Wanting to drop stock(latest) back onto my phone as the person buying it wants that. I want to say I remember reading I needed a newer bootloader for 4.4.2. I got my device on launch and got tired of waiting and went to CM11.
What if anything other than clearing data/cache and flashing the stock deodexed/rooted ROM would I need to do? If there is a bootloader, is it a separate odin file? or flashable .zip?

If you're on 4.3 still you will have to Odin a stock 4.3 firmware on to the phone. You can not have a custom recovery on the phone so the Odin way will also replace the custom recovery with stock recovery. Then once your phone is stock, you can then take the update to 4.4.2
If I'm not mistaken, you should download the 4.4.2 fw and Odin that on you phone as well. Even though you are Odining your new fw, the phone must be fully stock or that update will still fail.

Well I was on 4.3 stock then went to Cyanogen 4.4.2. I've now got the deodexed/rooted stock 4.4.2 from the forum here and was able to boot it using leankernel. It works and the buyer is satisfied with it. He know how to flash updated ROMs so he can change later anyway. Thanks for the response though, I was thinking noone was gonna answer.

If you want the newest/latest official stock N900T KitKat firmware why not do the following:
You need to download and Odin flash the official stock KitKat N900T NE6 firmware.
Here is the direct fast download link for it:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358537528
The above zip file also contains Odin, CF-Autoroot and TWRP 2.7.0.1 recovery.
Be sure to go into recovery before Odin flashing NE6 and do a factory data reset
and a full wipe. Optional: Then Odin flash cf-autoroot and the TWRP 2.7.0.1.
If you want more information and or instructions here is the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...60&postcount=2
If you want the older official stock N900T 4.4.2 NB4 KitKat rom you can
download it from: http://tekunix.com/downloads/TMB-N900TUVUCNB4-20140305155920.zip
and Odin flash it instead of the stock NE6 official N900T firmware.
Both the older and newer official Kitkat stock roms come with the required bootloaders/baseband.
Good luck!

So clear data/factory reset and clear cache in recovery. Reboot into download and flash NE6, then cf-autoroot, then TWRP? I didn't see you say exactly when to flash NE6.

I am on firmware 4.3 that I rooted a while ago. I would like to unroot 4.3 however I cannot figure out how. I thought I could flash stock 4.3 via Odin but there are no .tar versions of 4.3. Help?

Do you have the full stock version of 4.3 or the modified (unrooted) version? You can check your phone's settings and build number to see if it's MJB or MJ2. You can try unrooting from the SuperSU app. The definitive solution to unrooting is indeed to flash a complete stock image. An Odin flashable *.tar file was recently developed. There have, however, been reports on outcome. You can flash custom recovery to your phone (either of CWM or TWRP) and use the instructions in the thread below to download and flash a complete stock restore.

I need above STOCK 4.3 for my i747. It now has a Rooted 4.3 with CWM Recovery Mode. I need to get it back to Stock with Stock Samsung Recovery so I can then do the OTA update that is out to 4.4.2. Assume reason I can not get this update to install as phone is now is because it is rooted and does not have Stock Recovery. It downloads the update but will not install the update after download and reboot. Does this sound correct as to why I can not get OTA to install?? Thanks for help on this and send me the steps to get it back to Stock 4.3 with Odin and version of Odin to use. Not sure if need to do wipe/factory reset and wipe cache before you would install Stock 4.3 .tar file in Odin. Hope to hear from someone that has Done this before so I know it will work. Thanks Guys

Everything you need is in here. I hope this helps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2789917
I rooted my dad's phone a while back ago so he can use tethering in case of emergencies etc. He recently got a smart watch and I wanted to updated it so that he can use it. But it has not been touched since that day. I essentially want rooted stock rom, I'm unaware of where to find that the closest I can find is StockMod kitkat. Which seems to not work on ATT phones? I just want to make sure that I don't brick his only phone on christmas. So is there something I should be aware of?
His model is SGH-i747
Baseband
i747UCDLK3
Build number
jro03
So how do I go about upgrading it? Can I just flash TWRP and flash any rom using TWRP?
I found this, so I should install new TWRP, then flash a specified kernel then flash rom? would this be safe route?
Some of the latest ROMs require a 4.4.2 bootloader and modem.
The simplest and safest way to get the latest bootloader may be to flash back to unrooted stock 4.1.1 and run OTA updates until the phone is running the latest KK ROM. You can then flash TWRP or CWM and a custom ROM.

