why is the samsung app perpectually asking for video editor to be updated when it is at latest version? I have clicked download countless times, downloaded and updated the video editor app but it still stays in 'update available' mode. Anyone have this issue and how to resolve?
I see the same on my P600 still running 4.3.
Most likely the update is only compatible with 4.4 - it's downloaded but not installed as not compatible.

I'm on stock 4.4 (p600) and it continuously updates. The same update every time. It shows as successfully updating, but starts all over again on the next reboot. I'd sop it from auto updating, but it hasn't bothered me enough yet. There's more than likely a problem with the app or with Samsung's updates that's causing the issue.

I have a Samsung Note 2 GT-N7100, the phone downloaded a software update V5_1209_1_1 and wants me to install it. I have no idea where the update came from or what it is for. It is showing in my notification panel and the only options I have are 'install', 'install all' or 'later' then the choice;- in 1,2,or 3 hours. It tells me my phone will not work and must not be used whilst it is being installed.
I do not wish to update my phone from the existing Android version 4.1.1, can anyone tell me how to delete the update data and stop the phone asking me to apply/install the update every 3 hours.
Thank you in advance.
I highly recommend you to do it.
It contains sds fix.

I had the Android 4.3 leaked test version and now I flashed using Heimdall (Linux's Odin) Android 4.1.2 choosing the FULL Flash option. the problem is that after it flashed and everything it booted, and the first error appeared S-Note force close. it keeps appearing over and over. Then when I logged with my Google account another fc...android.process.acore, so these 2 keep force closing endlessly.
I also notice some apps missing, not only S-Note, but only the Phone app. It's useless flashing again so how can I fix this problem in another way?
Now my phone is on Android 4.1.2 with missing stuff.

Reflash your stock firmware. dont tick the repartition. Just the PDA then flash. Be careful in flashing.

Yes, it seems to work very well. Re-rooted with Nexus Root Toolkit v1.8.3. Just had to re-enable usb debigging first. The toolkit even updated itself with KTU84L binary (4.4.3 for Nexus2013).
I just updated mine, nothing different though, I guess its only bugs fix

Hi guys, so I got the notification about the update, but I forgot I had to have the stock recovery to install it, and I pressed the install update, it locked my bootloader, but didn't update to 4.4.3, now if I go to system update, press check for updates, it say I'm on latest update. What should I do now?

Boot into twrp, and flash it manually, you'll find the ota zip in /cache.
Unless you are serious/correct about it locking your bootloader, which I never heard of an update doing, then you got a different issue.
I did the same thing, but there's no update in that folder

one got it, not the other
I've two Nexus 7 2013 units. One got the update message (and it worked) but the other has not. Tried checking for updates on it and it says it's up to date (running 4.4.2). No biggie, just curious that one got it but not the other.
Still haven't rooted either of them yet.

Nothing to be curious about, it's just the way they roll it out.
Go to all applications and clear cache for google services framework. Then recheck for update..

Not trying to start that debate again, but anyone considering doing this should at least be aware of this article before doing it: Don't clear data for Google Services Framework

Yep. Agreed, it's much safer to just side load it.

Agreed, blanket dumping of data certainly has it's place. I wasn't sure this was one of them. That and I'm honestly ot in any kind of rush to force updates. Still, it's been a few days and the one tablet is still not showing 4.4.3 as available yet. Both are logged into the same google account. No rush, my to-do list has PLENTY of other things on it...
I have nexus 7 2013 wifi and its on android 4.4.4

Google pulled back the update for the nexus 4/5 due to SMS bug this does not effect the N7

If you have a custom recovery you will still receive the OTA notification, it will be capable of being downloaded if you allow it but it will then throw an error if you choose to install it from the "System updates" screen in Settings/About phone. That has been my experience with TWRP 2.8.0.1 and 2.8.1.0. I had been fighting the update earlier in the week, didn't expect to see it because I have a service disabled in google services framework that come to find out does not work anymore. Don't plan on updating for a while.

Not here in the US that I've heard of. As soon as I re-enable some services I will see it.
Screenshot is from my N5 that has TWRP installed, custom kernel and numerous modified system files.
You can now register for the Android 10 Beta in the Samsung Members app if you have a US Unlocked Note 10+ device (SM-N975U1 only). I just registered, checked manually for a system update and my Note 10+ is currently installing the Beta!
FYI, this worked on my ATT device converted to U1. I am using it on it right now.

Yeah, I have a VZW device but have had the U1 firmware on it since day 1.
I registered for it about 30-45 minutes ago. Waiting to install it though. Heard Disney+ wasn't compatible with the Android 10 beta on the S Series. But I know there were several issues with Disney+ yesterday, so it may not have even been related to the beta.
just registered! about 1-2 minutes later, i check for upgrade, it downloading now !

Yeah, it's not available in the Play Store on the beta. But I have found a workaround and got it installed and working.
Download all 4 files from here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-QC8B-Cic3gU00CF3u1pYvP-zWZ663nG
Install the SAI.apk
After that has been installed open that app and then select Install APKs
Select the 3 other apk files that you downloaded then click Select (3) and it will install the working Disney+ app
Exciting wish it worked for me, when I click register in the app it does its thing but then returns back the members app and register is still an option...bummer

Excellent! You were able to login and stream?
I've attempted to register my U1 20-30 times but I keep getting the registration request screen back after registering. Tried Software Update and nothing.
Update: I cleared data & cache in Members app, retried registering and it worked. Downloading update now.

does the beta pass safety net?
It won't let me register at all. Clearing data in the members app doesn't work, reinstalling doesn't work, I even restarted my phone. Just keeps taking me back to the main page with the register banner. Rad.
