Came to acquire a mytouch 3g which is stuck on a boot loop.
It boots to show LG, reboots again to show LG, then goes to factory reset, which fails. Says it could not find a t-mobile release file in the /system. The process repeats.
Tried to boot a recover, failed.
Hard reset, as stated above fails.
the s/w download does work however, but with little luck. The lg support tool says theres no update. tried UpTestEX_mod2_marwin (R & D test tool) with no luck. It says it completes, pops up saying an error occured, then closes the program.
Tried ADB and fastboot, which either say waiting for device or access denied.
Might a USB JIg help to force the phone to a flashable state?
Any other options I'm not finding that anyone can suggest?
If it says LG you have the wrong forum. This is for the HTC MyTouch 3G slide you need the MyTouch 4G slide

I have an incredible that has been rooted and is running the wildstang83_desired_inc_HD_3d_v3.zip The phone was working great until my son decided to remove the sdcard while it was running many programs.
The phone then would not boot, and showed the android and the triangle on the boot screen.
The phone would no longer boot, and would start the vibrating 5 times.
I tried to re-boot into recovery, and the phone would start into the HTC boot. I noticed that the s-on is now on, and that when I try to go to recovery to use the clock work mod, It will not start the cwm.
I have read through the forums, and I tried connecting it to a USB which will allow me to get the phone to boot to CWM. I tried to reload the phone from the zip file, but the phone could not read from the SD-Card.
I tried to reload the phone using PB31IMG.zip. Then I got the error message "revert back to an earlier version" I have been going through the procedure, and I can not get the phone to boot so that I can load the files.
PLEASE Help!!!

I just had this problem. Don't use the RUU. Follow my post in the Q&A section.
Good luck with the guide, when it happened to me in March I had to send it back and get a new one.

First off Hello ^-^ This is my first post on this sight..i think
Anyways my phones was loaded with BeanStalk and i decided to make a switch due to it randomly freezing on my when i would be typing or things like that and i was looking through the ROM on here and i ran into This ROM Pacman 4.3 well i had decided i wanted a fresh start so i saved important stuff and booted into recovery TWRP recovery to be exact then i wiped everything then i factory reset everything from that menu as well then i backed up the EFS(i think thats what its called) so afterwards i adb pushed the Pacman 4.3 onto the phone (the one i downloaded was pac_ls970-nightly-20131107.zip) i flashed it and everything seemed fine until after it booted i immediately got 2 errors it would not let me do anything else the one error spoke of the NFC not responding and the other spoke of the android system not responding and when i connected it to the computer it kept saying that it was installing a driver and then it failed so i couldnt do anything so i tried to boot back into recovery(which i suck at by the way) and it didnt work so after an hour of trying i put it in fastboot and hit vol down twice then power and it just cut off no recovery no lg logo nothing SO..i tried to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them then restart my computer and still it failed i got a hold of a different version of the driver and still nothing it pops up under device manager but says something is wrong with it ive tried all ports and different cords...seems like my recovery is gone or something..any ideas on what to do
Its not fully bricked, you need LGNSPT to fix your problem. @engine95 has a thread for you in FAQ.

Incase that didn't fix it, (when I bricked mine it didn't) use LGflashtool.

So I got LS980 Sprint LG G2 from ebay. Everything worked fine. First I rooted the phone using stump root, then installed twrp using autorec, and then tried to flash xdabebb's VS980 (I totally forgot that I cannot flash a verizon rom to sprint phone). I had done this same process on verizon phones many times so I did not take a back up. TWRP said flash to xdabebb VS980 was succesfull, but when I reboot, it says "[820] Fastboot mode started [870] udc_start()" I am basically stuck here. I can reboot to recovery but I dont have any other zip files or back up or anything on the phone. I tried connecting to computer using USB but nothing shows up. I tried to use ADB but i dont see the phone when I type "adb devices". Any help is appreciated on what should I do to get the phone working
Make sure you have all your drivers installed, all your adb drivers. Then you might get seen by the system. You would then go with a side load of the proper ROM.

I have all the drivers because I see the phone under device manger connected to COM port.

Solved: I was doing all this on windows 8. Tried a different computer with windows 7 on it and LGFlash Tools worked fine untill 94% after which phone rebooted and started the activation process. LGF tools said download failed giving an error "unable to open USB ports" but the phone was up and running.
THANKS A LOT to everyone who helped!!
That is normal on the computer side

I'd be really grateful for anyone who can help me. I could even pay a small reward if I can get this phone to work.
Factory restore/hard reset doesn't work. I press power to confirm, and it says "confirmed" or whatever the message is and stops there.

