Best Rom in your opinion - Verizon HTC One (M7)

so instead of trying all the roms ill see what your favorite rom is. i hoped to use Android Revolution but it doesnt support verizon, so what rom has the best battery life is my main concern.

Idk about best battery life but the EclipticONE6 Inverted rom is awesome.

I have been enjoying santods nusense roms

EclipticONE6 is by far the best ROM.

It'll be in your best interest to try them out. Any of the sense roms are great (ecliptic or any nusense). You'll find people that are lean towards one or the other...it's just personal preference. Couldn't tell ya about any aosp roms though. I'm one of the weird ones that thinks Sense is way better (and much more stable).
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk

Battery life sense nusense by far has the best battery life. But tethering just had to much issues. Best tethering in a sense ROM is ecliptic.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

AOSP - DarkSlide
Sense - Ecliptic
GPE - Joelz port
I'm switching back and forth between DS and Ecliptic.

I hear Solar Flare is pretty decent.
Just trolling....Only way to find out what is the "best" is to try them all. The "best" is subjective and depends on your usage. But everyone's replies are pretty much stating that.

I'd vote for unsense as well. Fast and solid.

It looks like the devs on the Viper ROM have pretty much quit, which is a shame. Do any of the other ROMs have the Exchange security bypass? That's been the only thing keeping me from switching.

There is an xposed module you can install for that bypass. Even if viper is done, it is still rock solid and my favorite sense Rom.

For the plain stock option, go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485319. Comes with deodex/odex/debloat options as well.
If you want something a little different that's based on Sense 6, try out Bonestock or NuSenseSix.

Buckmarble's Vanilla builds.

I bet they are working on making the Rom with our official sense 6.0 OTA. It is just taking a little time. Their main thread doesn't say discontinued so it must still be active.

Considering the Optomus G pro but...

Hey guys thinking of upgrading to this phone and I love the look, feel, and features of this phone, but it doesn't look like you guys have much going on in the way of development? I'd be coming from the Samsung Infuse, so I'm a bit spoiled, when the phone was newer lots of developers were building and porting custom roms, and currently there are about 4 variations of updated (Android 4.1+) roms in development. Currently I'm on Beanstalk for the Infuse (android 4.3) which is a great rom with tons of customization.
I wouldn't mind learning and developing myself but with the apparent shortness of developers this could be slow going. Am I missing something here, is there just not a lot of development because this is a relatively new device, or is it a hard or impossible device to hack?

I came from the note 1 so I know the feeling...but I gotta tell you the stock software is really that good...I don't really miss any of my custom roms I use to run..the only thing I do miss is my theme on the theme engine.
Once cm10 gets closer we may see more since most roms are based off it but who knows.
I wouldn't expect development like what you're use to but like I said I don't miss it at all..
Hopefully the Nexus 5 will have a 5" screen like the rumors suggest and I can finally get a nexus device.
Yeah there a cm10.1 thats almost a daily. Pretty much everything works just a few bugs. There are repositories for a slimbean 4.3 on github but idk how far along that is as there been no release. And over in android forums there a guy working on a stock debloated deodexed rom and the bootloaders only been bypassed for a month or so. It took a while to get it unlocked but development has been goin pretty well since then. Just gonna take time.

So now that the bootloader has been cracked, we should see some more development soon I'd think? I'm just surprised this isn't a more popular device, the specs on it are bad ass.

Well like mrdsl said cm10 is the base for many of the good rom anyway and its almost done so I would expect to see development pick up soon. Especially as att keeps dropping the price makeing this easily the cheapest snapdragon600 device making it very appealing to many more people we should see the community for this phone grow a lot.

