Your bootloader in still unlocked. Here is the status:-
Bootloader Unlocked - Yes ( this means that the bootloader is UNLOCKED)
Bootloader unlock allowed - Yes (this means the bootloader is LOCKED)
So here is what to do:-
1. Flash stock Acro S ICS FTF.
2. Don't power on the device, just close flashtool again and reopen flashtool and flash the bootloader relocking thing.
3. Still don't power on the device and flash the stock ICS FTF again.
4. Power on and check if it says "Bootloader unlock allowed:- Yes" in the service menu.

Don't worry about that download music info not working. It never works at all. Didn't work for me even on my phone's first day. No idea about Bravia Engine though.

So i have an Orange Xperia Arc S. I called them, they gave me the network unlock code, i unlocked the phone. But when i go into settings it still says bootloader unlock not allowed.
My question is, can i still root it now that i have unlocked the code so i can use ICS?
thank you
why you want to root? for your info, no need root and unlock bootloader to use ICS rom. but if you wanna try custom rom, you must unlock bootloader to flash the ROM n kernel
i dont want a custom Rom, i just want to install the official ICS .
How can i install that without unlocking the bootloader?
Update through the Sony Companion tool on your PC if the ICS has been release for your area.
thats the problem, i dont wanna wait a few months til it comes available through my provider. I downloaded the generic file.. how do i go about installing on my Arc?

Correct me if im wrong but it is possible to use ics by flashing it using flashtool. Plus, using flashtool doesnt require root or unlock bootloader...
However if u are using an arc and not arc s, it is not recommended to use the ics firmware of arc s coz there is some issue regarding touch screen...
Sent from my E15a using xda premium
You could use FLASHTOOL to flash the original ICS for ARC S from sony that's doable.
Look in Dev section for binary post about ics Nordic all info in there.

It's because you have a carrier locked Xperia S. The above method wont work with it, also if you have the SIM unlock code the bootloader wont unlock. Do one thing, mail your carrier and sony asking if unlocking bootloader is possible.
BTW you can still root your device and install custom ROMs just search the forum.
So guys, today I installed slim bean 2.5 on my xperia s using CWM and after installing pressed reboot now, but my phone never powered back on so pressed the power button again and got a light vibration but phone did not come back on.
I held down the power + volume up button till i got 3 vibrations but still phone did not restart
When i connect phone to charger I do not see any notification light.
Guys this phone is my brothers so really nervous about it, please help me out, thanks in advance

Update Service with an unlocked bootloader is a bad idea.
Try this.
http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/how-to-download-and-install-the-flash-tool/
Official flashtool to go back to stock rom.
And as the guy above told you, SEUS on unlocked bootloader is a bad thing.
Hi. I have same problem.
Just flashed FreeXperia rom and gapps. Phone wont to power up. Just geting blue led or green.
Any clue? My bootloader is locked.

Dude,
As the others have said you cannot install FXP CM10 on a device with a locked bootloader.
As such your device will not boot, your options are to either.
1) use flashtool to flash a stock rom - instuctions how to use flashtool can be found on the forum
2) use Sony update service to flash back to stock - This is the easier option, but all your data will be wiped.
Once the device will boot up, if you still want to use FXP roms then unlock the bootloader first, or try a rom for locked bootloaders.
Either of the above should work for you.

yea phone works again fine on the stock
At least you show others, do not flash custom ROM if it's only for unlocked bootloader.
If you have locked bootloader you can't flash custom kernel and you will stuck in bootloop.

Flash stock firmware with flashtool.
Or flash custom kernel and custom rom.

but cant you only use flashtool when the phone is on.
Also lupus is the kernel i want to flash.
is there a way to use flashtool with the phone off?
Also is lupus compatable with CM10
Hold down search button while plugging phone in you will get into fastboot mode then choose fastboot mode press select kernel to flash and select kernel and done. If you want to unbrick or return to stock download a ftf file for your phone and move it to flashtool folder then firmwares then go to flashtool then press flashmode then select ftf file then follow instructions and this should help

i know unlocking the bootloader didnt cause sony companion to fail i deleted all the software in the "safe list" of bloatware to delete to get more space and one of them was update services.
Thats why i really want to install CM 10

When you unlock bootloader PC companion update don't work anymore. Forget about using it as repair software
As i said in first reply:
-power off your phone (removing battery will do the trick)
-hold back button and connect usb cable to Play
-flash stock frimware with flashtool (tutorial how to use it is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2054486
(read on if you want custom kernel/ROM)
-download ROM you want to use and place it in SD Card
-power off your phone
-hold search and connect usb cable to Play
-in flashtool, click on lighting icon, choose fastboot mode and select kernel you want to flash
-remove usb cable
-power on phone, and phone vibrate press volume down key (Volume down is for CWR, volume up is for TWRP recovery in lupus kernel, for doomlord kernel is back button)
-format system and data from recovery
-choose "install zip from sdcard" and choose ROM that you put in sc card
Keep in mind that kernel must match rom you are instaling. JB kernel for JB roms, ICS kernels for ics roms, GB kernel for GB roms
List of roms and firmwares you can find at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184897
half sucsessful
ok so i used flashtool to install lupus cm9 kernal then i booted into recovery and installed the cm9 zip from cyanogenmod website
but when i rebooted it it came up with the cyanogenmod 9 boot animation but once again IT WONT BOOT its been doing it for 15mins maybe unlocking bootloader did cause damage is there anyway to fix

does it mean anything ?
and thanks man for the reply
i flashed this XperiaS_LT26i_6.2.B.1.96_KernelOnly.ftf - 6.33 MB (in the meantime of waiting the full one to get downloaded) and it seems to work i see the sony logo now and the phone keeps restarting thanks man
problem solved; i flashed with stock rom
thanks
the problem maybe because u didnt wipe data and cache.and i think cm 9 needs unlock bootloader.if u r new,u can unlock bootloader and flash kitkat roms if u dont use camera much.and keep that ftf handy coz its the way u can revive ur phone.i have 3 ftfs of all 3 android versions
