Any way to keep Viper4Android from turning off? - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Like if I clear my recents it tends to turn off the audio effects, and I have to open up the app in order for it to turn back on.
Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks in advance ?

Never experienced that before
Try going to Settings>Sounds>Audio Effects
And then you should be able to set the default DSP app

Install it as a system app. Google it. I am pretty sure it fixes your issue.

For me, the best working solution is to press multitasking button and swipe away all the apps.

Thats what i did too
At first i tried to open my music, it opened my google voice instead :/ but thats the temporarily solution i suppose :/
This has not gone away. Even if I try to access messaging from the app drawer or recent app list it doesn't work. Hitting back cycles through other apps, does not help. The only way to access messaging is through the people app or through a notification.

Try rebooting it?
Like someone said, swipe away all the recent apps.

Keeping screen on while watching video on browser

I am trying to watch a streaming flash video on my Nexus using the stock browser. The phone screen keeps turning off as per its screen-off time. Is there a way to ensure that the phone does not go to sleep while watching video?

I am trying to watch a sporting event in the default Android browser. It is a flash stream. I have my Nexus hooked up to my TV through an MHL connector.I am hoping to find a way to keep the screen alive when the flash video plays.
I am on stock, but rooted.

Switch Pro has a "Keep Awake" toggle. Others probably to to.
I use wake timer.
i use screen timeout app and its perfect for me
i had that same issue and on almost every phone. i had no screen timeout i hate when the screem goes dark. when i use my phone i need it on when i don't use it i lock it no battery drainage etc.
Also keep screen on while charging in the settings is a fix too. Although a toggle is a lot more convenient.

Long home press doesn't bring up open apps

Have a weird bug that comes and goes and can't figure out why or how to fix it. Long pressing home should bring up all open apps and let you get to task manager. Most the times it works, but every once in awhile it will completely stop working. A reset fixes it or if i just wait awhile it will come back.
Anyone else get this or know of a fix? Home button still works, just not the long press

I get this now and then. Only solution I've found is a reboot

This happens to me sometimes right after or during watching an online video through the browser, it doesn't work until the video player or the system UI force closes(takes around a minute)

[Q] how do i disable google now hotword if it keeps crashing?

hi..
i've read somewhere that google now crashes because of the hotword feature, and that you need to disable it. BUT if it crashes, how can you reach the options?
also on another note, has anyone else run into problems using the stock camera app? (i use liquidsmotth but it also had the same thing in rootbox).

Open your hard keyboard and open google. Then really fast hit one letter and hit enter on the hard keyboard. Then it will load and not crash. Only then can you disable hotword in settings.

Icons disappear after reboot using Google experience launcher

To get more of the nexus experience on my GPE I went ahead and installed the Google experience launcher.
I have noticed that whenever I reboot my tablet an icon will disappear from the launcher tray. Typically it is Falcon Pro, sot Twitter app.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Sent from my LG-V510 using Tapatalk
I've had the same issue with it, although it's not specific to any app. Any icon that sits in the 6th slot (far right of the dock) will disappear on reboot.
Everything else works fine with it. Are you on stock? (I am too at present) Could be a Jelly Bean + GEL compatibility issue.
Mine is a GPE, so kit Kat, maybe it's just a thing that happens when you add the apk after the fact.
