Hello friends, I've noticed, that my z1c with running .757 firmware gets a black screen after I missed a call.
I can't turn the display on.
I must reboot the phone by pressing vol+up/power buttons.
Can anyone help me to solve the problem?
Best regards, Chris

Hello guys
Me and friends using DHDs are having the same problem.
Sometimes hangup the calls with cheeks or ear or ....
Especially it is annoying then you in rush with something, receive important call, hold your phone between shoulder and ear and .............. after some time you accidentally press END CALL button.
It is the biggest minus having touchscreen phone.
The thing is that screen turn offs after some time of talking but it turns on again as you are moving around.
Did anyone find out how to solve this misery?
Would be grateful.

Sounds like an issue with the proximity sensor, if I hold mine wrong I tend to turn on loudspeaker with my face. It's tweaked in some of the ROM's I believe - are you running a ROM or still on Stock?
Hi, thanks for responce.
I have rooted sence 3.0 Rom by nitr0. But this problem is not dependant on my rom as before i had original virgin mobile branded rom and the problem still persists.

Definitely a proximity issue. On CM7 I also had the issue of putting calls on hold with my cheek! You can remove the hold button in the call options.
yes. my screen turns off only when i close proximity sensor totally. though it should do it in a distance.
Unfortunately indigolemon's posted app does not work on my kernel. as my radio is 12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M. and Kernel 2.6.35.10.

In cm7, this accidental hold was a b**ch before i removed it; but it took me quite some time to figure it out

Hey Guys,
Every time i slide out the game pad on my Xperia Play r800i the screen turns off and I have to wait about 10 seconds until it comes on again.Sometimes I can see that the screen is still on but it is really dim and very hard to see and sometimes the brightness keeps changing.
I used PC Companion and Repaired the phone but it did nothing.
Please Help!!
Nothing happened to your phone, its normal. It just takes time to load the xperia play app.

No , When I slide it out the screen locks and I have it set NOT to launch the xperia play app.
So you probably have damaged flex cable. Be ready for giving your phone to the service centre soon.

Hi guys I have a xperia s on jellybean .211 firmware. Just wanted to ask if anyone else experiences an unresponsive screen during a call? What I mean is whilst im in a call the back button doesnt work so I have to press the home button. I can browse around the phone just fine, however when I go into my messages or whatsapp I cant click into a conversation at all. If I get into the conversation, I cant type a message or anything

Update: I cant click into any menu. Long pressing home button doesnt do anything, back and menu button doesnt respond. If I go into settings I cant get into any of the menus. Always during a call. Anyone experiencing this issue?
Update 2: the problem occurs when I turn the screen off or when I put the phone to my ear and then turn the screen back on

Hello,
can someone tell me, how to lock the display during a call?
With each call, I press any key with my ear. Some like "hold" or so...
It is annoying.

This is weird... Proximity sensor should kick in the moment the phone gets near your ear and shuts the display down temporarily.

This shows me "Proximity switch" off or on if i'm near(about 5 centimeters) the sensor.
But if i try to calibrate the switch, it shows me an error, that this is not allowed.