Would this require flashing with ODIN? I just want it so that it works with root is not required anymore.
Yes, you would flash the 4.1.1 stock ATT ROM via Odin. I prefer Odin 3.07.
You cannot install OTA updates with root.
You can try flashing just the bootloader and modem but I prefer the long slow route of OTA updates.
I rather do it this way, manually so my dad can enjoy it today. I was wondering how can I update it's TWRP? it's at 2.3 but the TWRP manager keeps crashing when I update it.
I highly recommend the latest d2lte version of Philz Touch for recovery.
https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/d2lte/
Ok I ****ed up, flash that kernel and did whatever and bam ****ed up. Not working... ****, I still ahve download mode and Recovery but it will not boot into the OS. I get a flash of samsung and then nothing else happends...****
I decided to flash stock DLK3 in odin. Then let the updates take it course (my dad doesn't need root) Where Can I find the file?
The stock ATT firmware is on sammobile.com.
If you want root, OTA to the latest 4.4.2, install Philz, flash supersu via recovery.
Hey guys,
I was running Cyanogenmod 11 for a while which I installed using the automatic tool online. During the summer I flashed Dirty Unicorns but I have issues with the camera and random rebooting. I just got a Galaxy Gear for Christmas and I've read that its only compatible with touchwiz roms.
I'm trying to go back to stock and I am ok with losing my root access.
I have an SGH-1747m on Baseband I747MVLUEMK5 and my service provider is Bell. The android version is 4.4.4 currently. Whats the easiest method to do this? I've read some concerning information that going back to an earlier version of android will soft brick your phone, but I believe the most current Bell firmware is still in Jelly Bean.
Is it as easy as downloading the correct firmware and flashing it using Clockworkmod Recovery?
Thanks
You should download the stock ROM from sammobile.com and flash it in Odin to get back to stock.

The latest version available for my baseband is 4.3. Will I run into problems going from 4.4.4 to 4.3?
Flashing in Odin will flash everything, including the bootloader and modem.

Thanks. So if I'm understanding correctly I just flash the latest firmware released by my carrier (4.4.2)? Is there anything else to watch out for when choosing the firmware?
Also, before flashing should I make a backup with Clockwork Recovery or any other program? Will Clockwork Recovery still be present after flashing with ODIN?

Yes, flash the latest firmware for your phone. Be sure it's firmware for the i747m and not anything else. Always make a backup if you ever screw up or want to go back to where you are now. You will lose everything by flashing the stock firmware with ODIN, even clockwork mod recovery.
Thanks. When I made a backup before going to Dirty Unicorns I used Clockwork Recovery. If Clockwork will be deleted by flashing with ODIN, how would I utilize that backup if I needed it? Should I use another program to back up?
EDIT: I flashed it and everything went smoothly. Sincere thanks to everyone who gave me help!
So I wanted go back to stock rom from 5.1.1 (DU). I downloaded the 4.4.2 rooted image from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55683994&postcount=2225
I used odin and flash the file
now my phone is stuck on samsung screen for 10 minutes.
I can still access the recovery (stock) and download mode. What can I do to fix this?

What bootloader and modem was your device on before trying to flash that file from mrRobinson?
I take it you have an i747M since that link is for the NF2 Rogers firmware, true?

I have frequently seen people report the same experience as you when going from 5.x.x back to stock.
I have read two solutions:
1) Flash a stock recovery and do a factory reset from there. enewman17 has download available in the OP of several threads; stock NE4, NJ1, and NJ2.
2) OR before flashing the stock rom, in addition to doing the standard wipes from the custom recovery you format the internal sdcard.
