Hey guys
I obviously know what is going on I solved this problem on my G2 but when I tried allow long sms .apk on LG 180L it just wont work .. looks like it is just for G2 ?
is there any alternative apk to disable MMS switch while texting SMS ?
thnx
Are you rooted? Are you using Xposed? There is a module "Disable SMS to MMS Conversion" that you could try. It references Samsung ROMs in the description, but doesn't say it's for Samsung only. Sorry, I haven't tried it myself (as I never had this problem), so can't say anything from my own experience...

Had another quick question.......
I have noticed over the past few days, when I am texting with someone, it places their text response above the text I sent them first......
All my conversations look weird.....any ideas of why this might be happening?
I am on a rooted S3...
which texting app are u using? have u tried more than one? stock ? go sms pro? does it happen with both? what rom are u using? u need to be a little more detailed if u expect help
I had this same issue I fixed it by going to Date and Time in the system settings and selecting Automatic date and time. For some reason that isn't on by default and I haven't had that issue since.

Interesting.......I have always had mine set to automatic......but once you mentioned it, I went and looked and it was not set to automatic. I just recently rooted my phone, and now that I think about it, I have been having this issue ever since......so lets hope this fixes it.
Thanks for your help
Anyone find a way to disable the annoying loud volume warning? Tried Wanam Xposed and Unsafe Volume, but it breaks to many other apps. Any help would be appreciated.
Please Mod move to appropriate section.

Yep. Although I did change the messaging options to stock in Wanam. But it didn't help. Oh well, guess I'll be using the stock messaging app.

Just a heads up if you're looking for a pop-up type interface for the stock messaging app, give SMS Popup a try.
Is anyone else having issues with group messaging when using the stock app? I can send to multiple people in a group but replies come back individually. Thanks!!

wish i could help but mine works perfectly fine. I assume you already dove into the settings menus and made sure the group messaging text box is checked?

What model are you on? I believe the model I'm on (D855) doesn't have that option n settings.

Also, can you screen shot your settings menu where it shows that setting for me?

Check under MMS settings in your Messenger app settings. I have it checked, but it does the same thing. I think its an iPhone to Android issue. It's happened to me on any device I've owned, especially when the first message originates from an iPhone.

Like I said earlier, I don't have that option to tick in my MMS settings so not sure what to do.
I'd check with the D855 owners, the D851 has the option.

Use Textra. Free alternative to the Stock messaging application, and more robust while still retaining minimalism. Best SMS app I have ever used on Android.
I use it sometimes but I'm a big fan of the stock app

Im curious to know if you've gotten this fixed? The reason is im using an lgg3 rom for the lgg2 and im on att. I also don't have group message unless i start the group message.
Anyone solved this yet? I have the same issue. Downloaded Google Messenger, same issue. I also don't see a setting for Group Messaging in the default messaging app or Messenger.
I had this problem and fixed it. I bought the Galaxy S7 Edge. I am an unfortunate Sprint user.
Title says it all. How can i add mms over wifi? Thanks.

You need two requirements to be satisfied:
Your carrier has to support this.
Your messaging app has to support this through a feature in the settings.
I know an app that supports this functionality is 8SMS.

I'm not sure if AT&T supports this, or if it's an add-on you'd have to add to your plan. You can look into that and see. However, for the second requirement, you can download a different SMS app to test if SMS over wifi works out of the box.
I was able to replace the rest of the Moto core apps (Camera, Contacts, Messages) with the stock Google versions but when I try to install Phone it says it is not compatible with my phone. I have the T-Mobile variant.

You have to find the version on APK mirror that is labeled "no Nexus" it's the only one I've found that works. Also it seems there is a bug with the T-Mobile variant that you won't get notifications for texts with Android messages. If you do let me know how you got it to work. I have tried everything to get Android messages working without success.

Ah thanks. Looks like that version is almost a year old. That sucks. As far as Android messages I never experienced that issue. I just had someone who is on t-mobile send me a txt and it came through. I am on wifi calling if that makes a difference.

Pretty much. Downloaded it from the play store and disabled the moto messages app. The first time I launched it prompted me to set it as default and haven't had any issues.

I give up, no matter what I do I can't get it to work
I wonder if it is a problem with Android messages or the Moto. I use textra and I have no problems.
As far as the phone app goes, I installed one off the xda labs store and it looks just like the stock Android version.
Nevermind, that is a year old as well.... Sucks
We won't get a working Google dialer as you need Twrp to flash the dialer framework
I've had no problem with android messages as well. Downloaded straight from the play store installed, disabled the moto messages app, set android as default and worked out of the gate.
To anyone that needs Google dialer I've been using this thread and everything seems to work fine and most current version is up usually a few days after update. https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-dialer-t3557412

You have to go to that thread to the OP
I used this on my Note8, everything worked fine, except i couldnt get the Google Phone caller id and this is the latest update : https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-phone-v14-0-175904292-bubble-t3708218
Anyone have a Google Messages apk that works on Moto Z2 Force???

You can. I have Oreo on tmo with twrp flashed along with magisk. From magisk there's a module you can download to get the frameworks needed