IMHO, a phone that good, stock rom is good enough!
Stock ROM of Gpro is great.....and optimized.
I didnt miss CM or PA at all.
Exactly . Best rom by any android company released

I agree .. it's a good stock rom. I would have to say most people install roms to improve performance but even on the Note2 I had I wasn't installing roms like I did in the past on every device prior.. and in fact this G pro benchmarks about 60 to 100 percent faster than the Note2 in most ... and so far it's been the fastest, slickest device I've used by far. I'm using Apex Launcher for customizing .. and at this point my phone looks like stock Android 4.3 and runs lightning quick.. and battery life has been stellar. And I'm liking and using the quicknote dedicated button! Only thing I miss about my note2 is kinda the S-pen and the inky blacks(contrast)
I have own a lot of Samsung devices...starting from s2 to s4 and I change my s4 for this device because I didn't feel I big upgrade from s3...of course I miss switching rooms but I can tell you that this phone is a lot quicker than many phone out there...the G pro is a lot more responsive than my wife note 2 and what I love about this phone is BATTERY this monster last the whole day

Stock is good, but modded roms are better. that's my option. Because the stock rom is so perfect, we're hailing the rom, but we better make sure that doesn't offend the developers. Even it is perfect, it is still 4.1, we will need 4.2/4.3 roms very soon, and LG won't catch up with our interest. So, we better appreciate what developers are trying now. Pls don't say we don't want mod roms.
For me, I just have one request to the devs, whatever you do, pls make sure the Quick Remote is in your rom, coz I'm already obsessed with it so much. now I can control everything around me with my phone.

Most stable ROM for long term?

I have CR ATT SE 3.0 and it really has quite a few annoying issues. I'd like to switch ROMs. I don't care if it's AOSP or modified stock ROM. I just want it to be relatively bug free and good for at least a couple months without having to do another big ROM switch.
Also if it's AOSP someone will have to bring me up to speed on how to get over to it from stock 4.1.2. I don't think it's just a simple wipe and flash.

If you're on Clean Rom then you might want to stick to a TW based Rom. You can just move to the most recent Clean Romthat's out..
That way you shouldn't run into any issues with it.
But there are also a lot of good AOSP Rom out there if you really have to install one. Just check the one stop shop for your Rom needs!!
Edit: just noticed the title of your thread. I'm using Skynote which is great for long term use.. haven't flashed anything else since

OGP 4.2 Update deatils

Helo guys , I have just got off a friendly chat with my close friend who works for the LG Android Team in India and who are testing currently the software..
as per him the OGP E988 ( for now ) will recieve the 4.2 update by last week of Jan or 3rd week
This is confirmed info .. so another 2-3 weeks..
As he said all of the engineers are asked to prioritise updates for G2 than Gpro .. be it work or anything and engineers are working weekends to deliver for G2 first..
Such a shame after all this time we only get 4.2 (They should at least give us 4.3 with Trim function)
SO only 4.2 but no KitKit??
Can't tell Its a good or bad news ???
Better 4.2 than nothing
its bad news that take them too long
but 4.2.2 is nice update after all better then nothing
and maybe it will help our great devs port KK from lg g2
4.2 too bad
Sent from my LG-E980h using xda app-developers app
That is good news..Something is better than nothing..

Hope it releases soon.

I think it's bad news considering we are on 4.4.2 now on CM official nightly. And yes could bring great performance and New apps, but won't you still feel like **** knowing you are on jelly bean while all other phones are on kitkat, maybe even better 5.0 by June next year(2014). I say join custom rooms and forget official outdated outdates.

One can't just undermine the lg stock 4.1.2. With root access and xposed frameworks it works like a charm. Never had a random reboot or any freeze for the first few weeks i used it. Heck at one time i had 500+ hours uptime.
Though i have moved on to slimkat now. That's another beauty. Most stable kitkat rom IMO

Is it just me or is anyone else here really impressed with Sense 6.0? I mean theres still a lot of bloat, but the level of polish on the UI is wonderful. I feel like they have really improved since my ol' Thunderbolt!

I agree with this. After having a samsung device for 3 years and seeing it the same on multiple devices, I had no idea how much I was missing out on. Samsung likes to throw so much in your face. I like Sense 6's cleanness.
What roms are you guys running? I just got this phone, S-OFF'd / rooted and all that. Im actually on AT&T's network, if that makes any difference. Anything cool you could suggest for this phone in particular? Also do you know of a way besides reflashing the rom to fix blinkfeed if you removed the facebook app?
I've still got the m7 and since it updated from sense 5 to 6 it's been really buggy and slow. It's probably a different story for the m8 though :/