No such option in the current LG Mobile Support Tool.
When I start it, it checks for software and says I'm up to date.
It lists "Software version: _" which doesn't seem right.
LGFlashTool:
Fails for me every time.
New USB cord on back ports, have tried different ports.
It gives a PID, correct model and IMEI.
Checks Milky, DLL, bin CRC. I've re-downloaded the bin anyway.
When the phone is reconnected, it shows on COM41 and flashes.
System, tz, boot, rpm, aboot, sbl3/2/1, modem.
Then it says Factory Reset and Reboot sleep time
It then reboots and seems to fail recognizing the phone afterward. It gives error F0000002 and says "Download FAIL!!" at 95 or 99%.
LG Flash Tool 2014:
From what I gathered, there IS NO KDZ for the e980.
It was recommended to me to flash the Central America e980H KDZ to possibly restore the bootloader/recovery.
This gets to about 95% and then the phone reboots to the LG logo and hangs. After several minutes of waiting, it says "Upgrade stopped due to an error" and prompts me to try again after removing the battery. This just happens over and over again.
Thanks in advance for any help!
I've flashed the g, k and p tots. One won't even allow me to enter factory restore. The other two just hang if I do, or hang at the LG logo if I don't.
I've also tried following the instructions to make a restore microSD and tried another pre-built one, but it doesn't seem to boot/restore from the card.
What options do I have left? Can anyone help? Thanks.

Refer hyelton's guide for getting stock rom on our phone. Use the flash tool provided in the thread and probably you will be good to go.

I assume you didn't read the post? Thanks, but that's the first thing I tried, with every compatible .tot and kdz that exists and every LG flashing tool available. I'm not a newb to rooting and unbricking phones. No offense, and I do appreciate that someone finally replied, but if I wanted someone to tell me to RTFM, use the search, or read the stickies I wouldn't have wasted peoples' time with a post and all of the details of what I tried.
I assume at this point that it's pretty well screwed and nothing short of a JTAG will resurrect it, if that even will. I'm leaning toward a hardware fault or something lower level than any firmware/baseband flashing will touch. :/
How did you bricked your phone the first time? Because if you can enter the download mode to use the flash tool, it shouldn't require you to load from the SD card or use jtag to repair the device. Those are the techniques for the device that's completely dead.
Right, but I tried flashing all of the US .tot images as well ask a kdz for central america. I tried flashing using different tools. I have tried literally every possible way that I can find, and it has the same strange problem of hanging at the LG logo and at the "hard reset" factory recovery screen.
It was brought to me as having a "software issue" from a bad update. I wasn't able to determine whether that was factory OTA or flashing a rom, but this thing apparently has some issues that a flash to 100% factory will not resolve. Either it's unable to flash itself through download mode, or it flashes and they all have the same problem afterward. I re-downloaded and re-checked the md5s over and over again. Tried different ports and cables, despite never having had a problem before on this computer with a dozen other devices, several times each.
I'm fairly certain there's a low level firmware or hardware fault so I've ditched the phone. No purpose in continuing the thread unless someone else has the same issue. And in that case, I cannot help without obtaining some kind of adb or fastboot.
Thanks for the replies all the same.
May be the motherboard is the problem?
Try charging

Stock kdz here
If you ever flashed KDZ to your e980, LGFlashTool will not allow you to flash TOT files by means of Download Mode, because there's a check for device model which doesn't match (that info afaik is based on SBL3 content).
If you have Dowload Mode functioning: (1) flash any KDZ (preferably for the same size of memory, 32GB) and you will have a working phone; (2) root the system; (3) replace boot partitions by those from native e980 installation (all together) by means of dd command; (4) flash native TOT file from Download Mode.
Be very cautious while on p.3. If you do this wrong, you will have a hard brick which will require special tools to fix it.
Hey, so im having problems here. I just got my new lg k10 (running on 5.1 Lollipop) and i rooted it with kingroot. after that, i decided to go play around with the ROM Toolbox app and when i rebooted it, or attempted to, i got a message with the lg logo saying "boot verification failed MISMATCH_SIG_LEN" with the error codes [410][420][430]. I already tried to enter recovery mode but it gives me the same message just with a different error code [4032] and some other ones. when i put it to charge it doesn't stay on the charging screen, it just keeps trying to boot again (which i think its called a bootloop, correct me if im wrong) so theres no way my pc can auto detect the phone. i even tried taking out the battery and still nothing. please help ASAP!!! :crying::crying:
Same here kingroot thats it. Rebooted and same thing happened. Boot verification failed. Just bought 2 days ago so I told them it shut off in the middle of an OTA update and they replaced it immediately. No download mode, recovery, nothing just LG logo bootloop with error as described above. Afraid to root new k10 until this is resolved.
Guys, did you try my guide? Check it out on LG K10 Guides, News, & Discussion
Does the op have this issue fixed i would be willing to offer my time

i found a fix
boot into fast boot by holding vol down when plugig into computer..... than use "fastboot oem unlock" command boot normally (don't mind the "cant check boot" message)
Same issue with LG V10
I am stuck in a bootloop "mismatch_sig_len" and I have tried putting it into download mode, factory reset and a couple of recovery tools that can't find my device. I have read something about having to "short" two pins with tweezers or copper, to get out of this. Are there any successful methods anyone knows of? Thanks in advance.
