To get more of the nexus experience on my GPE I went ahead and installed the Google experience launcher.
I have noticed that whenever I reboot my tablet an icon will disappear from the launcher tray. Typically it is Falcon Pro, sot Twitter app.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Sent from my LG-V510 using Tapatalk
I've had the same issue with it, although it's not specific to any app. Any icon that sits in the 6th slot (far right of the dock) will disappear on reboot.
Everything else works fine with it. Are you on stock? (I am too at present) Could be a Jelly Bean + GEL compatibility issue.
Mine is a GPE, so kit Kat, maybe it's just a thing that happens when you add the apk after the fact.

Here is the new Gmail 4.2 with my touch of black and blue! To install simply place the apk on your SD card and install. If it does not overwrite your current Gmail then uninstall Gmail in your system/app and any com.android.Gmail in your data/app then install mine. Once installed go to system/app and ensure the permissions are set the same as all other apps then reboot. If it still does not install then adb push Gmail4.2.apk to system/app. Then once installed rewrite the permissions and reboot. Let me know if you have any problems installing, enjoy!

Just got my Nexus yesterday and I love this GMail app. Inverted is a lot better on my eyes and the blue is awesome.
Great Job,
those icons are just horrible
Personally, I dig your icons. FYI...when I send something to the trash the confirmation at the bottom of the screen shows the html tag for "BOLD" instead of just putting the number of items deleted in bold

I'm having an issue with the app. I'm unable to download or save any attachments. Can anyone confirm that this is bug?

I dont have these issues, did you try fixing permissions in sys/app/ ?

Have a weird bug that comes and goes and can't figure out why or how to fix it. Long pressing home should bring up all open apps and let you get to task manager. Most the times it works, but every once in awhile it will completely stop working. A reset fixes it or if i just wait awhile it will come back.
Anyone else get this or know of a fix? Home button still works, just not the long press

This happens to me sometimes right after or during watching an online video through the browser, it doesn't work until the video player or the system UI force closes(takes around a minute)

I didn't get 4.2.2 but I did get the "side bar" thing. It seemed kinda cool at 1st, but it's gotten rather annoying. I get the dual Window option but don't see the practicality for my use. I'd love input if anyone has any.

But what it *still* doesn't have (or, at least, I haven't found it yet) is the ability to go into Navigation, hit the "map" button, and watch the arrow follow your route, without needing to punch in a destination (a "follow" mode, for lack of a better term). I actually used that on occasion, and its disappearance in Maps 7 is very disappointing.

Standalone navigation apps usually include a tracking mode where you can monitor a live trace of your gps' (walked, driven or bicycled) path along the map and annotate, save and share that trace.
I'm not sure how much was included in GNav, but it has been reduced to a GMaps subset and the controls need to be relearned. Map tracing via gps seems gone for now.

Latest map updates has it, although;
It no longer had a separate Navigation Icon, Nav is part of maps with a turning arrow icon to activate

Evening,
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I really can't find the answer anywhere.
I'm running the latest Purity ROM which comes with the new Google launcher.
Is there anyway I can get the stock 4.4 launcher which comes with the official 4.4 image?
I can't stand the new launcher, well at least the one that has come with the ROM. Icon sizes etc are just completely wrong.
Cheers guys.

The apk for the Google Experience Launcher. Download it and install.
Honestly, it really wasnt necessary to create a new thread for this. The amount of info you could've found on the internet by simply searching something along the lines of "kitkat launcher" is quite high. Search harder next time.
That's where you're wrong. If you read my post correctly you'd see I want the launcher that came with the factory image from Google. NOT the Google experience launcher, which came with the nexus 5.
But thanks anyway.

Ah, my bad. Excuse my ignorance.
I assumed Purity, being based off of AOSP, would come with the aosp launcher, but apparently not.
Try this: http://www.mediafire.com/download/4roil3438gbz6qk/Launcher3.apk
No it came with the new launcher from the Nexus 5 port I presume.
That's spot on, thank you very much.

Anyone else on stock with Sprint notice that it's very hard to download any ROMs..? It downloads fine until about 5-20 percent and then it just cancels itself and stops the download and disappears..
