Power Saver have any effect? - T-Mobile HTC One (M8)

So Ive been trying out battery saver today, but I dont see any difference in battery life for me. I have all the options for battery saver ticked on. Anyone see an appreciable difference?

Mine seemed to get worse. Removed the battery app and power consumption got better.

[Q] Help!!!...my Battery Drains like crazy!

my battery drains fast and i dont know what to do.
ive installed juice defender and did everything else to limit the battery drain as much as possible.
one thing ive noticed is that my screens brightness is set to low, but on my battery stats it says Display 64%
and recently my system says 30%
i left my phone on the charger overnight. and it got unplugged from the charger, when i woke i looked at my stats and the display was at 64%
the phone signal bar was filled and it was bright yellow.
and my system said 34%
can anyone help me?
When you plug it into a wall charger, can you confirm its charging AC and not USB
How old is the battery? Have you checked all the software that are automatically sync ?
I think that you must dig deep on what's your battery being used and consider the age of the battery in there too

Yes I can confirm it, it says ac charging

@ megabiteg not even a year old. I tried screen filter, flashing diffrent radios, changing wallpapers and turning off haptic press. How do u suggest I dig deeper?

There are battery monitoring apps that you can find to monitor unusual activity.
Now your display is at 64% which is very peculiar.

Hmm I don't know what's up with it. I set my CPU low and I'm running evolved Final ROM.

Could it have something to do with sense?

Try System Panel, it's in the market. Best app I've found for monitoring battery consumption, especially when you need more details than the About Phone section under settings provides. It is a premium app, but cheaper than a new battery. Hope you find a solution quick! Battery problems are a pain.

Have you tried calibrating your battery? Charge to 100%, then boot into recovery and wipe battery stats (or you can use the Battery Calibration app). Let the phone discharge fully - don't plug it in until it dies - then charge back to 100% without breaks.
It could also be an issue with your usb cable or charger. Sprint can run a test on the battery to see if it is the problem. Try calibration first to rule that out, and never wipe battery stats unless you're fully charged.

I've tried the battery calibration. And I've done the wipe stats. I've read on how to recalibrate from HTC....

Another thing I've noticed is that my battery drains when I flash a ROM...

try charging it while its turned off then repeat the steps plainjane said. i was in the same boat as you when i flashed the evolved rom, now my battery life is pretty good.
What I just did was downgrade my radio one. My battery has been so much better in life. I am at 7 hrs right now at 66%. I have been using 4g, texting, and sending emails. Currently running Decks 1.3, SZ 2.2.1 CFS Havs.
What radio do you suggest? I'm on 1.77

I tried the wake lock fix... I dunno if that one was a good pick. What do u suggest?

Some guidance please?

My note was draining battery like crazy even on power saver mode, it would drain like 10% during night on power saver.
I did a factory reset it seemed to fix it for a day and then now it is draining again fast, I have all power consuming things shut off I don't know what else to do.
If there is one more tip for this would be really useful.

Some application is messing. Depends how many you have installed, try disabling them and then run each one by one...

That's a good start, 10% on power saver could be a lot on a phone with no apps, but if you have lots of apps its not that much, even on power saver some aps may be accesing the network, if you are connected to a wifi that would eat some battery as well.
If you added no apps and this happens then it could be a bad battery, unlikely but stuff like that happens.

Remember to sign out of apps like Google+, YouTube and Facebook, if you are signed in. If I notice quick battery drain, I'm often still signed in.
I dont know if the battery is bad or im missing something that is draining it

Is there a way to know if I have a bad battery please? I'm really concerned.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Unfortunately, I believe the only way you'd be able to really measure the mAh of your battery would be to compare with another of the same.
Can you post a screenshot of your battery usage?
Might help us narrow it down a little. Sounds like a wake lock but could also be due to terrible cell reception

Do you know your device and android fairly well? I am guessing its a combination of the above stated bad reception and your os & apps update schedule. There is alot of way to save power by going through and changing your notifications and app updates, as well as various settings on the os (ex. Switching to airplane mode @ night or at least turning off your data) so that your facebook isnt uselessly refreshing at 2:18am to see what club steve is at while your sawing logs.

Huge battery drain from low-brightness screen?

Hey guys, I'm struggling with a battery drain problem, and it appears to be all coming from the screen. I attached some screenshots. Any ideas?
My brightness is literally almost as low as it can go, so no, I will not turn my brightness down. I do not have automatic brightness.

You might want to try resetting your battery stats to recalibrate your battery, be a good place to start.
That's fairly normal... Screen should usually be about 70% or more of your battery life if everything is normal. 9 hours isn't that bad of battery life, but if you don't feel it's up to par, try one of these-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51743975
Screen using that much battery is a good sign... Everything is relative. The fact that your screen is using more % is a sure sign that all your apps are using very little of the battery, which is *GOOD*!
It's all a way of thinking.
Hope this helps,

How can see my onscreen battery usages?

Hey guys I wonder how can I see the onscreen battery usage of the phone.
Thanks in advance.

Download an app called BBS (better battery stats) or GSAM battery
They will give you details for your battery.
For some reason HTC has removed that option in the ROM.
