i am having problem with my battery.it is draining too much fast..now a days battery back is around 8-9h.i daily use only mobile internet(2g)..what i suppose to do??help me..
current rom:- android revolution hd 21.0(with some extra mod)
kernel:- n3ocort
When did your telephone battery started draining?
Did you change anything or install some apps?
Verstuurd van mijn HTC One X met Tapatalk
battery started draining around 4-5 days ago..i have some system+kernel tweaking app, some normal apps and games..

Whenever this happens to me I just start from scratch. Back up any of the stuff I really want to keep (pictures, and themes usually) and then do a factory reset/full wipe, battery stats and cache etc. I then reinstall the rom, or install a different one.
This has always fixed it for me, infact it has fixed most problems for me. Overheating and lag as well as battery drain!
i did many times...is this happaning bacause of custom kernel??should i install stock kernel??

Try the program better battery stats from the playstore and find out what is draining your phone.
Maybe some bad app

Task manager is what you need. I know it was discussed many times and classified as redundant, but I had same issue like you. Fully charged battery was dropping faster than petrol from my bmw 540i. Within 4 hours down to 54%. Now, installed Clean Master from play store, and using built in task killer and can tell you its a HUGE improvement. With this app now battery show 82% in same period with same settings. Try it out and you'll see...

Have you tried installing current widget to see what is exactly happening, or how much voltage is going through your phone, even though it's sleeping? (ie, screen off)
I have not tried yet

This happened to me a few times (with almost no apps running) on RC7. Updating to 2.01 seems to have fixed that for me.
If that doesn't help, try using a different kernel and/or a different radio version and see if that works for you (we're reduced to experimentation as nobody has ben able to determine what exactly causes this issue).
I'm well impressed with mine. I went to bed with it fully charged, used it a bit in bed, always play a game and check the forums. Not plugged in at all and woke up this morning and its still fully charged!!
Amazing, since I have yahoo messenger running always. Been using it a lot since I woke up and now on 96% but I know its mainly the screen that uses a lot.
Brilliant ROM tbh
See if this helps:

well it's not really going to save your battery life, it just lets you see when/how the battery is being used up
Yes we can atleast know what apps are eating our battery.

Rc 7has better battery life than oxygen 2rom l
In the whole night it eats only 4% battery
Oxygen 2has some big fault it drains battery for some people.
But its modrators are not ready to accept it.
But its a bug.

head to This thread....it may help u...
so i did a calibration.
Let it uncharge until it turned off - then boot recovery and wiped battery stats. Then reload and charged it full , but my battery is still going down by 30% by night (wifi off and nothing done)
But i figured out, that my mobile-standby used about 28% when the screen just used 44%. This is since i flashed the new ruu and updated the radio. Maby the radio is ****?!
No one have the same problem? I cant charge my battery the day before, because its now at 55% after a night. That cant be normal. So how could i bricket my battery?

All bugs which you find in cm 10 would be there in miui also along with a few more bugs.
Now, the battery issue has been resolved i think.
use cm9 for now as it is almost complete....miui is a battery strainer, cause it needs resources to function properly, i was using cm10 but i needed the camera si i am using cm9 rc3

Try to calibrate you battery using better battery stats app. Or wipe your battery stats in recovery.
try betterbatterystats, make sure there isnt an app draining your battery and making wakelocks to keep yourcpu running

If our suggestions doesnt work, i think you should replace your battery.
I'm not quite sure how to use better battery stats... It can't be my battery because before on the stock rom the battery was great

Try battery calibration from app store or clean battery stats from recovery.
Sent It From Outer Space.
Agreed, calibrate the battery. If not try CM7 with a fresh calibrated battery.

Oh god its unusable now, its on kangbang but its unbearably slow, the battery jumps from 4% to 99% and when I unplig it the phone shuts down randomly. Most apps make the phone freeze up and I have to take the battery out. Could this have anything to do with I used HTCDev and flashed a custom boot.img and the rom in CWM?

Install BetterBatteryStats to figure out which apps are eating your battery. And I'm assuming you full wiped (system, data, cache)?
More to report.
I've moved to my 5th and hopefully final rom (viperhd) and I still get the random reboot I got on every other Rom. The battery is still horrid but speed has improved. I have no idea how to use better battery stats. And I tried battery calibration from the market and wiping battery stats, both did nothing

In BBS, take screenshots of kernel wakelocks, partial wakelocks and alarms after the phone has been on battery for awhile. Post them here.

Hi guys,
I've had a less than impressive battery life after I had Cyanagenmod installed on my hox. I know it's the norm for the screen to be the highest consider of the battery. However as you see in the screenshot it's the OS. Is there something I should do?
I can lose half my battery life consumed in an hour of moderate use.
Help would be appreciated, thanks

Consumer* not consider.

Well in general aosp Roms use more juice than sense roms.. have you tried those? Before you do that though, have you checked what drains your battery with an app? You can also use greenify to hibernate apps running in the background
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Thanks for your reply. I'll try greenify, what app do you recommend to check which apps use more juice?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Well I'm not sure if I can give any recommendation, but I use Gsam battery monitor (Something along those lines..)
There are alot of apps on the play store that do the same so just get one that suits your needs
I would advise against any app that says to improve battery life.
They scan for apps then shut them down, if that process didn't finished their task the os starts them up again only to be closed.
They do more harm than good.
I would suggest using a custom kernel and underclock/undervolt.
Lower screen auto brightness amounts.
