Thats it.
I liked so much the 4.3 firmware, so I want to stay on it, but, how can I root my phone with locked bootloader? I'm unable to unlock it because it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: No".
Xperia M C1904 15.4.A.0.23 FW.
Any ideas please?

If you have bootloader locked you will need to down grade your firmware to build 42 do this download program called flashtools available on xda.
Download from xda the .42 file use flashtools to load on to phone.
Then root with either zergrush method or from flashtools.
Once rooted use ota to update to latest build 62
if bootloader is unlocked then do as described in previous posts.
All software and tools are available in general or q&a sections.

It's because you have a carrier locked Xperia S. The above method wont work with it, also if you have the SIM unlock code the bootloader wont unlock. Do one thing, mail your carrier and sony asking if unlocking bootloader is possible.
BTW you can still root your device and install custom ROMs just search the forum.
hello guys, i have unlocked my sony xperia acro s using sony official way to unlock bootloader, but then i decided to sell this phone
because i wanted to buy sony xperia z/sony xperia v. i tried to relock the bootloader using SE bootloaderunlocking tool, there is a folder to
relock the bootloader and it contain relock bootloader.ftf file. after i flash that .ftf file using SE bootloaderunlocking tool, my acro s is totally dead,
i tried to use power + volume up button, first try 1 vibrate and second try 3 vibrate but it it still dead and i tried to flash official 6.1.A.2.55 sony xperia acro s firmware and it works.
so is my acro s bootloader is locked right now?

Your bootloader in still unlocked. Here is the status:-
Bootloader Unlocked - Yes ( this means that the bootloader is UNLOCKED)
Bootloader unlock allowed - Yes (this means the bootloader is LOCKED)
So here is what to do:-
1. Flash stock Acro S ICS FTF.
2. Don't power on the device, just close flashtool again and reopen flashtool and flash the bootloader relocking thing.
3. Still don't power on the device and flash the stock ICS FTF again.
4. Power on and check if it says "Bootloader unlock allowed:- Yes" in the service menu.
