believe it could be a problem with your actual battery.

In your case, you don't need an app for calibration. Since you can't get your phone to show correct status, reboot into Recovery, go to Advanced and Wipe Battery Stats. Reboot phone, Run Wifi, Bluetooth, Torch, Music and anything that could drain battery faster altogether until the battery runs down and switches itsef off. Try recharging and see the result.
Hope it helps.
Cheers.
Thank u so much to all of u..

This is strange... Changing the battery is not an option as it works well... Have you tried flashing another ROM?
If I may ask, did this battery issue started when you flashed CM7?

Its happened to quite a few people since I've been around this forum, dont think anyone has pinned down a particular reason for it happening and the only explanation from HTC is that its a mobo fault........

May be its a mobo fault but this is truth that I am facing this issue after flashing cm7.2..!
I have been told this rom working almost perfactly and such a nice and smoother one but before I was used Sunabh Rom v.1.1 by Vibhus which is also nice rom and had never facing issue like this on my previous rom..

i have been experiencing the same problem with the battery .. doesn't seem to get past the 70% mark. I started noticing this few weeks into using CM7 ( currently using CM7.2 RC3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1698029 the issue still remains) At first i found out that if i reboot my phone after putting it to charge , it would charge all the way to 100 %. But slowly that too started fading and now nothing i do gets it above 70%. even got a new battery to no avail, and i cant get more than 5 to 6 hrs with the battery .. the battery drain is incredible
am i using an incorrect kernel or something ?? any help is appreciated .. thanks in advance !
My opinion is its something to do with your phone itself, if it was software/kernel related we would all most likely get the same problem as we are all using the same piece of software.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I too have this problem mine does not charge beyond 79% sometimes 75%. With my experience this is too do with the kernel that CM7 uses. If I restart the device it will show 100%.
If I go back to the stock kernel the charging goes all the way to 100%.
Either my charger has broken or its the overclock-able kernel.
I have tried every other method out there.
The battery performance is good BTW.

[Q] Battery Problem..!!

hi,
i am having problem with my battery.it is draining too much fast..now a days battery back is around 8-9h.i daily use only mobile internet(2g)..what i suppose to do??help me..
current rom:- android revolution hd 21.0(with some extra mod)
kernel:- n3ocort
When did your telephone battery started draining?
Did you change anything or install some apps?
Verstuurd van mijn HTC One X met Tapatalk
battery started draining around 4-5 days ago..i have some system+kernel tweaking app, some normal apps and games..
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Whenever this happens to me I just start from scratch. Back up any of the stuff I really want to keep (pictures, and themes usually) and then do a factory reset/full wipe, battery stats and cache etc. I then reinstall the rom, or install a different one.
This has always fixed it for me, infact it has fixed most problems for me. Overheating and lag as well as battery drain!
i did many times...is this happaning bacause of custom kernel??should i install stock kernel??

Task manager is what you need. I know it was discussed many times and classified as redundant, but I had same issue like you. Fully charged battery was dropping faster than petrol from my bmw 540i. Within 4 hours down to 54%. Now, installed Clean Master from play store, and using built in task killer and can tell you its a HUGE improvement. With this app now battery show 82% in same period with same settings. Try it out and you'll see...

[Q] HOX Recent Battery Drain, tried posted solutions

Hey Everyone,
Just recently I have been having the battery on my HTC One X Drain from 100% from when I go into work to being dead by 3pm.
I realize this is something that is asked very frequently so I am sorry for reposting but I am not that familiar with how to read into battery monitoring programs and what I should change on my phone. Currently I have been keeping my WiFi and data off and the only thing I do is the occasional text at work and it is still draining that fast.
I have downloaded GSam Battery Monitor, Smart WIFi Toggler and Juice Defender but it doesn't seem to be making a change. I can upload screen shots but I am not sure what you would all need to see to help me fix the problem. I have only had the phone for about a month.
Thanks,
Patrick
Check from gsam battery monitor whats using ur battery so bad.. post screenshots plz

Install wakelock detection that Will show you what's using your battery, I would uninstall juice defender in my opinion they don't really help

It won't let me select any option in the tool bar to upload pictures. Could someone please advise me how to do so and I will get all the pictures uploaded ASAP.
Also, what screenshots would you like off of GSam and Wakelock?
Thanks
When posting there is an option to attach media.. take a screen shot and then attach it

I hope this helps

You shpuld probably flash another phone radio or best re install the rom after a full wipe i.e. wipe cache, wipe dalvik, wipe system and factory reset.. your radio is the problem here

Btw.. are you unlocked and rooted? With custom recovery? Or all is stock?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Nope the phone is stock. I have never done anything like that with a phone before but more than willing to learn. The way its working right now is ridiculous.
If u intend to stay stock.. then you should once try factory reset fully.. or if you want to go the unlocking way which is risky but equally rewarding go the this link:

Will I have to back up pictures and contacts with the Factory reset? Also is it recommended that someone like me who has never done it tries unlocking it? I will probably whichever I do tonight. Thanks again!
Its better to backup your pictures, contacts and music to a pc for later restore.. and well regarding the unlocking and rooting, it entirely depends on your wish better if u make a person who knows such things do it for u..
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Okay, not going to unlock it. I am going to use the sync manager to back everything up and then I will factory reset.
What do you recommend I download afterwards to monitor my phone?
Also is there a thread on the site that give the best directions to reset/charging/anything else I need to do for optimal performance.
Sorry for all the questions, I am not familiar with this kinda stuff

Its pretty simple to be honest.. factoey reset via the settings menu.. then setup ur phone again.. charge it to 100.. use till 20% and charge again.. after 3 cycles from 100 to 20.. ypu should get representable battery stats

I think that's within usual standards of our Sense 5.
but if you are really complaining about it
1-use system wake detector from play store and see whats wasting your battery
or
2- try factory reset your device
I did a factory reset, charged to 100% and left my phone for a night to see wakelocks.

If you don't use google now, google + disable them in settings/apps/all, you will have more free ram and better battery, i did it and everything work the same.
